Can't Install or Launch ANY version of AI 2020 after the 24.2 update
On Tuesday (6/16), I updated Illustrator 2020 to version 24.2. I launched it and created a document just fine. Then, Wednesday morning when attempting to launch, I received two different error messages, see below. I have uninstalled and re-installed every version of 2020 now and see the same error messages when I try to open it. I need to have 2020 AND 2019 both on my computer due to a plug-in for a die-cutting plotter (Graphtec plotter; software is Cutting Master 4) that doesn't have an update for AI 2020 available yet. Suddenly I can't seem to open or create new files in Illustrator.
when I tried to launch and run my ai files and trying to create new files, the application will just hang and nothing happens. I've uninstalled and re-install but the problem is still the same. It was still working fine 2 days ago. I need a solution fast because I have deadlines to meet!

I get the error "The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. [>MIT]" and once I hit the ok button it closes down. I have uninstalled three times, wiped all preferences, restarted the computer. Nothing I am doing is working. Help! TIA

Unknown Error [PARM]
I was starting work and clicked on Adobe Illustrator for the first time today, it immediately gave me this error and I hadn't even opened a document as yet.
This is the first time this error has appeared for me and I do not know why.
I closed the program and restarted it, the error didn't reoccur.
I have a pretty new powerful PC (within a year old).
I have attached my PC specs for reference and all programs are up to date.

Literally Everytime I open it it shows a grey screen after the Adobe Startup.
Im using AI and Photoshop 2020 and I cant open it at all. Though it shows no problem when I open a file. Its just I cant make new files, it doesnt work. My university work i have been postponed for 2 weeks because of this. Please help.

A blank white popup window opens over a file when opening.
Closing the window gets it out of the way & I can continue. It only happens the first time I launch AI and then open a file.
I'm on a 2016 MacBook Pro running Catalina & Illustrator 24.0.

Version 24.2.1 Crashes at Launch
I am working on a MacBook and updated to version 24.2.1. It functioned for several days and now crashes at launch. I uninstalled the application and re-installed it, but get the same result. I keep version 23.1.1 on my computer, and it works, but of course I can not open any version 24.2.1 files.

AI 2020 (v24) fails to open - error loading plugins
Illustrator 2020 (v24) crashes on launch. I am running it on an iMac running under OS 10.14.6.
I attempted to open Illustrator by clicking the Open button within the Creative Cloud launch window and by double-clicking the AI app within the application folder. Both launches resulted in the following error being reported, then the application failed to open:
Error loading plugins.

When I open Illustrator files the screen is filled with black and grey lines.
I have been working on a project on illustrator and after a few days of working on it I open the file to see this screen filled with gray and black lines. None of the options on the top are visible and all the tools and properties windows are missing.

I tried opening the file from the illustrator menu, from file explorer and tried creating a new .ai file as well.

The File New/Open screen does not work.
When clicking File>New opens a pop-up screen with title %CCXFNFTDIALOG_NAME with nothing inside.Can not create NEW file.

Intro screen icons are not aligned
- The latest version of Illustrator
- On MacBook Pro 15" icons on launch/intro screen icons that belong to the sizes are not aligned. Should be aligned I guess. With a new update 2020 still the same issue.

Illustrator crashes when opening AI file contains paths exported from Photoshop
Creating paths from selection area in Photoshop, exporting paths to AI, and then AI crashes when opening the .ai file with paths. Machine runs Windows 10 with all Adobe Suites updating to latest version.

Have to sign in every time I launch Illustrator
Every time I launch program, on the same computer, same day, even if only a short time has passed, I have to sign in with Adobe Cloud credentials. I've signed out of the Creative Cloud Desktop app and signed in. Still happens after first launch. Painful.

Slow opening of the first document!!!
I don't know if it happens to others, an Illustrator on a Windows machine "I would say performing, quite a lot" but this problem happens to me I think at least from the CC2018 / 2019/2020 version.
I start the software, open a new empty document, or open an existing document (even of small, insignificant dimensions) the document takes a long time to open (it is not immediate).
If I open a second document it opens in the right time, then it works as it should.

AI 24 freezes on startup (Mac OS Catalina)
Illustrator 24 (2020) will not launch on my MacBook Pro Retina.
- I'm running Catalina 10.15.1 and Illustrator 2020.
- The applications is installed and launched
- I expect the app to open
- It freezes upon startup
I had the same issue with InDesign 2020 freezing up (causing me to have to Force Quit the stalled app), but Photoshop 2020 did not have any issues.
I was able to get InDesign 2020 to launch by restarting in Safe Mode, then disabling the "Show Home screen when no documents are open" Preference, then restarting normally.
