  1. Export JPG/PNG (any format) in same folder of AI file (like before)

    Hello, since update (CC 2018 22.0.0), when I do file>export> as jpeg, the file location is the last used and not the same as the AI file just open.

    This can seems not important for you, but I do this 40x per day and now it's a waste of time. In CC 2017 this was ok.

    I have to browse all the folders on local network .. to find my folder and it's boooooring.

    There is no setting for this in preferences.

    Thank you for your help.

  2. CC 2018 PGN Exporting looking worse than CC 2017

    When using Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 back then, exporting a HUGE resolution, Inked Lineart via File->EXport As->PNG-> High 300 ppi + Art Sampled + Transparent..

    Whenever i open that file on Photoshop CC 2017, the line art looks CRISP, stylish, soft, with no dead pixels like showing off..And Photoshop CC 2017 detects it with a 19kx20k Resolution.

    NOW, when using THE SAME EXPORT SETTINGS but on illus' CC 2018, the exporting looks instant...Oh yeah, great... But when i open it on PSCC2017....The lineart looks VERY THIN, 1px like, with greyed out dead pixels.

    Please do NOT break out what's working…

  3. Unable to export Artboards as SVG

    The AI does export to SVG. I have used this constantly in the previous version, but the new version will not save the image in SVG format using the Export for Screens option.

  4. Save command does not include latest edits

    Illustrator 2018. First day using this and its extremely buggy, while working on a drawing, everytime I hit save it takes the file back several steps (like a shortcut for multiple undo's). What makes this even more annoying is that you cannot access any redo. Its as though hitting save deletes the latest memory cache of the changes you've made in the previous 10 minutes.

  5. The file saved in eps (cs 2) format in CS 6 can not be opened from CS 2.

  6. Unable to export PNG higher than 72ppi

    "Export As" command will not export PNG files any higher than 72 ppi. Even when I set it to export at 300 ppi, it still exports at 72.
    Please fix this!

  7. Transparency mask not displaying correctly, exporting error

    When using transparency mask, strange bars of masked areas appear in the artwork. This error occurs in when I export the graphic as a jpeg, etc.

  8. JPG export to RGB keeps coming up with an error

    In CC 2017 when I try and export a file to a RBG JPG file an error keeps coming up saying that the file cannot be written due to an error.

    This has been happening for a while now.

  9. Image Not Visible/Blank When Placing EPS Files into new file

    I use a program called Separation Studio to separate raster images into spot colors. I then open up a new Illustrator file, click file -> place -> select the eps file created from Separation Studio, and the image that is placed is blank. This was not an issue with any versions of Illustrator. In previous versions, you were able to see the image that was placed and even change/alter the spot colors that were brought in.   10. Export Text of Keyboard Shortcuts Crashes Illustrator

    After hitting the Export Text... button in the Keyboard Shortcuts dialogue, Illustrator always crashes. Additionally it exports an empty text file.

  11. Cannot open file with Bridge

    I am using the latest version of Illustrator, CC2017.
    Often, an Illustrator file will not open with Bridge. Bridge is also the latest version. CC2017. Initially, files will open normally.

    No other application has this problem.

  12. Placing images file then locking layers

    21.1.0 64bit

    Bug Report

    I can always replicate this. Here's how.

    1. create a new document

    2. go to file-place and select multiple image files

    3. before clicking to place images, create new layer and lock all other layers

    4. Click anywhere and it will place your image on a locked layer in the corner of the art board instead of on your new layer in the location of your click.

  13. High Sierra: "Package" function doesn't work

    Hi everyone. On High Sierra the "Package" function doesn't work properly (Illustrator 21.1.0). The fonts are packed completely, the links sometimes too, but often there are a lot missing links. The document itself is not saved into the packed folder. A message appears, that the packaging couldn't be done.

  14. Meta data in SVG file ignored

    Meta data defined in a svg file are ignored by AI when opening file so no more available once the file is saved. Option shall allow keep or ignore meta data in an svg file to avoid broking the file.

  15. SVG files scaling issue

    At the opening, AI does not take in consideration a transform define in a <use /> in a SVG file and all elements defined in this section have wriong scale (see displayingissue.png). This is not obsevable in any web browser and competitor tool. In attachement, inital SVG file and the file modified (*_AI.svg) to get correct displaying in AI.

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  16. Cannot open multiple files

    1. Version 21.1.0 (windows)
    2. Selecting multiple files, right clicking to open all files
    3. Expected results that all files open the same way I have been opening files for years.
    4. Only one file opens and locks illustrator, need to close out program through task manager, restart computer and that sometimes fixes the issue. If not I have to uninstall and reinstall illustrator and that fixes the issue for a day or two.

  17. File preview is corrupted, when bottom layer is hidden

    All Round Join/Round Cap strokes are incorrectly shown as Miter Join/Butt Cap in preview on MacOS when file is saved with bottom-most layer hidden. Contents or name of bottom layer do not change behavior.

    Adobe Illustrator CC (2017.1.0.) always scales down pasted snagit captures, which is really annoying. No problems with the same action in PS.
