1. A general un-usability

   I use a Mac desktop. Illustrator 28.1. There is a lot going wrong for me when using Illustrator lately. Overall it crashes itself like crazy as well as makes other apps on my computer not work when running it. It won't open sometimes, won't respond when in illustrator. Won't let me access the tool panel, so I have to force quit and re-open my not saved file. There are artifacts that will randomly show up in my art board. It's acting as if Illustrator is taking up way more memory than usual. I have been just having to force quit or start my computer completely. Even after that it's not running great. I have been waiting for an update because this has been only since the past update it's been behaving this way. Theres been no change in the apps I run along side it.

2. Scrolling Stroke Arrow Styles Crashes Illustrator

   When editing a stroke arrowhead, Illustrator freezes and crashes when I try to scroll down the list of available arrowhead options. It will happen in the properties panel and the other stroke panels. It is 100% repeatable. I can select the arrowhead styles that are at the top of the list no problem, but if I scroll it crashes.

3. プレビューを終了できません。指定した処理を実行できませんでした。

   プレビューができない。

   ショートカットキーでグループ解除を繰り返し行っているとアートボード以外がすべて黒塗り状態になりAi操作不可能、反応なしに（Windowsキーからweb等は開けPCは正常に動く）。PC再起動でファイルは開けたがプレビューが出来ない状態（線画）CPUアウトラインになる。PC再起動とAi再インストールを繰り返し行う。
   表示操作　ショートカット操作でプレビューを行うにもプレビューを終了できません。指定した処理を実行できませんでした。と出て改善しない。

   OS: Windows11 Pro　Intel 1265h　RAM32G
   アプリのバージョン再インストール前: Illustrator CC 2023 ver.28

4. duplicates all the placed images

   Every time I open a document with images I get an alert about images not found, without having moved them since I saved the document and when I locate them again, when the document is opened all the duplicate images appear, and it places them in the center of the document . I attach a screenshot of how duplicate images appear to me

5. All my links rotate 90° when opening the file

   when i opened my file, all the links in 0° rotation, rotated to 90°... now i have to rotate all individually. x_x

   this happened to me other 3 times in different files in the past.

6. Illustrator Window hopping around constantly - unusable

   A lot of times when I use any illustrator function, like switching to layers, switching panes, or choosing any tool - the window just jumps away.

   What the heck is that? It makes it unusable because my window just jumps around on the screen?

7. ライブペイントオブジェクトにオーバープリントブラックを適用した際の問題

   ライブペイントを適用したオブジェクトに対してオーバープリントブラックを適用するとライブペイント設定が消える。

   macOS11.6
   Illustrator CC2022以降

   再現手順
   1. 線や麺の組み合わせでライブペイントを作成し着色する。
   2. ライブペイントオブジェクトを選択し「編集→カラーを編集→オーバープリントブラック」を適用する。
   3. ライブペイントに対して指定した処理が消え、閉図形外で保持されていた線も幅0.5pt、K100の黒に変化する。

   期待する結果
   ライブペイントオブジェクトに対してオーバープリントした際、閉図形外のK100の線等以外にオーバープリント属性を適用せず、ライブペイントオブジェクトの状態を保持する。

   実際の結果
   ライブペイントオブジェクトに指定した塗りなどの情報が消え、元から持っている線幅等の情報も一定値に変化する。

   代替処理
   ライブペイントに対する「ブラックオーバープリント」は行わない。必要なオーバープリント指定は手動で指定するか、ライブペイントオブジェクト自体を拡張してから「ブラックオーバープリント」を適用する。

8. Transparency panel shows 0% for the mixed opacity values

   When having a selection of art with mixed opacity values, Transparency panel should display blank, as Illustrator does for color values or stroke weights, but instead it lies they all have 0%.

9. Replace File doesn't work (creates new file)

   I opened an EPS file, made changes, and then saved. When I saved I was alerted that the file already existed and asked if I wanted to replace the file. I selected Replace. However, Illustrator ignores my selection and creates a new file with '-01' amended onto the end of the file name.

   Illustrator version 27.8
   MacOS Ventura 13.5.2
   Macbook Pro 2023 Apple M2 Pro

10. Text to Vector prompt doesn't work

    When I write a prompt and hit 'generate', the bar loads as normal but then produces an error message saying, "Something went wrong, try again".
    This also doesn't work for the sample prompts provided by the program.

