  1. Cannot copy/paste Chinese font into Illustrator. Show box with X in it

    Cannot copy/paste Chinese font from PDF to Illustrator. Get squares with X's. Cannot change to a different font it defaults to MyriadPro. Also, I do not show Chinese under the Character drop-down.

  2. windows 7 illustator v24 failed to save with new terms pop up box closing despite accepting.

    I had a pop up today saying must accept new terms and conditions for people under business accounts/ team plans - which I am not but I clicked accept anyway. It said you couldnt keep using it if not.

    The warning illustrator would close if closing the window I assumed meant if not accepting but nope - it closed - it gave me save dialog box cool i thought. except that the save out failed ive just got the part save .tmp file and my last lot of work all missing,

  3. Cannot open Illustrator after updating to version 24.1.2. Windows 7 reports an error "missing VCRUNTIME140_1.dll". (The 24.1.1 is ok)

    Cannot open Illustrator after updating to version 24.1.2.

    Windows 7 reports an error "missing VCRUNTIME140_1.dll".

    (The older version 24.1.1 works fine after downlaoding.)

  7. MY ENTIRE FILE DELETED

    I've been working on something every important and Illustrator CRASHED. Deleted everything, even it was saved to a flash drive. I've even been working on it today and now it's gone. I am LIVID.

  9. Saving recovered file causes Adobe Illustrator 2020 to quit

    Illustrator unexpectedly quit which created some recovered files upon the reopening of the application. When trying to save this file, Illustrator quit again. This keeps happening and I am unable to continue with my work.

    I tried updating Illustrator however the same issue is happening.

    Operating system: mac catalina 10.15.3
    Adobe Illustrator version 24.1.2

  10. SVG bug with "use" element

    Steps to reproduce
    1. Open IllustratorBug.svg in Adobe Illustrator
    2. Open the same file in Chrome or Firefox browser
    Result: Illustrator displays the image incorrectly. See the attached files.

  12. Can’t save Graphic Styles

    I absolutely cannot save graphic styles I have created for the graphic styles library. The icon is blank and I cannot find any information for fixing this. I have looked at all the tutorials but this issue is not addressed. It is NOT WORKING!

  13. Illustrator loses links to artwork that is renamed in library

    When I rename a graphic I am reusing throughout my file, all links to that graphic are lost and when I try to copy layers containing those linked graphics, Illustrator reports the following errors:
    - "the document contains pdf objects that have been reinterpreted"
    - "an unknown imaging construct"
    - "an unknown shading type"

    If I have many instances of that artwork in multiple layers, it takes a lot of time to have to find every single instance, delete it, drag the renamed graphic in, move it to the correct layer, resize and rotate, and reapply the styles I had…

  14. Missing Text on Menus?

    I'm working on a 21.5 inch late 2015 image, 2.8 with 8GB using Mojave. I'm not quite sure what steps are happening and if there is a hardware issue on my side, but when I use Illustrator, there is an intermittent bug that seems to happen. Here's how it goes:

    Using Illustrator, usually the pen tool.
    The spinning beach ball pops up.
    The screen freezes for a few seconds.
    When it pops back into play, none of the menus have text. Literally, NONE, even those outside of Illustrator (Chrome, the Apple drop downs to restart/shut down)

  15. Updated UI has some issues - Tired of Updating - Tired of Bugs

    Happy that Adobe continues to try to update the products. That being said I'm a little worn. I constantly get notifications from Adobe Creative Cloud App about updates and there seems to be some issues. Still working out of a previous version of InDesign for numerous reasons. Weirdly found all of my Creative Cloud docs (of which there's not too many luckily) in the trash can this AM. I was able to recover a heart skip and waste of time later. Additionally the Illustrator Update... Well... Just looks sloppy. Help me, help you... And give us a good products with…

  17. Nothing works under the file tab

    When I click on any of the options under the file tab absolutely nothing happens. Cant save, place, export, create new, etc. It seems like everything else is working perfectly. I can hear my computer whirl when I click on things like it’s working and registering, but when I click on anything under file I hear nothing, like it’s not registering that I’m trying to save. I really need to export these files for a project by next week so this is urgent!!

  18. Illustrator (version 24.1.2) crashes every time I use the crop tool.

    I have been using the crop tool without an issue over the last year and a half, right up until yesterday. Today my illustrator refuses to work the second i click on the crop tool, and instantly crashes. I tried reinstalling it, but it hasn't improved.

  19. Problem with Flatten Transparency

    Hello,
    I found a but in Illustrator CC 2019 and 2020 MacOS 10.14.6 and Windows 10 v1903. I will report this to Adobe.

    A. I create a glas effect on a non circle object with blending dark to light red and a black and white gradient mixed with ›screen‹ to it.
    B. I flatten the transparency with the highest or other option. Always is a clip group (1), that shound be automatical removed. For better seeing, I put it on top of the group ›after flatten tranparency‹.

  20. artboard/canvas will not center; confined to top left corner

    Artboard snapping to top left corner of window- zoomed at 67%;
    snapped to right of window at 100%

    Following your post instructions ....

    1. On Windows 10 latest; Adobe Illustrator latest (on cloud) -
    2. Believe I was scrolling the canvas - may have zoomed out
    3. Expect canvas to reduce and stay centered
    4. Canvas snapped to top left and when I zoomed back to 100 % it snapped initially to top right

    Please fix (it has happened a few times) - thank you
