  1. Why am i getting image info when i click on an image in Libraries to open it??? I used to just click and open!!

    I have to now add an extra click, just to open a licensed image. WHY? So frustrating! i want to double click on the dogs below and open the file, but i click as i always did, and it shows me image info. THEN I need to click on the pencil icon top left to finally open it! I don't want the image info!! I just want to open it! I've been using this for 20 years so don't know how on earth this suddenly started acting up. Any help appreciated.

  3. SVGs opened in Illustrator don't include blend modes

    I created an SVG in Illustrator that has some layers using the blend mode "overlay". I export out the SVG and it looks perfect. If I open that SVG in Illustrator it turns the blend modes into "normal" instead of "overlay".

  4. Delete Anchor Point tool prefers bottom object instead of the selected one

    When two anchors of different objects are layered on top of one another, the delete Anchor Point Tool will always select the bottom object, whether I have the top object selected or not. The Add Anchor Point tool and Direct Selection will select the top object, but I want to be able to delete the anchor from the top object without having to go into the isolation mode. This wasn't the case in the previous version.

  5. New Recolor Artwork information link not working

    In the new Recolor artwork 2021 panel the info button in the lower left jumps to a link that is not working currently. It was working for me before, but in the past few days it's failed:

  6. Find & Replace Freezes Illustrator

    Whenever I open a file with missing links, I'm prompted to find and replace those links as per usual. Within the last couple months, however, this feature has stopped working. I can choose to replace a missing link, and my file browser will open, but nothing is clickable and the entire software just freezes. I have to open task manager and force Illustrator to quite and then reopen it. It works if I'm already in the design file and select the link and choose to replace it, just not when I initially open the document.

  7. Using pen tool, panning, navigating layers is laggy

    Very frustrating. Just simple task like tracing sketches with the pen tool, panning with the spacebar or swiping from layer to layers causes the program to freeze. I see the pinwheel more then I see the mouse.

  8. Regular Text in SVG opens as Italics

    Please check the attached AI which was saved from an SVG exported from Avid Sibelius 2021.2 on macOS 11.2.1 — in Finder and Spotlight the preview is correct and corresponds to what was in the source program (Sibelius).
    Opening the file in Illustrator makes all text objects which were in Academico font, Regular weight, become Italics weight.
    Opening the file in Affinity Designer doesn't show this particular problem.

    I cannot attach the SVG so I'll attach the AI.
    I hope you can investigate it in the same way.

  9. Type disappears in latest update

    Typing in a text box, all of a sudden it disappears even though all indications say it's there, the right point size, and has a fill color.

  10. 3d extrude doesn't cap a cube

    Mac mini M1, BigSur 11.1, Illustrator 25.0.1
    draw a square, select Effects-3d-Extrude-
    45Deg, 45 Deg, 90 Deg.
    select Cap.
    Does not cap the cube.

  12. Illustrator file showing "text import file" tab

    when i launch my illustrator file, it showing text import file, and i click ok. nothing is shown, just blank artboard.. please help me.. it's my important file :(
    even though the file size is 1MB, but when opened it doesn't show anything

  14. Lag before you can edit a document name in Save As dialog on Mac

    There's now a lag of a second or two before you can edit a title when you "save as" a document. It's super annoying if you have to resave multiple files.

  15. Opening a v.24 file with v.25.2 illustrator doesn't work properly.

    I have to go ''file'' then ''open'' and after a long period of time (way longer than usual) it opens the files. If I click directly on file icon: it says corrupted file.

  16. Gradient colour not following path of curved line

    When I go to colour the gradient after applying it to a thicker curved line a new shape is made and takes the colour and gradient that I chose. This shape appears to be connected by the same anchors as the curve but is just a straight line.

  17. Bug: Shift + clicking anchor point with Delete Anchor Point tool doesn't retain curve shape

    24.1.1 on Windows 10 and Mac Mojave

    In CC 2020, Shift + clicking an anchor point with the Delete Anchor Point tool is supposed to work like the Simplify Path tool -- the shape of the curve shouldn't change. But even on a path with redundant anchors, this new shortcut doesn't work. The curve changes shape as in previous versions.

  18. Version 4 ICC profiles were converted to version 2 ICC profiles.

    I get this message:
    "Version 4 ICC profiles were converted to version 2 ICC profiles."
    whenever I save a PDF when using the GRACoL_CRPC6.icc profile. I get it regardless of whether an image has been placed in the document or not.

    It is very inconvenient to have to click to dismiss this message every time I make a PDF, which over the course of job will amount to 100s of times. Also it means our automation of PDF making is interrupted and requires an operator to pay attention the whole time.

  19. Appearance and coloring issues

    Appearance of grouped elements is having the old issue on appearance, that individual color properties of the elements are visible on the grouped elements, so making coloring a troublesome stuff.

  20. Opening Recent file shows "Fle does not exist" error

    Doing a File > Open Recent File is giving me an error "File does not exist". I have worked on the project for good number of hours and now I have to work all over again. Do you have an idea on how to retrieve back the file?

    OS: Windows 10
    Steps: File->Open Recent Files->Click the file name
    Expected: Opened file
    Actual Result: File does not Exist pop up message