11. Glitchy Selection of simple rects, freezes, lags

    I haven't used Illustrator for some years.. you can check my previous posts with great ideas and upvoted.

    And now I just back to Illustrator, installed it trial on a fresh macOS MacBook and got this lags, video attached.
    I just created empty document, with a couple rects and when I try to select any it lags like a crazy, everything is jumps, freezes etc.

14. OBJECT > EXPAND creates SPIKES in geometry

    I use Illustrator to create emboss patterns for production tooling. When delivering my patterns, all geometry must be EXPANDED and represented as real vector lines so that the engravers can mill out the tool.

    Recently, when I EXPAND the patterns I make (OBJECT > EXPAND), I'm starting to see random SPIKES in my outlined strokes when using the EXPAND tool in the menu. This problem is reproducible on my machine, but it does appear to be random. Sometimes it does it, and sometimes it doesn't. My vector curve is stroked at 0.03 inches.

    This problem is causing CRITICAL delays in my workflow, as I have to find these tiny spikes in a file that's essentially 110'' x 70''. This has never been a problem until recently, so can only assume an algorithm change deployed in a recent version is causing this. Really need your help in addressing this!

15. Cut and paste doesn't paste to the selected object any more

    Tricky to describe but if I want to quickly get an item to the back of my object stack within a layer, I would normally "cut" with Ctrl-X, selected the background object (say a big rectangle of colour you're using as the bg) then hit "paste" with Ctrl V. It would then paste this object on top of the selected object and behind everything else...

    Now it just pastes on top of everything regardless of which object you have highlighted. Strangely, "paste in place" with Ctrl-F will place the object on top of the highlighted background object as I want it to. Ctrl V just pastes it on top of everything. I swear it didn't behave like this before and it's pretty frustrating.

16. All symbol instances reset after in-place editing the master instance

    Ai 2023 (27.7 it says in the info), MacBook Pro, MacOS Ventura (13.3.1 (a)). When I enter an in-place symbol editing mode, and, still in that mode, enter another in-place editing mode (so there are two nested symbol editing modes), and, delete some path in the nested symbol, all instances of that symbol get reset, and work (in our case a lot of work) is lost.
    When I first exit the initial symbol editing mode, and then enter the symbol editing mode for the other symbol (thus avoiding the nesting of editing modes), the instances don't reset.
    I didn't notice the instances got reset for a rather long time and had to manually fix things using a backup copy I luckily kept, but this is a really dangerous bug.

17. Demension Font size

    when i using the demension tool, the size of the number to small and then me change the size of demension number and it only work on one, so when i click orther demension number the number of font size has changed but the demension number is not

18. Text to vector jaggedy jagg

    So, I've been messing with text to vector, and tried implementing it to my workflow.
    When Illustrating sometimes am in need of an assets that create a look, so I tried prompting glasses and 9/10 am getting results that are to jaggy and not usable.. I ended drawing them at the end.
    I tried pushing slider to more/less details and did not got expected results

19. Page ruler covers contextual task bar

    The default position for Contextual Task Bar is on top left corner of the page and when the ruler is on top half of the bar is covered by ruler. The user must relocate the bar to use it properly...

20. Type on path tool bug

    After reopening an Illustrator document containing multiple circle paths with type on them the text is no longer on their paths but rather scattered all over and beyond the artboard. Please see the attachments.

    When you try to fix the scattered texts by clicking on the path with the type to path tool it will indicate the text was created in a different version of Illustrator (which is not the case) prompting you to click ok. This will have the text look as it should again. However if you then save and re-open the file the texts will be scattered again. So this clearly is not a solution to fix it temporarily.

    Pulling a previous version from our backup doesn't help either. The document will look good initially but even scrolling up or down in Illustrator will cause the scatter to appear (reopening it without saving will do the same).

    The opening poster experiences the same problem in a file containing multiple circle paths with type on them. So that seems to be a common ground.

    Our file has 20+ paths with text on them.

    If needed I can also supply the illustrator file.

    System used: Windows 11, Illustrator version: 27.7
