1. 文字組みアキ量設定や禁則処理設定を含む文字列ペースト結果が不安定

   Windows 10/11の、Illustrator Ver.25.4および26.0.2で起きる不具合です。

   1. 文字組みアキ量設定、禁則処理設定を任意で作成する
   2. それらを適用した文字列を作成する（片方だけでも構わない）
   3. 該当文字列をコピーする
   4. 新規ファイルなどにペーストする

   この場合、文字組みアキ量設定や禁則処理設定はペーストしたファイルと文字列にそのまま反映されるはずですが、反映されず、ペースト先に用意されているプリセットの設定が反映される、または設定「なし」としてペーストされます。
   何度かペーストすると反映される場合がありますが、ペースト時の挙動が不安定としての不具合にナｒいます。

2. Drag and drop to place file sometimes embeds instead of linking

   When I drag and drop a JPG/PNG/PDF/AI file from Finder into an Illustrator document, it normally drops in as a link. However, sometimes it unexpectedly embeds the artwork instead of linking it. If I try again repeatedly, it continues to embed, so to fix it I have to go to File > Place and ensure that "Link" is selected (which it already is). After that, if I drag-and-drop from Finder again, it links the artwork as expected.

   This issue is seemingly random and I can't figure out exactly how to reproduce it. I always link files (not embed them) when I place them via File > Place or via drag-and-drop, so I don't know why it sometimes decides to embed.

3. Colour Variation when using "Darken" transparency

   Why am I getting a colour variation on screen when using the "Darken" mode in the transparency field.
   See attached illustrator Pdf.
   The "Substrate" spot colour has the "Darken" applied which is layered on top of the colour wedges.
   Should the colours of the wedges not display the same irrespective of whether "Overprint Preview" is on or off?

4. The name "Black" is automatically blocked when creating global swatches

   If you create a new global color swatch, regardless of the breakdown, the name "Black" is automatically blocked. The name "White" is not.

   It seems silly to call this issue out, but I've prepared logo libraries for eight and a half years now, and this has been an ongoing consideration. When I create a black swatch, there is always an extra step. Sometimes I intentionally misspell the name to create the swatch, or I create a non-global swatch with the correct name, but in both scenarios I have to adjust the swatch AFTER it is created to produce a black global swatch with the name "Black." The same extra step is not required for a white global swatch with the name "White."

   A comparison of my workflow below—

   Black Global Swatch:
   1. Remove all swatches from the file
   2. In the Color palette, click the 'Black' color shortcut
   3. In the Swatches palette, either click the 'New Swatch' shortcut at the bottom or select "New Swatch..." from the menu
   4. In the New Swatch dialog box, change the default name (depending on color mode, either "R=0 G=0 B=0" or "C=0 M=0 Y=0 K=100") to "Black"
   5. Check the 'Global' checkbox
   6. Select "OK"
   7. No swatch appears in the Swatches palette

   White Global Swatch:
   1. Remove all swatches from the file
   2. In the Color palette, click the 'White' color shortcut
   3. In the Swatches palette, either click the 'New Swatch' shortcut at the bottom or select "New Swatch..." from the menu
   4. In the New Swatch dialog box, change the default name (depending on color mode, either "R=255 G=255 B=255" or "C=0 M=0 Y=0 K=0") to "White"

5. パスファインダーの分割をするとズレが起きる

   Adobe Illustrator 2021、2022、2022(Prerelease)

   ２つの上下に重なった絵柄で、下の絵柄の形に沿って上の絵柄を分割をすると、ほんのコンマ数ミリのズレが起きます。
   100％や200％の拡大率では見えませんが、30000％とか大きい拡大率だと確認できます。
   あとズレているため、余分なパスができてしまい、その後の作業に支障がでます。

6. Filename is no longer selected in Save / Save As / Open dialogs in macOS Mojave

   In macOS Mojave only the filename was selected in the Save / Save As... window.

   Now nothing is selected so you can't start typing right away or the extension is also included in the selection. So if you need to save multiple versions or need to add a number at the end of a filename you could hit the Right Arrow key and start typing.

   If you do that now the cursor moves after the extension, you have to move 4 positions back or delete the extension entirely and then start typing.

7. Select Same Fill/Stroke Color ignores Compound Shapes

   Select > Same > Fill Color (and I assume the other related functions) ignores the color set for Compound Shapes (if it differs from the color of the original shapes used to create the Compound Shape). Even if you have one selected before triggering the function it refuses to select it. It is as if it cannot see the color assigned to the Compound Shape itself.

