  1. Saving Process

    I recently updated my Illustrator, and I've encountered a new error. When I try to save my project, the saving process won't complete, and there are no options to cancel it. Also, it is not shown on the tasks panel. I have to open a new document and save that as a new file. After a few rounds of saving, the problem occurs again, and I have to force stop the app to prevent further issues with recovered documents.

  2. The vertical text get reversed in an exported PDF

    July 2025 PDF export worked now when I export a PDF if a number is vertical it won't read it correctly for ex. 42 will read it as 24 it only happens with vertical text numbers

  3. The font with a name which has ampersand symbol cause wrong with exported SVG file

    If there is an ampersand in the name of the inserted font, the exported svg file is not able to open due to not escaped symbol&. In fact it should be escaped into &amp, otherwise error named EntityRef will appear. After editing the SVG file manually, everything goes well.
    For example, a font with the family name "FontA&B" is inserted in a file. When I export, the svg file show "font-family: FontA&B" instead of "font-family: FontA&B" or "font-family: "FontA&B" ". So the bug might be tricky. Hope it can be fixed. This does affect my work.

  4. AI2025 v29.7.1 bug: SVG 1.1 is not accurately rendering

    AI2025 v29.7.1 bug: SVG 1.1 is not accurately rendering vector files. Even upping the decimal places, it's downsampling vectors and oversimplifying more detailed curves. Reverting to SVG 1.0 works fine. Please fix this!

  5. Files don’t save! Saving starts and never finishes and can’t be cancelled

    The saving process starts as soon as I ask for it, but then it never finishes.
    This issue is happening since I download the latest version (29.7.1)

    The problem is not even letting me to close the program in the computer because "Illustrator is currently saving the document and will close it once the save process is complete" signal is appearing so I need to finish the task from the task administrator in the computer

  6. Anti-Aliasing Method in PNG Options Resets to Type Optimized

    The Preview in PNG Options is fixed (previously reported here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/48119207), but the anti-aliasing method is not sticky anymore. It stays on Type Optimized between exports.

  7. Export for Screens won’t export artboards as a single file

    When a document has multiple artboards and is exported as PDF using Export for Screens, although all artboards are selected and a Single File option is checked, it will still be exported as multiple files.

  9. Illustrator sometimes stops responding when trying to "save as ..." a recovered file

    Illustrator stops responding when trying to "save as ..." a recovered file, afterwards one of two things happens. Either the application freezes and can only be shut with task manager, or a text box appears saying the printer driver is not compatible and opens the print menu settings

    1. Open illustrator, and textbox appears: "Illustrator just recovered from a crash" etc.
    2. press "ok" to open the document
    3. Document seems to function normally
    4. "Save as" (via file or via keyboard shortcut), destination is local on the computer
    5. Regardless whether it is renamed or not, press "save"

  10. Illustrator crashed, the file was not recovered

    ******* buggg thingy
    I was working on a file for more than 4 hours and suddenly my adobe crashed and all of my works were gone like a joke. It got relaunched and I couldn’t find my works it’s vanished.

  11. JPG werden nicht mehr exportiert

    Seit einer Woche lassen sich aus der .ai Datei keine .jpg mehr exportieren. Hierbei erschein keine Fehlermeldung. Es erscheint einfach keine .jpg Datei. Dieser Sachverhalt tritt einzig bei .jpg. auf. PDF lassen sich weiterhin exportieren.

  12. Suffix still gets added when an image is exported even though the option to add it is disabled

    While exporting a AI file to, for example JPG, the checkbox for automatic file extension (suffix) is unchecked. When I export it, the filename gets a extension (suffix) '-01' behind it. When I export, check the box, and uncheck it, the file saves without the extension (suffix), like it should. So every time I have to check and uncheck the option before exporting. Very annoying. Never had this issue before.

    Newest updated installed 29.6.1 on Windows 10 Pro.

    Anyone else has the same issue?

