1. AI 23.0 crashes when drag-copying simple objects when yo have HotDoor's CADtools installed

   Since I installed version 23.0 it frequently and repeatably crashes when drag-copying even the simplest objects. In the latest example it was a line segment -- two connected vertices. After recovering, I rebuilt the objects and tried again -- same result. This is such a basic operation that I do it without thinking -- having it cause an instant crash is very debilitating to my workflow.

2. yellowish tint background within jpg file

   I updated the illustrator 23.1 and yellowish tint is still there among my jpg file. how can I get rid of it?

5. Global colours don't seem to be preserved in freeform gradients

   I have complex files that are made up of multiple gradients to create a 3D effect. Some of the gradients are linear and some are freeform. I am currently in the process of creating artwork files for both print and digital. To create the digital files I am converting all the files to RGB. There is a specific brand colour that has a different RGB make up than the standard conversion. I thought, no problem, I'll just update the global colour swatch and it should cascade through. But it doesn't! It does on the linear gradients, but not on the freeform gradients. In fact despite going through and linking all the points to specific global swatches, once I save the file, close it and reopen it again, or copy the elements into another file, the freeform gradients seem to completely forget the global swatches. As you can imagine this is very frustrating and currently doubling my workload!

   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

7. Print Dialog Error Happening Every Day

   Everyday after about four to six hours of use I go to print a file and get this bug. It renders the software unusable and I have to force quit the program and restart to get my recovered files. I really have no idea what is causing this error.

8. GPU start

   Hi there, here is my issue what i found.

   Create new file, start working - illustrator is little bit slow. In Preferencies i switch on GPU - everything works perfect. After work i close Illustrator app. Next launch I see the home screen but everytime if I want to open new file or file I was working on before Illustrator freeze and does not work.
   Only working solution for this issue is from home screen go to preferencies switch GPU of - open document - switch GPU ON and after that I can continue on my work.

   My HW configuration: MSI Prestige P75 9SE, Intel Core i7 9th gen, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, Windows 10 Pro, RAM 16GB

9. Rasterizing a clipped image/group of objects results in extra white space in the resulting image.

   If I rasterize a clipped image, the result is the same size as the clipped image but with extra whitespace surrounding the clipping boundaries. Expected result, IMO, should be that the resulting image is only as large as the clipping object.

10. Freeform gradients become uneditable

    I actually don't know if this is a feature request or a bug report, but I can't edit freeform gradients after I deselect the object with the gradient and then come back to it. When I come back to an object with a freeform gradient, using the gradient tool, the mouse pointer gets a little "no" symbol next to it (Wikipedia says it's called a general prohibition sign) and I can't see, let alone select and edit, any of the stops of the gradient. Is this a bug, or am I supposed to not be able to edit these? If it's not a bug, then this is a feature request for the ability to edit freeform gradients.

12. Simplify preview problem

    When I choose Path > Simplify… and have the preview button checked, the simplification happens as many times as I adjust the percentage. ie it will simply to 99% and the 97% of 99%.
    Whether I click OK or Cancel, all of the actions have been performed and I have to press undo until it is back to normal.
    This problem arrived at the same time as the scale/rotate/reflect etc preview issue (which have now been fixed thank god).

13. Recolor Artwork stops working if more than one document is open

    If I have two documents open, I am unable to use Recolor Artwork under Color Guide. It just stops working. Nothing happens when I pull the sliders, click to randomly change the color order or click on color groups. It's broken.

    Everything turns back to normal when I close the other document.

14. Can’t make an object opaque

    So, I have a very odd quirk happening. When I changed an element from 100% opaque to 70% then copied it and grouped it. Now when I ungroup it the same element that was 70% opaque now thinks it is 100% opaque.

    Essentially I can no longer make that element completely opaque anymore. I have to place another instance. This is a bit of a pain when I have resized or altered the placed element.

    I am running the latest version of Illustrator as of this post.

    I did some searching here and my issue is very similar to this issue:

    Bug - Element Transparency not adjustable after setting transparency once.

