SVG text exportation creates a fragmented code
All texts I wrote in a drawing, when exported to SVG files, were not anymore consistent: fragments of texts were overlapping each others.
I opened SVG file using a text reader and I discovered that my texts were unnecessarily fragmented in many parts that finally were badly rebuild in the code.18 votes -
I can't comment on the "č" key after the update
After today's update to version 26.0 I have the same problem with key "č". Others work without a problem.

Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

pattern swatches using raster artwork creating glitch
I am using a mac studio, M1 Max chip, Ventura 13.1, and Illustrator 27.1.1. Issue occurs when using GPU view.
I use pattern swatches extensively in my work to create a digital foil effect. My pattern swatches are made from raster images placed into Illustrator. I have been using this for years with no problem and am only experiencing this problem since upgrading my computer and my software.
When I move artwork that uses the pattern swatches, splotches of my pattern appear in my document, sometimes even on my artboard covering my artwork.
This directly interferes with my workflow.

An object's stroke thickness when it is copied and pasted
I have scales strokes and effects checked off in preferences and under transform but even if not, the problem persists. When I create an object with the blob brush tool, and I color it in, then copy and paste it, the stroke thickness changes (thicker or thinner). I am not changing size, just copying and pasting it.

Align / distribute spacing applies x10 multiplier in large-canvas document
Distribute objects doesn't work properly in a large-canvas document. In the example. I applied a spacing of 2 inches, but a x10 multiplier is automatically applied, so the spacing is actually 20 inches.

Illustrator 2022 changing stroke with changes the width height
Every time I change the stoke width of a line, it scales the height or width - even if in scale I've unselected 'scale strokes and effects'

SVG export crashes
Exporting to SVG causes Illustrator 26.2.1 (64-bit) on Window 10 (21H2 19044.1645) to crash. No export is created.

Can't Save AS!!!!!
When I try to SAVE or SAVE AS. Nothing happens. This is a random bug just pops up randomly.
It won't let me save or even save as. When I click Save As the finder box doesnt open so I can't do anything.
I'd have to force quit so that AI thinks it crashed then pray that I get my recovered document when I open it up again.
FIX THIS PLEASE.

Applying Inflate Clips the Ends of a Line
I made a line with the line tool, made the stroke 3 points wide, and chose a color for the stroke. I also went into the stroke options and chose the rounded cap. Then I used the width tool to tweak the shape of the line to resemble the object I was drawing.
When I go to Effect-->3D and Materials-->Inflate, it crops off both the top and bottom end of the line.
I'm using Windows 11 and Adobe Illustrator 2022 v. 26.5.

Highlighted selection box not appearing for text
When I select text, the bounding box appears, but when I select actual letters/words to edit, there is no highlighted/selection box showing me that I am selecting characters and which one. It's like I'm playing a bit of a guessing game: let's see if I actually selected the letters I meant to, fingers crossed!
The picture attached shows through the character tool module that I've selected two slightly different fonts(same face & size etc, just different weight) but that the text itself doesn't appear to be selected. I've only selected the italicized to the blue text at the bottom of…

This also hides a selection of a text, along with lines along the objects’ paths.

New File launch interface slow or unresponsive in latest 2023 update (21.7)
New file launch unresponsive to clicks made with trackpad and Wacom Intuos Pro Tablet (with the stylus). Seems normal on mouse.

fonts not displaying online
The specified typefaces rarely display online when sharing for review. They are being replaced by something else. This makes sharing a file online for review a waste of time. Even if I use an activated Adobe font, this font will unlikely be displayed in the browser. Even using a web friendly font doesn't help

Fonts don’t sync
I just upgraded my computer to the Macbook Pro 2021 M1. I downloaded the latest versions of Adobe and noticed none of my fonts will sync. I've tried posted troubleshooting methods and none have worked (closing and restarting apps, reinstalled apps, multiple computer resets, unsyncing and resyncing manually, etc). Any time I open an Illustrator project with previously used fonts that aren't native to the app, it prompts me to sync but the load wheel just keeps spinning and will never finish.
I'm at a loss. Any ideas?

Can't change 3D materials color since version 26.3.1
Just reporting the bug discussed in https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/i-can-t-change-3d-color-materials-in-illustrator-may-update-2022/m-p/12967705/page/2 .
In short, color and other 3D material parameters are not longer configurable since version 26.3.15 votes -
"Align dash to corners and path ends" is broken in 2022.
See title.
Here's two screengrabs of 2021 and 2022 with the following done in them:
- Draw an 800x800 pt circle in the middle of the canvas.
- Set the stroke to 800px wide, black, dashed line on, 12pt in the first dash box, no other gaps/dashes, turn on "align dash to corners and path ends".
2021 renders evenly, as expected, 2022 has the dashes at weird off-kilter angles.
2022 will render evenly if I switch to "preserve exact dash and gap lengths".

Effects from the effects pannel not working or showing settings
All the effects from this list are simply not working. It appears in the appearance pannel but not even the settings pannel pops up.

Text highlighted with Layer color while I'm typing
Do you have any idea why some of my Text objects stay highlighted with the Layer color while I'm typing (the yellow one in the video), and some don't (the orange one)?
Cmd-H doesn't change that (the yellow one stays highlighted while I'm typing).
Is this something in the Preferences, or Object settings, or Layer settings?