  13. Save/Export Dialog Fails on macOS 26 Beta — System UI Freezes After Error

    Operating System:
    macOS 26 Beta (Tahoe), latest developer beta as of July 2025
    Mac model: MacBook Pro M2 (2022)

    Adobe Illustrator Version:
    Latest available via Creative Cloud as of July 3, 2025 (v28.x.x)

    Steps to Reproduce the Issue:

    Open Adobe Illustrator.

    Create or open any file.

    Go to File > Save As or File > Export.

    The system attempts to open the save dialog but fails.

    The following error appears:
    “The save file operation failed. The save file operation failed to connect to the open and save panel service.”

    After that, core macOS interface components freeze, including:

    Finder

  14. PDF/X-4で書き出す際にダウンサンプルされる

    macOS14.7.2/Imac27inch i5/32GB mem/1TB ssd
    Illustrator ver29.5

    再現手順
    1.800ppiのモノクロ2開帳の画像をドキュメントに原寸で配置する。
    2.ファイル→コピーを保存を実行、PDF形式を選択し次のダイアログでプリセット「PDF/X-4:2008（日本）」を選択して保存する。
    3.PDFを開いて配置した画像を調べると300ppiにダウンサンプルされている。

    期待する結果
    800ppiのままダウンサンプルされずに保存される。

    実際の結果
    配置したビットマップ画像は300ppiにダウンサンプルされる。

    このプリセットでは実行解像度が1800ppiを超えた際に1200ppiにダウンサンプルされるように設定されている。配置状態で800ppiの画像はダウンサンプルの条件に当てはまらない為ダウンサンプルされてはいけない。
    また、300ppiという数値はモノクロビットマップ画像を取り扱うには致命的に低い解像度と言える。

    回避方法
    ビルトインのPDF/X-4プリセットは利用せず、同等のプリセットを自身で作成して利用する。その他、プリプレス関連メーカーが配布するPDF/X-4プリセットを利用しても良い。

    1. Place an 800ppi monochrome bitmap image in the document in its original size.
    2. Select File→Save a copy, choose PDF format, and in the next dialog, select the preset "PDF/X-4:2008 (日本)" and save the file.
    3. Open the PDF file in Acrobat and check the placed image to find that it has been downsampled to 300ppi.

    Expected result
    The image is saved without being downsampled to 800ppi.

    Actual result
    The placed bitmap image is downsampled to 300ppi.

  15. Open or place PSD file does not keep any editable layers

    I am trying to open a file that I created in PSD that has three layers plus some adjustment layers. Two of these layers are text. Regardless of if I open or place them Illustrator, the file comes in as a single bitmap layer. Open does ask me if I want to keep the layers and text, but it does not work. Place doesn't ask; it just places the image.

  16. Can't Save multiple artboards as a Single File PDF from Export for Screens in 29.6

    Even though the single file option is checked, multiple artboards will not be saved in a single file, but as separate PDFs.
    This worked in previous versions.

  17. Unable to export blank canvas using 'Export to Screen Multiple Formats'

    Cannot export blank canvas using 'Export to Screen Multiple Formats'.
    When making a brochure, one page is blank, but when using "Export to Screen Multiple Formats" to export, it prompts that a blank canvas cannot be exported.

  18. Search for a file name in the Save As dialog on Mac doesn’t work

    When saving a file, searching for a filename, to add a V2 or FINAL as the end of the file name, does not work.

    I am using illustrator 2025 on Mac OS 15.4.1

    I have made sure that illustrator has full disk permission. See attached screenshots.

  19. I have no idea what's going on when I try to save an image as Adobe PDF

    The app does not respond whenever I try to save my work under “Adobe PDF”. This has caused me to lose some of my works. I tried reentering Illustrator multiple times and yet it still happens.

  20. Saving as PDF loses all artwork outside of artboard - THIS HAS TO BE FIXED

    For 15 years I have never had an issue saving files as PDFs. I have always used the save as Smallest File Size PDF option, I do a lot of large format printing so this is necessary in order to rip files in a timely manner to the printer. Now when I save a pdf all my artwork that's outside the artboard disappears, hours upon hours of artwork just gone, no warning. Its bad enough there is no longer a way to purchase the software so having to pay monthly and the constant terrible updates are ruining me and my…