   Windows 10, latest version of Adobe Illustrator 26.0.1

   1. I have a file consisting of multiple rectangles all with the exact same color (e.g. black).
   2. I make two rectangles of a different color (e.g. red) and combine them into a Compound Shape (Alt-click using the pathfinder).
   3. I set the fill color of my Compound Shape to the same color as the other objects (black).
   4. If I now select one object (even if it's the compound shape), and choose Select > Same > Fill Color it will select everything except the Compound Shape

   Select > Same > Fill Color (and I assume the other related functions) ignores the color set for Compound Shapes (if it differs from the color of the original shapes used to create the Compound Shape). 10. Color guide issue/bug

    When I click on color in "color guide" it doesn't work. So shape has (let's say) "old" color. I can click on "new" color 10 times and nothing happen. Some colors works, some colors doesn't response.
    PLEASE FIX.

11. Locked and/or hidden objects still become selected

    The object is locked and/or not visible, yet when the layer is selected, all objects including the locked and hidden objects become selected and move when they should not.

12. Saving to Creative Cloud is Changing My Patterns

    This has to do with repeating patterns. I'm using Adobe Illustrator 2021, desktop.
    Attached is a picture of 2 circles on a background (shield your eyes, it isn't pretty :-)). When I make the pattern - in this case, the circles were drawn with the blob brush - the inside of the 2 circles is empty and we can all see the background. It's a ring. When I pull that pattern out of swatches, however, it will color in that background. In this one, it's black. It changes depending on the pattern and the colors I'm using. And it is not consistent. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes it happens to just some motifs in a design and not others.
    After countless tries to figure out what it is, it does appear to be that patterns saved to Adobe's Creative Cloud will have this happen, whereas if I save it to my computer, it will not. Thank you for the help!

14. [Bug] Copy and paste broken - Unable to paste text without losing formatting, unable to paste shape+text

    Hi there,

    The copy and paste function within AI seems to have broken. This started a few days ago. I don't think there was a software update. No new software/hardware changes on my end either.

    Operating system: macOSX v11.4
    MBP (13" M1, 2020)
    No clipboard enhancements/plugins/apps

    Version of AI (Desktop): 25.4.1 and 25.3.1

    Steps:
    Scenario #1:
    Copying and pasting a shape with text, within the same artboard
    Result: Shape does not get pasted, text is pasted without original formatting, at Myriad Pro 12pt, changed from Area Type into Point Type.

    Scenario #2:
    Copying and pasting text, within the same artboard
    Result: Text is pasted without original formatting, at Myriad Pro 12pt, changed from Area Type into Point Type.
    Same results using both Keyboard shortcuts, or via the Edit menu

    Repeating Scenario #1 and #2 with:

    Paste in Front

    Paste in Back

    Paste in Place

    Returns the same results: No shape pasted, text becomes unformatted point type.

    Other observations:
    Same results using Keyboard shortcuts, or via the Edit menu
    Makes no difference if shape and text are grouped or ungrouped.

    Copying and pasting a shape alone does work (somewhat), but the positioning is somewhat unexpected.

    Paste in Front/Back/Place result in the shape being pasted elsewhere on the artboard.

    Very rarely, the pasting works (fluke) like in 1:05 of the screen recording

    I have tried the following:
    - Reset and deleted preferences
    - Uninstalled and reinstalled (25.4.1)
    - Uninstalled and reinstalled rolled back version (25.3.1)

16. Tile printing cuts image off.

    I have attempted to tile print an image from Illustrator at least 6 times. No matter what settings, it cuts off about 1/8-1/4" of the image. I have been tile printing for decades and now the feature doesn't work correctly. Please inquire. I'm extremely frustrated.

18. Recent work thumbnails are missing on the welcome page

    When I launch my latest version of the Desktop illustrator app there are no more visible the thumbnails of the recent work. Please bring it back.

    • Launch Illustrator.
    • New Project.
    • Add shapes, or text.
    • Select all.
    • Rasterize.
    • Click Object to reach Trace.

    Tested on a New Admin User with the same result.
    NVRAM Reset
    Safe Mode
    Recovery Mode/Disk Utility/First Aid
    Tried with different project files and formats (.ai, .pdf) with the same problem.

20. Inconsistent undo behavior when making a compound shape with a clipping mask

    I understand this may not be as common a use-case, but while trying to figure something out, I was puzzled when undo did not return to the state I was expecting. Below are the steps to reproduce this issue:

    Create a shape, such as a rectangle. Give it a color.
    Create a different shape and place it somewhere overlapping the first shape. Give it a different color.
    Select both shapes and create a Clipping Mask by right-clicking and selecting "Make Clipping Mask"
    You should now see only the overlapping parts of both shapes, as expected.
    Open the Pathfinder panel and click on the menu icon and choose "Make Compound Shape".
    The outlines of both shapes should be visible.
    Undo, and the overlapped clipped shape step is skipped and instead, only the first shape is colored and the selection is a group, which was never made.
    Undo again and the second shape is colored.

    I'm not sure what the expected result should be. Maybe as if they were never clipped at all? To be honest, I was looking for something like the Merge function, without creating empty fill shapes. This doesn't do anything like that though.
    It looks like instead of making a Clipping Mask on redo, it's just grouping? I've provided a video.

    My system is Windows 10, 20H2, 19042.1165.
    Illustrator version is 25.4.1
