Same in Photoshop. Massive problem for what is a basic function. Very poor

Same here! Really annoying and time consuming. As if you could't talk on a smartphone, but everything else.

I just had Indesign and illustrator open. Woke my computer up and had the issue. Closed only Illustrator, put the computer to sleep and woke it again and it fixed the issue for Indesign for now.

I am also experiencing the same issues and must restart my machine several times a day in order for CC products to be usable.

This is happening to just about everyone and you cannot replicate it on any computer? Seems unlikely.

I have not done the latest update but this new issue is probably the weirdest .AI bug I’ve ever had. Having to Restart the computer each time and then it comes back at random. This has ruined 20+ years of automatic hand controls and is absurd. You guys should be ashamed of letting something like that go awry.

But you have us captive with your subscription based software so we are at the mercy of ADOBE who is becoming more and more like the AT&T Death Star to most of your longtime and loyal users. We don't need more and more features every few months. We really just need a solid platform that we can rely on to make a living. I would pay just about anything for a hard copy of CS6.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with this zoom issue. I recently switched to CC and am absolutely frustrated. I've been using adobe software for over 20 years. I've NEVER had so many issues. I can't keep quitting and restarting my computer just so I can zoom using the same keys I've used forever. I'm also getting log out error messages which only repairs itself after a restart. And they expect us to pay 600 bucks for this??? Its absurd. I own CS6 and may go right back to that. Not one issue - ever.

I also have been experiencing this just recently. I though it was only Illustrator but it is in Photoshop too. You have to close everything out and restart the MAC to fix it. I have been using space bar + command and option to reduce and enlarge the art board on the fly for over 20 years and now that is is gone it is killing me. Costing me work flow and time!!

The last few updates of Illustrator seem to be getting more and more buggy. The Command+Spacebar bug has been on and off for a while and it's annoying. Among other things like the palettes jumping from one monitor to another etc, etc. Definitely a waste of productive time

Same here! Constantly issues with Illustrator on all fronts. The zoom function is totally unpredictable. Adobe should re-design Ai from the ground up... Their bad legacy code is killing my workflow.

I too am having similar issues with various tool bar icons, Zoom is one that when using the option key to toggle between + and - it give me a hand... not want i want. Also some time ago the selection tools got reversed.

I am having the exact same issue as well. Was working fine one minute and then the next my hotkeys stopped working altogether on my keyboard (in ALL Adobe apps - Illustrator, InDedign and Photoshop. Can someone please help. It’s so annoying!! The shift key isn’t even working to move elements over in a straight line.

Developers PLEASE PLEASE read these comments. It must tell you that continuously bloating the software is a bad idea. Please spend time fixing and refining. I'm experiencing the above issue at the moment and I don't know how to fix it but it shouldn't happen at all. I've been using Illustrator since version 1.0 and I've had more issues in the last 5 years compared to the first 25!!

version 10.13.6 and Illustrator CC 2019 and zoom and hand tool shortcuts stopped working for me. With Illustrator 2018 it seemed to work. Not entirely sure when I went to 10.13.6, but with High Sierra and CC 2018 my keyboard shortcuts worked as expected. I know I did some long overdue updates about the time I updated to CC 2019 and now the keyboard shortcuts are dead.

If you are running Webroot, go up to the top right short cut menu bar and click on Pause Secure Keyboard Entry. You will need to do this each time you open Illustrator, but it solved the problem. It also prevented me from resizing picture boxes in InDesign using the keyboard. This solved all the problems!

Same here!! I have the same problem! My hand and zoom tools ( shortcuts ) are NOT working! At some random times they start to work but that's for too short and then again not working.
