1. error import data illustrator

   Illustrator has a bug when importing letters or names that have accents or unconventional symbols in a batch import the letters never load. I send a cvs file. Load it with batch option and search MEJÍA name.

2. Font Height Options misbehave with rounded fonts

   Recently I started to notice that some of the fonts I use make wrong result when x-height or cap-height is used to set a font size.

   I clearly see that the height is of, by eye and the underlying grid, but Character palette says otherwise. I outline the font, I measure glyphs and I get smaller dimensions.

   Take a look at the file and the picture attached.

   When fonts with straight terminals are used, everything is fine. Visual dimensions match metrics precisely.

   But when a font with rounded terminals is used, like two examples at the bottom, things go weird.

   Here is my idea what is going on.
   Curved glyphs are made with the optical compensations. You can clearly see that with 'o' glyphs. Both top examples have their o-s slightly bigger than the x-height — and that is correct.

   When a font designer makes a vertical terminal rounded, they lower it below the baseline to compensate the lack of weight this rounding causes. If you compare the vertical stem of 'r' with the bottom bar of 'z', you will the that 'r' overshoots the baseline.

   So if you measure a glyph with flat top and bottom, like 'z' (here), you can see that it stands on the baseline, but the x-height is smaller that set 40mm.
   If you measure an 'r' glyph from the bottom overshoot (which is below the baseline) to the top point (notice that it differs form font to font and thus can not be used at all) the result is off again.
   But if you measure from overshoot to the flat top... now it gives 40. And this seems to be what Illustrator does.
   Instead of measuring from the baseline, it starts from an optical compensator some glyphs have and should not be used for the measurement. It takes right metrics, but starts at the wrong, overshoot zero.

3. Graph type tool crashes when selected.

   iMac Pro, Monterey, Illustrator 27.0.
   With a graph selected I click on the graph type in the contextual mouse menu (right click). Illustrator crashes.
   Same crashes on my MacBookPro latest Intel version running Ventura with Illustrator 27.0.
   BTW: give us a working graph tool, not this dinosaur from 1995.
   BTW2: Make Illustrator multi core.

4. Transparent items appearing as opaque

   Shape ontop is 10% opacity but appearing as 100%, but off the artboard is back to 10%

5. Divis/Minus-Zeichen und Leerzeichen am Zeilenanfang ergibt falschen Wortabstand

   macOS Monterey 12.5.1 / Adobe Illustrator v26.5

   Beginnt eine Textzeile mit einem Divis/Minus/Bindestrich und einem folgenden Leerzeichen/Wortabstand, so beträgt der Abstand zum nächsten darauf folgenden Zeichen nicht wie üblich ein Viertelgeviert, sondern ein Geviert. Die darauf folgenden Wortabstände in der gleichen Textzeile verhalten sich normal. Beginnt man jedoch mit der Eingabe-/Return-Taste eine neue Zeile, so erscheint automatisch auch an diesem Zeilenanfang ein Divis mit anschließendem Geviert-Wortabstand. Dieses „Geister-Divis“ lässt sich nicht separat anwählen.

6. Sloppy GUI design

   In the most recent version of Illustrator for Mac, 24.0.0, the Save as dialogue seems to be designed by a startup company for use on Windows. :) Not a big issue, but please, Adobe, move the Format drop-down menu so that it sits in line with the Save cloud document button. This hurts my eye.

7. 和文組版の横組み文字列中の文字回転

   Illustratorの日本語組版で、横組み文字列中の1文字を回転すると、文字が上下・左右に暴れて表示されてしまいます。
   ※縦組み中ではそういった不具合は観察されません。
   添付ファイルのように検証してみましたが、その回転の際の原点あるいは挙動原理などがよくわかりません。
   例えば、添付ファイル右下のように補正してみても、同じファミリー内でウエイトを変更しただけでもその補正値は変わるようです（平均字面が関係している？）。
   和文書体は、（欧文ベールライン位置や平均字面は様々でも）基本的には正方形の仮想ボディに納められていますので、仮想ボディの中心を回転の原点としていただければ、このような補正の手間がなくなるのではないだろうか？ と考えられます。
   挙動を変更していただければ、作業者の負担も軽減されるでしょう。

   なお、このような「横組み文字列中のひと文字を回転する」という処理は、あまり日常的にすることではありませんので、既存ファイルへの影響も軽微なものであろうと考えていますが、変更していただくならば、【その変更を周知】していただくことは大切なことだと申し添えておきます。

8. Direct selection tool appears to move whole object until mouse release

   When part of an object is selected using the direct selection tool (selection tool and holding 'V' key down) the whole object appears to move to the new position until the mouse is released, at which point all the unselected points snap back to their original position. I'm assuming this is a bug and not intended?

