1. Files have a swatch that cannot be deleted

   Please help me understand why this swatch cannot be deleted. In this case it is a Pantone swatch, but in other files it's just a global color. I have deleted all objects and links in this file to be sure it's not connected to some hidden element.

   Thank you for looking. It is becoming an issue in file cleanup for clients. They all have this one odd, unremovable swatch from another project.

   As it turns out the swatch was in use by the plugin.

   If the same happens to you — try to check all the symbols, graphics styles, anything like this in the document that might use the swatch.

2. Hyphenation ignores pre-hyphenated words

   Many languages have pre-hyphenated words (like 'pre-hyphenated').

   When I setup Hyphenation with Before and After values, I expect Illustrator to apply these to each part of a hyphenated word, not to the whole complex word itself, like Ai does in the picture (where the arrow is pointing). Instead, it should prefer the existing hyphen to break a line at, not just one symbol away from it. This forces users to use 'no break' often (which is hard to call) and generally spend more time on editing.

   Here is a text example.
   Not
   pre-h
   yphenated
   but
   pre-
   hyphenated

   ...and obviously it can’t be fixed with a discretionary hyphen. First — it does not force Ai to redo the flow, and the hyphen should be there all the time, and not only on breaks...

   I checked if InDesign behaves the same — and it does.

3. Illustrator goes not responding every time Font is scrolled through

   I had my Illustrator 'not responding' every time i scroll the font character. I tried to install the old version but still no avail.

   This issue has happened since a month ago and I had reported many times through feedback from the app itself.

4. Cannot save data to cloud after folder creation

   MacbookPro M1 /Ventura13.0
   Illustrator 27.5

   Reproduction procedure
   1. Create a new folder when saving data to the cloud (in this case, the folder name is "素材" in Japanese)
   2. I tried to save the file to the cloud as is, but it was not saved. I tried several times, but could not save the file.
   3. It was possible to save the file locally. After saving locally, it was also possible to save the file to the cloud in the "素材" folder.

   It would be great if the folder could be created and then saved as is.

5. Glitchy Selection of simple rects, freezes, lags

   I haven't used Illustrator for some years.. you can check my previous posts with great ideas and upvoted.

   And now I just back to Illustrator, installed it trial on a fresh macOS MacBook and got this lags, video attached.
   I just created empty document, with a couple rects and when I try to select any it lags like a crazy, everything is jumps, freezes etc.

   I have latest macOS up to today and just installed Illustrator firstly on my MacBook Pro M1.

6. Certain commands in Window menu don’t work in 27.5

9. GPU preview greyed out

   Mac Mini M2 Pro 32GB/1TB
   Ventura 13.4 (22F66)

   Illustrator 27.5

   Just opening a file and the View using GPU is greyed out, which results in slow performance.
   The file has 6 linked images (2 jpg + 4 png) which are totally below 40 ΜΒ.

12. Illustrator not copying SVG code to clipboard

    After updating to v 27.5, objects that I copy and then paste into other apps are pasting as un-antialiased rasterized images. Previously, the copied data would paste as vectors into apps that accept SVG data, and antialiased transparent PNG images in other apps. To get around this I am first pasting into XD, then copying the data as SVG. It would be good to restore the original behavior of the clipboard.

    According to the team, SVG copy/paste was disabled by default as many customers see performance issues on Windows 11 (due to clipboard recorder). It can get enabled back again in Preferences > Clipboard Handling > Include SVG Code.

13. Share for review don't show the correct link for the file

    1. I shared for review a number of files, each time creating a new link for each file
    2. Now when I open the files and click share it doesn't show the correct link for that file and I can't update the link.

14. Automatic hyphenation with + instead of -

    Sometimes (not always), the automatic hyphenation divides the word with an "+" sign, instead of a "-" sign, which it should be. It appears with various fonts, it is NEVER reliable, sometimes I write a PDF for the customer, it has the + inside, I see it, I open the AI again and everything if fine again, without restarting anything or changing anything. Sometimes it gets not written correctly for weeks and I have to hyphenate myself, which we all know, is a drag in Illustrator.

    Where is the Problem located, and how do we fix it.

15. Can't open specific files by double clicking icons (macOS Ventura)

    ファイルアイコンをダブルクリックしてもファイルが開かないことがあります。Creative Cloud Files に置いてある .ai データで発生する事象のようですが、正常に開くファイルもあり、法則性は今のところわからないですですが、開かないファイルが置いてあるのと同一のフォルダ内にある他のファイルもことごとく開かないのでフォルダによって挙動が異なるのかもしれません。（フォルダ名やファイル名に関するエラーメッセージなどは CC アプリでは表示されていません）
    開かないファイルは Creative Cloud Files からローカルデスクトップに移動またはコピーするとダブルクリックで開きます。

16. There's a problem creating a NEW link to share the document after the initial link has been created.

    If you open an exiting document that has been shared with a link, resave the file with a new name, make changes, then try to create a new link, you will get an error.

18. "The file is not readable" Can't paste image into Illustrator without saving it to computer

    When I try to paste an image I copied from pinterest/google etc, it always shows "the file is not readable". Now I have to save every image I want and then drag and drop/place it in illustrator. Which is an additional step I don't need and is very frustrating.

    I've never had this problem before. Can anyone help?

19. Save as... it is not working in my MACBOOK Pro

    I was working a a project requested by my Teacher. I saved the final project .AI plus I needed it PDF version as I needed share both with my Teacher for grade purposes. But, it is not possible save as PDF or export as image nothing.

    When I save, a message error shows up and If I try to open the pdf the same message appears. But, if i look the PDF document saved I can see a miniature of the work. I shared with 3 colleagues and also with my Teacher and all the people said they can visualize this normally.

    So, I install and reinstall again my Adobe illustrator and the same issue continues. I tried to save another .AI document and its saved normally.

    Can anyone help me on it? It is something in this particular .AI file?
