Color not applying correctly on selected objects rvsd
I guess one cannot revise/edit one's own report. So here goes. I select an object and try to change the color of the stroke and fill by typing in the hex (?) code, e.g., 050505, and the color does not take. I have to move the circle in the select color box for the color to take and even then it is 50/50 as to whether the color holds. I have never had this problem before and it sure is frustrating now!

Gradient locks to a color stop in the color tab
Gradient locks to a color stop in the color tab. If I want to use a solid fill, on the color tab it only allows me to change the color stop. I cannot do anything to escape out of the gradient stop. I have to remove the gradient first then choose a color. Older versions allowed me to just click on the color fill box and I can toggle between gradient stop and object fill.

Selection of all objects inside a group instead selects group
In previous versions of Illustrator if I was inside a group, and I selected all the objects, it would treat it like typical multi-selection. Now once I've selected all the objects, Illustrator behaves as though I have selected the group.
For example, I have 3 objects at 40% opacity. I group them, so now there's a group (with 100% opacity) containing 3 objects (at 40% opacity). When I enter the isolated group, and I select the first object, the transparency shows 40%. Nothing changes when I select the second object (still shows 40%). 20 votesI am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.2.0 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

It keeps changing my ability to use the key stroke spacebar/command for the mag! I don't have time to **** around with this. Please stop changing things .

ALIGN not working correctly in Illustrator 23.0.3
Ever since the latest update for Illustrator (23.0.3) Align does not work correctly. I've got 3 items selected; I click on the Align tab; use the "Align to" dropdown box and select "Align to Selection"; then click the "Horizontal Distribute Space" icon - but it distributes it across the page instead of just the THREE ITEMS I've selected.
I've noticed other align issues over the last week or so but cannot give details like I did above because today I stopped my work so I can come out here an list my problem.

Your popup suggestion about gradients removes pen/touch input on Wacom Mobility Pro
When using a gradient mesh, a popup suggestion to check out new gradient tool features removes all but keyboard input. Until I can dismiss the popup, I can only use the keyboard, even outside the Illustrator application. Since the popup doesn't dismiss with keyboard input(at least that I've figured out), my only recourse is to save the file, close out of AI and shut down/restart the computer. Working on a Wacom MobileStudio Pro, Win 10, all drivers up to date, Illustrator is up to date.

Slow Type Performance
I just recently updated to 22.1 running on Windows 10. I have a list of names that was copied from two columns (first name, last name) that was copied from an Excel spreadsheet. I'm trying to remove the tabs between the columns and replace them with spaces. Once I hit the backspace key it takes approximately 5 seconds to perform the backspace and another couple of seconds to add the space. This is a list of several hundred names so it is unmercifully crippling. Other operations outside of type are somewhat laggy but not nearly as bad. I cleared out…

Viewing New Features from Learn kept playing—after quitting
With an Illustrator document open I clicked the Learn icon in Control panel, and chose New Features and clicked to watch the Properties panel movie. I quit AI and the movie began to play again… I hadn't quit it.
there was no way to stop it. I muted the computer and restarted AI where the movie resumed and I could stop it. I resumed it playing and quit again and it quit the movie this time. so I couldn't replicate it—but it was odd!3 votes -
ILLUSTRATOR IS BROKEN GARBAGE
First of all this bug reporting website is horendious, and I expect nothing less from Adobe who make products that should put them out of business.
Right now in Illustrator 2019 I cannot change the size of a font without stroke appearing on the text, if I turn the stroke off, the font shrinks in size again, now I'm here wasting my precious time typing out the stupidest problem imaginable. illustrator crashes when using surface pen to draw
as soon as i use Illustrator to draw using my surface pen on my surface 4 pro illustrator crashes. it did this to me in the trail of cc 2018 however i assumed it was because of the trail version. i subscribed to cc 2018 a few days ago to draw and i haven't been able to draw with my tablet. mouse seems to work but as soon as i use a brush with my surface pen it crashes and will not allow me to generate a crash report as it stays gray forcing me to restart my computer.

We have a fix and is available in the pre-release build. Please visit https://adobe.ly/1o2SDsg and get the latest build for version 23.0.5 (Build 2). While the build is prerelease this build is still of production quality. Please feel free to use/recommend it for your day to day activity.

Unable to select individual anchor point to move
I was trying to fill a shape with an object but can't select and move individual points to create the custom shape i'm looking to make. It just moves everything even if I have the other layers locked

SVG Export issue
When exporting an svg, the file is "empty". There're only some bytes, but it shows in the browser, when you do some drag and drop. So, now comes the problem, if I sending the file to a workmate he get only a "Not working img". I must export the file a few times, with the same options to get a working svg.
And sometimes the export delete the main file (.ai), I don't know why.

illustrator CC 2019 selection by path only broken with symbols
- In Prefs>Selection and Anchor Display check Object Selection by Path Only.
- Drag a symbol from the symbol pane onto the artboard. 2a. It needs to be one with a filled area.
- Choose the pen tool.
- Draw an unfilled, stroked path with an anchor point that is on top of a filled area of the symbol.
- Choose the Direct Selection Tool.
- Drag over the anchor point, making sure not to drag over any paths, just a filled area. Alternately, drag over a filled part of a symbol even without a path on top.
- Notice that the symbol becomes selected. It should…

Bug: Stroke color with 0pt width causes a switch to "outline" view.
When I have a path with a stroke of 0pt and I try to apply color, it will switch to "outline" view and won't allow me to go back to "GPU Preview", tell me something like "Can't render preview".
The only way to bypass the bug, is to save the file, close Illustrator, open it again and voila everything works.Unfortunatelly, I can't reproduce the bug right now.