10. Using Type Character Panel generates error message 100% of the time

    Whenever I use the Type panel in Adobe Illustrator 2022 (Beta) 26.6.564, the bug window in the attachment opens up. This happens when trying to select a font or change any font characteristics. It occurs on two different computers running Windows 11 22H2. One is an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X with 32GB DRAM-DDR4 and the other is a Xeon processor with 64GB DRAM-DDR3.

11. ダイレクト選択ツールでクローズパスからセグメントコピーでプレビューに残像が残る

    ダイレクト選択ツールでクローズパスからセグメントをコピーするとプレビューに残像が残ってしまいます。
    過去のバージョンでは長年、このような表示やプレビューの残存はありませんでした。改善してもらえませんでしょうか？

    1. Windows10 Adobe Illustrator 27.0
    2. クローズパスのダイレクト選択ツールでセグメントをクリックしてAlt（Option)を押したまま真横にマウスドラックでコピー
    3. 元のクローズパスのシェイプは固定表示されたまま、アウトライン表示でドラックしているパスをリアルタイム表示、クリックを離した瞬間選択中のパスのセグメントが抜き取られるようにコピー完了、プレビューの残像は残らない（過去のIllustratorバージョンの通常の表示を期待していた）
    4. 残像が残ってパスをコピーする元になるクローズパスは変形プレビューされてしまい、プレビュー画面で残像が残る

13. 和文組版、縦組みでタブ設定した後の文字を「縦中横」にするとクラッシュする。

    和文組版中、縦組みの文字列でタブ設定した後の半角英数字を「縦中横」で縦にしようとするとアプリケーションがクラッシュする。また、「縦中横」設定した文字の前にタブを打ち込むと同じようにクラッシュする。

14. Data Recovery is Disabled for This Document

    Shortly after creating a new file, I receive the message "Data recover is disabled for this document due to an error in recovery process in last session. To enable data recovery, save this document with a different name.". I've not used any complex art and have not saved the file.

15. Small objects rotating instead of scaling when grabbing corners of bounding box

    New laptop has forced me over to Win11 & the latest suite. Illustrator 26.3.1

    When trying to grab small objects by their corners to scale, it rotates.

    Expected result - Being able to scale!
    Actual Result - Rotating, immediately putting the object at 45 degrees.

    An old thread from 2018 ("Rotate vs scale") claims this may have something to do with scaling on high res monitors but was marked solved without being solved. This new laptop has a 4k screen.

    If you hover the cursor juuuust inside the corner it works, but anything outside and it's forcing rotation.

    If I zoom in, I can then grab the corners to scale.

16. Error css classes in svg export

    In version before 26.2, applying a graphic style to a simple object (rectangle, line, etc.) allowed the name of that graphic style to be used as a CSS class in the an exported SVG. So a graphic style of "thick-outline" would become a CSS class called ".thick-outline" when the SVG file was exported with internal CSS.

    Now, a useless class called "cls-1" is applied to the illustrator object instead, making re-use of overriding of the style in the SVG difficult. This is a regression that makes the usefulness of the SVG export feature limited.

17. Text from Old Version Of Illustrator Not Visible in 2022 version

    I am currently running AI 2022 on a Windows 10 machine. I had a file that I created on AI 2019 that I wanted to open and edit. When I open the file, none of the text appears and I cannot click or edit it. This also occurs when I try to open PDFs of the 2019 AI files in AI 2022. I even tried editing the PDFs in Acrobat, but that just crashed acrobat.

19. Scripting Issue on MacOS Monterey

    We had this script for Illustrator that will export PDF and images with predefined presets. This was working until some of our team upgraded their macOS to Monterey.

    When they tried to run the script it will create a PDF and images with different file names, we are expecting that it will have the same file name from the AI file.

    EXPECTED RESULT:

20. Properties panel interface spacing bug

    The Properties panel is displayed with extra spaces between all the fields,
    it's to the point where you have to scroll down to view the quick actions.

    I tried resetting preferences and reinstalling yet it's still showing in the same way.

    I'm trying zooming in and out on the panel with Ctrl + mouse wheel but it doesn't seem to work.

    Any proposition to find a solution to this annoying interface bug is welcome.
