1. Can't Access a Saved File from a folder in Google Drive

   The Issue:
   I saved an illustrator file then closed the program. After some days, I reopened the program. I could see the preview thumbnail showing my latest edit but when I clicked on it to open, it went back to a much earlier version of the file. This has now happened twice. Please help if you have solved this successfully.

   Illustrator 26.2.1 (64-bit)
   OS: Windows 10
   RAM: 12GB
   Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6600U CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.81 GHz

   It turns out the folder is managed by Google Drive, and it restored a previous version for some reason.

2. PNG BITMAP

   I'm having a problem with the PNG bitmap, in Illustrator 2021 the image background was automatically transparent after import. However, in version 2023, the background is solid or not transparent.

4. SVG Export code issues with fill gradient color

   When I export SVG (Save as -> Save as SVG), the path with a a fill gradient color generated a dirty long CSS code:

5. New Document modal misalignment

   When starting a new file, the modal that pops up where you can determine the document properties/preset details (title, size, orientation, bleed, color space, etc.) has the values for title, dimensions and bleed misaligned inside their bounding boxes.

6. SVG export from Indesign PDF not cropping to artwork

   Part of my team's workflow involves exporting a PDF from Indesign 2021 (Mac) and then converting to SVG via Illustrator "Export As…" with "Artboards" unchecked. Illustrator 2021 and prior versions cropped the SVG export to the artwork, which is what we want. Illustrator 2022 and 2023 always crop to the artboard, even when it's unchecked.

   What appears to be happening is that the Indesign pdf has a page sized clipping path which Illustrator used to ignore, but no longer does. I'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature, but we really need it to go back to the old way, as we're getting new machines and can no longer install Illustrator 2021.

7. A lot of empty PNG when using Export for Screens function

   When exporting with Export for Screens, many empty pngs are created in the file folder. The bug occurs completely randomly. The number of files also defies any explanation. There may be 10 or 1000 files at a time.

   System: Windows 10, Illustrator v.26.0.3

   New details: this bug occurs if you copy complex graphics to the clipboard. Video attached. I suspect the meshes are to blame.

   Update: If you disable Clipboard Handling → Include SVG Code or clipboard log Windows, the problem disappears.

8. BridgeTalk.getSpecifier( "estoolkit") no longer works in Illustrator 2022 & 2023. Returns null

   I have a script that runs in Illustrator and needs to send progress information to a ScriptUI user interface running in Extendscript Toolkit. Since Illustrator 2022, the function call BridgeTalk.getSpecifier( "estoolkit") returns null. As a result, my script is unable to send messages to Extensscript Toolkit. My workaround has been to use Illustrator 2021, where this functionality still works. It works in Illustrator 2020 & 2021 but does not work in Illustrator 2022 & 2023.

9. Shadow rendering

   So, I did something around 3d and I come into an interesting bug when I do a V-ray. Those ugly patchy things are there if any scenario, and after reinstalling. They show when I move, when I export and all that jazz. Any idea why this is happening?

10. Delay from keyboard causes unnecessary errors

    I've reported this in the past, and I'm shocked and frustrated that nothing has been done to resolve it: There is a delay between when a button is pressed on my keyboard and when Illustrator registers it. As someone who has used this application for over 20 years, I'm very fast. As a result, when pressing (for example) the OPTION key in order to do anything (like changing the direct selection tool to the Group Selection tool) it takes an additional half of a second for Illustrator to register the change. Considering the speed at which I work, this means the key I clicked is not acknowledged in time, and the wrong command is executed. This also happens in Photoshop but doesn't happen in non-Adobe applications, which leads me to believe this isn't due to a low battery or something outside the application. The last time I opened a case on this subject I had to let it close as I couldn't afford to waste any more time waiting for a resolution, but I am at my wit's end with this nonsense.

11. SVGs are missing elements when opening with Illustrator (and PhotoShop too)

    For the last several weeks I've discovered that opening SVGs with Illustrator (and PhotoShop in fact) results in a significant portion of the artwork being missing. I've opened over 100 SVGs from multiple sources and every single one is missing elements when opened in Illustrator. When opened in Inkscape or Google Chrome the SVGs are fine. See attachments for an example SVG file from the web.

    My work is almost solely in SVG for compatibility with other devices (laser cutter, etc), and not being able to successfully open ANY SVG is incredibly disruptive. I can export from Inkscape as EPS then it will open in Illustrator, but it's not the right file type for my needs. I also shouldn't have to use a free, inferior program to work around bugs in the very expensive software I pay for.

    I'm using the newest version of Illustrator (26.3.1)

12. Arrange Error

    The program doesn't allow certain layers and artwork to be arranged to the front... have to start over on specific things because of whatever the bug is that doesn't allow "arrange" to work properly.

