  2. Bug - App not launching

    My Illustrator app is not launching. I have tried restarting my computer, reinstalling the app, and tried various ways of opening the app, but it's not launching. Help!

  3. tear-off

    Mac: 10.14.5
    Illustrator version: 23.0.4

    In the past I was able to save my workspace with toolbar tear-offs (shapes, pen, etc.). When I re-open Illustrator and select my custom workspace, my tear-off tabs are not present. I'm hoping to get the tear-offs to save with my saved wowrkspace.

  4. A number of my panels will not open - e.g.: when I click to expand the character panel, all I get below is a black box.

    Many of my panels still open as they should. However, I'm having this problem with the info, character, paragraph, properties, stroke and align panels. Any help on what could fix it would be greatly appreciated? I've searched on the adobe support community and google and no one else seems to be having this problem. Thanks!

  6. Illustrator 2019 inoperable after Windows 7 update

    Windows 7, CC 2019, 64-bit PC:

    Since latest Windows 7 update, Illustrator opens but none of the tools work, and the pull-downs roll back up before I can select one. Coworker with Illustrator 2017 has the same problem. Photoshop and Acrobat work.

    Also, after the second-to-last Windows 7 update, we can no longer print a second PDF after making the first one, from any program (Illustrator, InDesign, AutoCAD...). We still have this problem too.

  7. GPU rendering problem. - My graphics appear pixelated at certain zoom levels. Comes and goes. Very annoying when working.

    This happened a few months or weeks ago.

    I am using Macbook Pro - 2017
    OS version: Mojave 10.14.5 (18F132)
    Adobe Illustrator: 23.0.4
    This issue disappears when I turn of GPU rendering but I am used to working with GPU rendering ON.

    I am hoping for a fix on this soon or maybe there is already. please let me know. Thanks :)

  8. New Document > Bleeds behaving strangely

    1. In the New Document window, begin by unlinking the bleed settings.
    2. Set your top bleed to any non-zero value.
    3. Click the link to re-link the bleed settings. All 4 settings will appear to change automatically, to match the top bleed set in step 2.
    4. Click OK

    Unexpected result: A new document appears with only a top bleed, instead of matching bleeds on all 4 sides.

    Tested with the same results on Mac and Windows, both running Illlustrator 23.0.3

    EDIT: Sorry, just realised I hadn't specified, this error is in the legacy New Document window, not the new one.

  9. Illustrator crashes (hangs) when creating a new file on second monitor

    When creating a new file in Illustrator on my second monitor, the program hangs, and I have to force quit it.

    If I try to do the exact same operation on my main monitor, it works as expected.

    Pretty straight-forward operation to get to the problem, but if you need any further info, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

    Windows 10 Pro (1903)
    i9-9900X
    RTX 2070 (430.86)
    64 GB RAM
    2x HP Z27 UHD Monitors (connected via DisplayPort)

  11. レイヤーパネルでオブジェクトの非表示と表示が切り替えられない

    クリックして非表示と表示を切り替えようとするのですが、一瞬切り替わったようにパネルは反応しますがその表示がすぐもとに戻ってしまいます。結果操作しても切り替えができません。
    特定のオブジェクトだけこの現象が起きます。同じAIファイル内の別のオブジェクトは普通に切り替えられるものもあります。

  12. 4K Display Proportion or scaling distortion

    I'm having the following problem which has been noted as a bug by Adobe support:
    When creating a square image or artboard on a 4K monitor (mine's a Samsung U28-E590) the rendered image or artboard (and anything else really) is made longer in the X/horizontal dimension. So a 130 x 130mm block measures 130 x 135mm when measured with a physical ruler at 1:1 scale.

    By simply moving the entire application window over to the Macbook side the proportions are displayed correctly and the X and Y sides are identical. This issue arrises regardless of starting up Ai on the…

  13. Error reading SVG 1.2 files

    SVG files generated by Avid Sibelius (music notation software) display perfectly well in Chrome, Safari and Firefox but is very distorted in Illustrator. Line paths are too big.

    If I open the file in the SVG online editor at https://editor.method.ac/. them save it (without editing anything), I can the open it in Illustrator with almost no problems.

    I'm including a sample file. Open it in Illustrator and Chrome to compare.

  15. Importing a page from a multi-page PDF replaces the already imported one

    Hi!

    Ever since Illustrator 23 when opening a PDF with multiple pages with a document already open, the PDF opens into that open document and changes the artboard. At the same time it also opens a new empty document with the name of the PDF. It does not matter if I use open from the menu or if I use drag and drop... When no other file is open it behaves like it should and opens the PDF correctly.

    Please provide a solution...

  16. Weird font rendering problem

    I have a client-provided font (IND-Hoboken Sans) that is rendering W (capital w) strangely. The apex should be square/flat, but Adobe apps (I used Illustrator as my test, but I've seen the same problem in Photoshop as well) render the 1st & 3rd apex on an angle (even more bizarrely, different angles). Other applications (Font Book, TextEdit, MS Word, Keynote) render the character square as expected.

    Most bizarrely, Acrobat does NOT have this problem & renders the character as the system does (ie. as expected). As a test, I created an Illustrator file with the same word as both live…

  17. Completely wrong displayed information

    Illustrator is displaying offset clipping masks, will Not display Objects properly or at all as if they are entirely transparent with every setting I can find that says it shouldn't be.

  19. Save for web values bug

    This is a bug, not an idea. This affects Photoshop, too.

    In the Save for Web dialog, when punching in new values, those values do not commit unless you manually select something else before hitting Save.

    For example, if I punch in a different value under Image Size > Percent, I cannot just hit Enter or Tab then Enter and have it save at the percentage specified.

  20. Illustrator 2019 23.0.4 suffering from (memory) problems

    Illustrator is very unstable. Sometimes it starts with all menus grayed out - need to force quit. It complains about memory when working on very simple documents. Hangs the complete Mac - needs hard restart.
    Lots of issues, not always reproductable, without error messages - seems quite fundamental.