    Placing elements on pasteboard works fine. I adjusted the transparency of the element on layer to 40% over a red box. Now the element shows that transparency. If you try to revise the transparency the properties window shows the element at 100%. There is no way to adjust the transparency back to it's original 100% or know the current transparency.

15. Illustrator looses workspace settings

    Good day. My problem is that I worked for a very long time in Adobe Photoshop (cs3,4,5,6, cc). But Ai surprised me - to make a backup of the workspace I have to go to AppData / Roaming / Adobe / Illustrator etc. and make a copy of the folder, because when I open a new document, I get a completely different space. (Export/import settings do not help) Why can’t you transfer the settings to the program, and not to the open document? Every time I do as I feel comfortable and every time I reduce the Tool panel, because it opens in two columns. Why complicate this?

16. Millimeter setting for font size not correct! cost me $1000s in reprinting

    I'm a freelance designer working for a top hair care brand which markets their products world wide. We had our entire front label product run rejected because it did not meet EU regulatory standards for ml and net weight type size. When creating the labels the first time I set my font size from points to mm to ensure I met the minimum size requirements of 3mm. Imagine my surprise when we heard from our EU distributor our product was rejected! This is where I made my mistake I trusted Adobe Illustrator program to ensure when I set a font size at 3mm it was going to be 3mm. It WAS NOT it was around 2.5mm in size. How I confirm this after the news is I checked the ALL CAPS font against a 3mm square box. see attached screen shot from illustrator of the issue. This issue has cost my client and thousands in reprinting costs to correct the issue.

    Illustrator today offers Font Height Options, to set the font size using x-height and cap height. This should help following standards and controlling the exact dimensions of type.

17. Type objects duplicated on top and converted to outlines

    Sometimes when opening up a file, type objects are copied and placed exactly above the original type object, and converted to outlines. There are sometimes anywhere from 1 to 3 duplicated objects. It usually affects every type object in the document. The same issue has been affecting my colleagues' computers, and we often work off of the same documents and share them with each other.

    We all have 15" MacBook Pros, using either Illustrator version 2018 or 2019, on Mojave.

    Does this problem happen with the latest Illustrator build?

    If it does — please provide additional information:

    1. What is the format of the document used, .ai or .pdf?

    2. Does it happen with all the the type objects in a document, or only for some specific fonts, or point / area type only?

    3. Do these have any effects or custom appearance applied?

    If you have a chance to create a test file with this issue reproducible — please share it in the comments.

    The issue seems to be random and can't replicate every time.

    If I copy a group formed by a path and text sometimes, when pasting, the path is expanded (?) and the text loses its format.

    When pasting "in Front" or "in Back" sometimes works but ussually pastes in the left upper corner of the artboard.

    When pasting a text in any possible way (in Front, in Back, in Place ... ) all format is missing.

    The result is a little task consuming double or more time as the expected, delaying my performance and productivity. Plus the frustration that comes with it.

19. Rotate tool is acting strange

    When using the rotate tool, the angle is in the dialog box (whatever I last used) is automatically applied to my object. If I just try to change the angle it applies that rotation to the new position (based on what I used last), rather than applying the new rotation from the original starting point. I can't even begin to explain what turning preview on and off does, so I included a short screen grab for you. Using Illy version 23.1.1, with MacOS Mojave 10.14.6. I also am using the entire sweet of Astute Graphics plugins.

20. Track type doesnt work after last update

    Hi, our graphic studio has a client-a big financial institution, and his entire visual style is created in a special calligraphic track. After we installed the latest update there is a change within this track. When we click on the illustration/or change its color, the entire track changes and the original style is gone. The attributes of the original track remains the same but there is a change within the style, is looks totally different. It also doesnt work when we choose the track and draw new illustration - it looks different. We also tried to create new document , copy paste the illustrations and it inserted without our track style, so again it looks different.
    We are 100% sure that this problem started after last update, because we had a mac which didnt have updated Illustrator and the problem wasnt there.