13. テキストフレームでグローバルスウォッチの変更が適用されない。

    OS/macOS10.13〜、Windows10 (20H2)
    ver/25.4.4、26.0.3

    エリアテキストオブジェクトのパスにグローバールスウォッチを適用し、そのオブジェクトを複製した場合、描画がグローバルスウォッチの編集に追随しなくなる。

    再現手順
    1.エリアテキストを作成しテキストパスのみを選択して塗りにグローバルスウォッチを適用した上Command（ctrl）＋option（ALT）を押しながらドラッグし複製する。
    2.選択を外した状態にし、適用したグローバルスウォッチをダブルクリックし編集に入る。
    3.プレビューにチェックを入れた上でカラーを編集する。
    4.コントロールバーやカラーパネルでの表示は変化するがテキストパスの塗りは変化しない。OKをクリックし編集を終了する。
    5.スウォッチパネルなどの表示は正しく更新されるが1.のテキストバスの塗りは表示が変わらない。

    期待する結果
    グローバルスウォッチを適用したテキストエリアオブジェクトのパスでも他のオブジェクトと同様にグローバルスウォッチの変更に表示を追随させる。

    現状の挙動
    エリアテキストのパスに適用した塗りがグローバルスウォッチの変更に追随しない。

    対応策
    一旦アウトライン表示に切り替えてからプレビュー表示を行うとグローバルスウォッチの値にて再描画される。

    この挙動を細かく見てみると複製したエリアテキストのパスに対する処理に問題がありそうです。１点だけだと再現しません。また、オブジェクト的にはカラー値は更新されていますので単純に再描画が行われていないように思われます。

14. Freeform Gradient Crashes Illustrator

    If press V and I select seemingly any object in my drawing, press G to select gradient, and then I select Freeform Gradient, then Illustrator simply freezes forever until I force it to close. I'm able to select Linear and Radial gradient just fine. This only seems to happen with Freeform Gradient. I attached my file to this ticket. If you want a specific object to try, try the blue handle of the sword in the bottom right. But it seems to happen on any object.

    I'm using Adobe Illustrator 26.0.3 64-bit.

    My RAM is not overloaded, and I have a great CPU, so it does not seem performance related. I'm using 64-bit Windows 11 Home 21H2 22000.493. 32 GB RAM, Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.60 GHz.

15. pathfinder - unexpected behaviour inside script

    when I select two compound paths and subtract, I get a fully selected group.
    If I create an action consisting of just the pathfinder operation and run it from the actions panel, the result is identical.
    If I call this action from extendscript, the group sometimes is only partially selected. - and the following steps produce unexpected results :(
    It turns out that adding an extra object.selected = true can help.
    I observed this in 2022 edition, I have the impression that this did not happen in 2020 edition

16. Cloud Documents Do Not Open (Urgent)

    There is a bug that I have been experiencing for some time with my cloud documents in Adobe Illustrator. Like any other day at work, I'll open up illustrator and go to open one of my cloud files that are accessible on the home screen under 'your files'. However, these files for some reason have become unresponsive to my clicking on them. Double-clicking on them to open results in absolutely nothing happening. I can move the file around to new folders and other functions under the three dots, but I cannot simply open the file by clicking on it. This makes them completely inaccessible and totally makes storing them in the cloud completely useless.

    I have had this problem on two different machines so far, and have tried various fixes such as resigning in and reinstalling a fresh version as well as restarting my computer.

    Here are the specs for the first computer I experienced these troubles with:
    macOS Monterey 12.3.1
    2.6 Ghz 6-Core Intel Core i7
    16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
    AMD Radeon Pro 5300M 4GB

    Here are the specs for the second:
    Windows 10
    Intel Core i7 -10750H CPU @ 2.60 GHz
    16 GB Ram 2933 MHz
    NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super

    I should also mention that if I open a new file and try to open up these cloud documents by going through File>Open Recent Files> they will not open either.

    Documents won't open through using Adobe Creative Cloud either.

    So in conclusion they will not open through the standard home interface or through the open-recent-files- function and I need mega help.

17. slicing problem

    I'm having a weird glitch with Illustrator. The program works fine until it suddenly the selection stops working. no matter which tool I select I get the same result- the cursor slices any shape that's selects. I can't pick anything or preform and other function, the cursor just slices the shape. If I close the program and restart it it fixes itself only to happen again a few minutes into the re-launch.

18. Print setup dialog

    Windows 11 Enterprise 21H2
    Adobe Illustrator 26.5 (64-bit)

    BUG!
    All printer settings are greyed out under general, and no preview.
    Need to go into Adobe PDF printer settings, then back to the desired printer to activate the settings under General.

19. Stroke Aligned to Outside of Filled Shape and Fill of Shape Not Aligned

    When aligning a stroke to the outside of a fill area, there are areas in which the fill area is incompletely filled, or the fill extends beyond the stroke.

20. Vectorisation doesn't work as with CS6

    Before I could vectorise a file (for example this one "SourceFile.gif") and the relsult was like the attached one "VectorisedFile.ai" with the fonction "Image trace" and it works with the 2 following option "line art" or "technical drawing".
    Why doesn't it work anymore ?
