  1. Selection Tool Bugging Out In Catalina

    In addition to the Save/Save As issues as described in previous posts, I've also noticed that the selection tool randomly quits working. Specifically, the bounding box disappears and you can't reinitialize it and you certainly can't scale or select. Need to do a full restart of the app to correct.

  2. Dropbox saving issue

    When I try to save a new file on, save as and choose it to save on dropbox. The folder I've selected that I want my file in, immediately start syncing all my online-only files to local.

    Please see attached for visual explanation.

    Does any1 know a way to work around this?

  3. Illustrator CC 2019 Crash on Open / Create - Oct 2019

    Illustrator CC 2019 Crashes on Open / Create

    Windows 10, could not open files or create new in Illustrator CC 2019 but CS6 was fine.

    Updated Illustrator CC - same issue.
    Uninstall / clear prefs / reinstall - same issue.
    Searched forums, found this: https://community.adobe.com/t5/Illustrator/Illustrator-CC-2019-keeps-crashing-when-opening-files/td-p/10641479

    I JUST updated my printer driver a couple of days ago because I was having printer issues. I hadn't opened Illustrator since then. I uninstalled my printer and voila! Illustrator will open / create files now.

  4. New Update (v 23.1) View pdf after saving error

    Now when saving a pdf and the button for "view pdf after saving" is checked, acrobat opens and says "there was an error opeing the file".

  5. ドロップシャドウのバグ

    最新23.1.1にて、効果→スタイライズ→ドロップシャドウを作成後、それを選択して編集→カラーを編集→グレースケールに変換 をすると、グラデがベタになってしまいます。（23.0.6だと問題なし）

  7. CC Libraries import yields progress indicator for thumbnail

    With the most recent release of Illustrator (23.1.1) on a Mac running Catalina 10.15 Beta, any time I drag an item into the Libraries panel, a thumbnail fails to appear (instead I get a persistent animated progress indicator). I'm able to see the correct thumbnail of the imported item in other Adobe apps (Photoshop and InDesign), as well as online (Libraries --> View on Website). Only after I restart Illustrator do they appear.

  8. Panels, windows not updating or displaying correctly

    Finding this bug a lot recently. Basically I will be working in a file and the tool panels won't display, you can right click and see the the pop ups but nothing appears. Likewise if you have two or more documents open and switch between them, the screen stays the same. It says I'm on the new document but it doesn't change. The only way to fix it is to close and restart the program. I also get it with photoshop. Both at work and home.   10. "Export for Screen" default folder is one specific folder and wont change

    When i use "export for screens" the default export location is one specific folder on my desktop, if i move that folder or put it in the trash, the default export location will change accordingly to "follow" the location of the folder.
    This happens for all files, also if i create a new file. A screenshot of this phenomenon is attached

    For reference, im on MacOS Mojave 10.14 and (the newest) Illustrator (CC 2019) 23.0.6

  11. Expanding compound path causes a shift in the object shape

    If I call Expand on a compound path, there is a shift in the width and height of the object. This seems to only be a problem when the stroke is in the center. If the stroke is inside or outside, there isn't a problem.

    Illustrator can display width and height values respecting the width of strokes and effects, if you enable Use Preview Bounds option in Preferences > General. It also makes bounding box larger to fit them visually, hence the change in dimensions.
    When it’s off, only geometric shape is taken into account, ignoring stroke width or effects.
    When you expand the shape, the stroke is not a stroke anymore, but a filled path, that makes the overall group geometrically larger.

  12. Wrong starting format measures ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR IN CREATIVE CLOUD

    WRONG STARTING SIZES B FORMAT IN ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR

    B4 size is 250x353mm
    and
    B5 size is 176x250mm

    I was keep getting wrong printed formats because i was just pressing given model without carefully lookout.

    Adobe Illustrator 23.0.6 crashes after 2 minutes of launch. Tried reinstalling, restarting the computer but the problem still persists. Trying to install the previous version now :(

  14. Make Hide Edges shortcut work when in Dialog (Swatch Options, Transform Each, etc)

    In some operations (e.g. Transform Each), we discover that the selection edges are influencing the perception of the preview. It would be nice when the Hide Edges command can be triggered while still in such an operation, in stead of leaving the function, turn off Edges, and repeat.

  15. Fonts missing and say I need to re log in

    When I open a past project from creative cloud folder It directs me to find a missing font. But the font finder doesn't sync to my library. Now Im stuck with a missing font on a logo project that just messed my whole design up. Plus when I export the project as a export safe for web... png 24 the file export look pixellated and not a vector file.

  16. Artwork in Clipping mask doesn't resize

    Illustrator 2019 on PC Windows 10

    When I resize artwork sometimes anything that's inside a clipping mask doesn't resize. The shape I created for the mask resizes, but the artwork 'inside' stays static.

    If I undo and retry a few times it will eventually work. I'm using the 'black' arrow to select the object and resize with the handles. I'm not using either of the white arrows. So I don't think it's a selection issue on my end.

  17. Transformations committing even upon cancel

    Even MORE issues with latest version of Illustrator which are rendering it almost unusable for me. When using one of the transformation dialog boxes (Move, Rotate, Scale etc) if the preview option is selected, as you change the numerical values to see what the effect might be, it commits each of those changes. Even if you CANCEL out of the dialog box it will have made the transformations to your object and you have to make multiple undos to get back to your starting point.

    Found the same issue with the Free Transform Tool, it commits changes in little stages…

  19. Direct Selection Tool on Control Handles Doesn't Work Properly After Puppet Warp

    Normally, you can adjust a single control handle of an anchor point with the Direct Selection tool without affecting the other control handle. But after you perform a Puppet Warp on a shape, this is no longer the case. Using the Direct Selection tool on a control handle affects both handles simultaneously.   20. Radial grid inaccuracy

    Not many may use the radial grid, but if you're into special shaping and structures you need them often. Very often. They are a super tool to divide elements, for instance. Sadly, in CC this tool is no longer precise. Not all radial dividers meet the circle around them. This means not all radial dividers are equally long, which is a pain. Attached are screenshots of a portion of the dividers in a same-size radial grid in Illustrator CS6 and Illustrator CC 2019, and of what happens when I try to construct something in CC, which I have given up…
