  1. Malwerkzeuge (Pinsel/Buntstift) übernehmen nicht die vorherigen Einstellungen

    Ich möchte mit dem Bunststift zeichnen und habe dabei die Kontur, die Farbe und das Profil eingestellt. Beim nächsten Strich werden diese Eigenschaften nicht übernommen. Ich muss jedes mal die Eigenschaften neu auswählen... das kann ja jetzt nicht sein? Das hat vorher einwandfrei funktioniert.
    Wäre sehr dankbar für eine Tipp/Lösung!

  2. Stroke thickness resets when adjusting gradient direction.

    Combination of two Categories: Strokes and Gradients.

    Disclaimer regarding evidence: The canvas is rotated by 60 degrees, due to the project I am working on.

    When I adjust the gradient direction (by pressing G on my keyboard), pressing & dragging in the paint-group would reset the thickness of the strokes that are involved in the paint-group. Hence not allowing the thickness of the strokes to stay constant, hence disturbing the preview of gradient.

  3. Undo after deleting a line created with the Pen tool freezes Illustrator

    OS: Windows 10 Enterprise
    AI Version: 25.4.1,
    Bug replicated with three different computers and instances of Illustrator, all same OS, same AI version, same freeze.

    I had a bunch more steps when I ran across this problem, but I was able to replicate it with much fewer steps like so:
    With the pen tool, draw a couple vertices.
    Delete the line you're making from the table of contents.
    Click on the canvas anywhere; the line reappears with a new vertex which you just made.
    Undo the vertex you just made (the first time I did it, it undid the pen…

  4. save for web (legacy) ui zoomed in

    Windows 10
    Illustrator CC 26.3.1 (but has been happening for the last couple of updates)

    Under Export> Save for web(legacy) the UI that I see is very zoomed in with no scroll bars to move around the window. I'm unable to get to anything past the line in the screenshot. I can hit Enter to save it and can hit Esc to cancel, but can't really do anything else with it.

    I have completely reset the preferences and tried checking UI scaling, neither helped.

  5. Unable to open/paste/place images from AfterEffects generated PNG sequence.

    I'm getting error when I'm trying to open/place/paste image form After Effects (22.4.0 build 54) genereted PNG sequence. Png can be any size (tested with 1080x1920 & 640x640). Images had no transparency (solid white bg).
    Error says "Requested transformation would make some objects too large". When I press OK, png image opens in another tab with dimensions of 16383x 16383px for 640x640px picture. I can open same image in Photoshop without a problem. The DPI of the image generated by AfterEffects is 72dpi.
    Illustrator version 26.3.1.
    After Effects 22.4.0 build 54
    MacOS 12.2.1

    P.S. My colleague was able to open…

  6. Repeat-> Mirror grayed out after expanding symbols

    I used the symbol sprayer to spray image symbols. Then I expanded the objects (until I couldn't expand anymore). I selected all the object and tried to mirror them but the menu item is grayed out. All the menu items under "repeat" are grayed out, except for "options...".

  8. Cannot turn off Middle Eastern feature. I am not in Middle East anymore. Type direction starts from R>L, and the numbers are in Arabic

    I activated my Creative Cloud membership when I was in Dubai, UAE, and now I am in Germany. My Photoshop and Illustrator are automatically in a Middle Eastern setting. I do not speak any Arabic language so I don't need this feature. I managed to fix Photoshop, but in Illustrator, it is impossible! Even after changing my laptop region, creative cloud account's location, setting English as the default language, and re-installing the software, nothing has happened. It is becoming a nuisance, the texts start from R>L and the numbers are always in Arabic. How can I turn off this feature?

  11. Exporting to SVG returns different code after Illustrator updates

    I use Illustrator files as source documents for complex system maps that we export to SVGs for applications. With the most recent updates, the exports have significantly changed the output code for the SVG which is impacting the javascript interactions with those svgs. The first and most substantial issue is that in calculating the viewbox attribute parameters, Illustrator is NOW including hidden layers where it once ignored them. I use a background layer which mimics our system's background colors to more closely reflect the contrasts needed and hide that for export. But where once the svg tag exported as

  12. Color change with the CPU/GPU overview with an external display

    Hello, I am on a 14" MacBook Pro. 2021

    On the MacBook screen the rendering change (CPU/GPU) does not change the color and everything works fine.

    However on an external screen the GPU rendering gives bad color (often distorted and duller), by activating the CPU rendering the color becomes normal on the external screen.

    In GPU rendering on the external screen for example, the dropper does not pick up the right color (its link images).

    On the other hand, once the color has been cut in CPU rendering, we can put back the GPU rendering (the colors become desaturated) but…

  13. Align to Center fails on imported .AI file, continuously moves right

    Mac OS Monterey 12.4
    Intel Core i5
    Adobe Illustrator (desktop) 26.3.1

    When I use the align panel or the toolbar to align the Great Seal of California, an imported .AI file, to the center of the artboard, it instead moves a number of pixels to the right. After multiple attempts, it moves to the edge of the artboard. This error does not affect other assets in the document. The error persists when switching from "align to artboard" to "align to selection".

  15. Illustrator 26.3.2 lags when wifi turned on

    Illustrator 26.3.2 on MacBook Pro, 2019, 2.3GHz 8-core i9, RAM: 32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4, Graphics: Radeon Pro Vega 20 4 GB. When wifi is turned on, performance is very laggy. Every few actions of the mouse, the screen/cursor skips and freezes, beach ball briefly appears, then back to normal after about 5 seconds.

    When wifi is turned off, app works fine. I installed the previous version and it works fine so far with wifi on.

  17. color picker - thin grey line between comparison swatches

    Today I noticed a thin grey line between the comparison color swatches on my color picker window. It puts a border between the swatches, meaning I can't directly compare their color. It's driving me nuts!

    I checked with coworkers, I'm the only one having this issue. It happens regardless of what document I'm working on. All my coworkers and myself are using the latest version of illustrator CC and are using up-to-date windows 10.

  18. BUG: Undo function now resets after ctrl. c

    Before the recent update, I could press undo to go back to a previous item, copy it (without moving or altering it in any way), and REDO all the actions over and paste that copied item but now when i just press copy, it resets so I can't redo!

  19. Asset Export

    Illustrator 2022 - When using the asset export window with one of the file types being set to SVG, the resulting SVG MAC OS finder previews show up as empty artboards. If you open them in illustrator the art is there, but way off on the canvas and I have to manually select all then align them to the center of the artboard. Very annoying. This never happened with Illustrator 2020.

  20. Discover panel’s videos don’t have Full Screen button

    OK, I am a new user and want to use Discover to make some learning.
    Illustrator shows me the video of steps I need to perform.
    How on Earth am I going to view these that small, if I am not familiar with the UI? What good do they make being shrunk like this?

    Also, when you try to see maybe the cog button has something useful, the video covers the menu. Just great.

    And even if you find the 'Read article in a browser' link, it’s somewhere deep below, and you have to scroll all the way down.
