Illustrator 24.2 not saving changes!!!!!
Since the last update it already happened twice, and I am mad as ****!!!
I just had another file that I worked one day before, and when I opened it now, the file has a lot of missing changes! Pretty much hours of work are gone! And I will have to do all over again! Luckily I had saved a copy as PDF to show to the client, so some graphics I could recover, but all the text elements I will have to redo!

In-app tutorials not opening
I am using Adobe Illustrator 2020 24.1.2 that I downloaded from Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop.
I am operating on a Microsoft Windows 10 Home version 10.0.18363.
I opened the app and clicked on the in-app tutorials available in the Learn section. The tutorials that opens in browsers open just fine, it is only the in-app tutorials that do not respond in any way when clicked on.
I expected the in-app tutorial to open and show a step-by-step tutorial by opening a new project, similar to the in-app tutorials in other Adobe apps (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc.).

Tracing large image gives worse results than with tracing a small portion of the same image
When trying to trace a fairly large file with sparse graphics - the trace function appears to lower the resolution significantly, resulting in a junk trace. If I clip a small portion of graphics and trace that, it works fine. Shrinking the file before tracing didn't work (by half), I couldn't shrink any more without losing the fine grained art. I was able to make this work using a different product(which I really don't like). I use trace all the time, usually on smaller logos, which works fine. Illustrator 2019, 2020 keeps crashing on a new MacBook Pro, Catalina OS10.15.4. Always crashes after computer sleep
I just got a new MacBook Pro to replace an 11 YO iMac on which I was using Illustrator CS6. I had to switch to CC Illustrator. It crashes (about 8 times today alone)--almost always if I put computer to sleep with Illustrator open, but sometimes during work

Adobe Illustrator 2020 (24.1.2)-The latest updated version KEEPS CRASHING on MacOS Mojave
Hi
I'm having crashing issues with the simplest movements like dragging, changing the type sizes, accidentally double-clicking etc.
First the screen freezes.
Later everything goes blank/my screen sometimes goes full black and forced shutdown follows.
I'm using Macbook Air - MacOs Mojave version 10.14.6. (1.6 GHz Intel Core i5/ 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3).
This is happening every time I open up AI without exception.
Note: When I started my computer in safe mode-AI is working normally.
What should we do?

automatic quitting when clicking the red close button
When clicking on the RED "Close" button, Illustrator prompts me to either (Save what's on the clipboard" or "Discard". Then automatically quits. EVERY SINGLE TIME. This is NOT right no matter what your tech support peons were told to say.

Remebering fractional values in Extrude & Bevel
You can type in fractional values in Extrude & Bevel and they work fine, although AI rounds them up immediately in fields, though applies to the art.
But when you try to save this appearance in Graphic style and then re-apply to another art, all fractional bits are gone, AI treats them as integers both ways.6 votesHi,
Sorry about the issue, but the feature works that ways.
1) On applying Effects in fractional values, it gets applied immediately. While saving this appearance in Graphic style and then re-apply to another art it will work the same (as with fractional values)
2) While trying to edit already applied effects, the input details get’s rounded off. As a result, you have to enter fractional values for the precision.

The hinting not applied when export to JPG with anti-aliasing set to Hint in "Export for screen"
When exporting a JPG using "Export for screen", the hint information applied in the anti-aliasing setting is not applied and the expected output cannot be obtained.
environment / OSX10.13.6/Illustrator ver.24.0.0
Step to reproduce.
1. Files -> Export -> Export for screen
2. Set the Format as "JPG 100" and click the Preferences icon.
3. Choose "JPG100" and set the Antialias as "Hint".
4. Click apply and export.Result : The Hint no applied.
We need to get correct images like Illustrator ver.23.
Workaround
Use another functionality such as "Save for Web" or use Illustrator ver.23.6 votesDisabling 'Export in Background' in Preferences > File Handling helps to workaround the problem (until the actual fix). Make sure you enable 'Art Optimized (Supersampling)' as an anti-aliasing option in Export for Screens settings as well.

Metadata title isn't saving (24.0)
When I save an illustrator file, it's stripping out the specified metadata title and replacing it with the filename upon re-opening the file. Even if I re-enter the info in Bridge, when I modify & save the file in Illustrator, it reverts to the file name.
When I export the image though, it attaches whatever title is showing in the file info panel in Illustrator, regardless of whether it will "stick" after closing or not.Also to note, if I enter info into other fields it seems to work fine. It's only the Title that is being overridden.

Problem Illustrator 24 does not support the old PANTONE libraries
I tried to follow your guide: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/pantone-plus.html, that I always used to insert the old PANTONE libraries and have a conversion to CMYK instead of LAB and in this version it doesn't work.
I contact the online chat and they replied that this thing with ILLUSTRATOR 24 is no longer supported, and it is absurd.
I also tried to install the prereleas 24.0.1 but it doesn't work.
I can't work without this.

Character/paragraph style incompleteness
Creation of Character/paragraph style is not undoable.
You can undo any operation before and after but creation of Character/paragraph style does not get into "undo" list. You have to delete it manually from styles list.Select text\paragraph, make Character/paragraph style. Selected text/paragraph is not set instantly to this newly created style but it should.

Image embed option in SVG options does not work
Environment:
OS: Windows 10 Home
Illustrator Version 23.0.3 (64 bit)Recreating the bug:
1. Create some Illustrator artwork with a linked image (.jpg, .png, etc).
2. Export an SVG through File > Export > Export As...

Scale or rotate when using preview does not work
When scaling any object in Illustrator 2019 when using the preview checkbox the scale percentage is immediately applied to the object. So, for instance, if I enter 110% and decide that is not enough, I enter 115%. The object is actually transformed 100% AND 115%! If I press cancel, the two transformations are applied to the object, and I need to click undo twice to get back to the original.
This happens for the rotate, reflect, and shear tools too.

Generic Color Palate
I am using the newest version of Illustrator. Within the last week or so, my generic CMYK color palette has changed. The percentages that make up the color are different on nearly every color. My black color swatch used to be 100% black. Now it is C:74.97 M:67.92 Y:67.05 K:90.15. Everything in my document is set to CMYK. I changed nothing. My yellow is C:6.18 Y:96.55. Rotate tool dialogue box won't appear
After selecting the rotate tool, rotate dialogue box won't appear.
a dialogue box will appear only if I double click on the rotate tool but then I am not able to move the anchor point to the center of the object.
6 votesAs per the comment, the way to call the dialog and to define the arbitrary rotation pivot is to Opt/Alt+Click the desired position when the tool is picked.

Bringing object forward with (Ctrl + ] ) nudges left/right instead of bringing forward.
There is an Illustrator bug I have previously and am currently experiencing that makes an object nudge to the right/left when trying to bring an object forward. I've had this happen on Windows 7 and Windows 10. There is obviously a workaround for this, i.e. View Outlines > Select > Bring object to front / Cut Paste in Front / Paste in Back, Save and Restart Illustrator etc. but it is counterproductive to efficiency.
