1. why did you just add 3 steps to a simple process

   changing line weight in illustrator was simple: you have a 1 point line, you click the down of the up and down arrows on the left. It changes to .75, then .5 etc. Easy.

   Now you click the down arrow on the left and it goes blank! So I click the only arrow on the right for the list of sizes (which is a down arrow for no apparent reason) and the list starts at 1 point so I have to scroll up to see the smaller sizes. then click the one I want. why? Why would the programmers of .ai change that simple 1 step process to a 4 step process? This may seem a minor thing but there are dozens of these minor things happening all the time! Every day it's something new that makes my work slower. A new box around groups that makes it harder to move that group. The tools suddenly are in different places. A placed photo can't be moved after you place it now the anchors don't deselect. My cursor flutters wildly between tools. these are just in the past few days and there is more. If I didn't know better I'd think adobe was just trying to drive me nuts! Who is responsible for these ridiculous changes in the interface? How can anyone get any work done when the program is in a constant state of chaos and random changing with no warning and no explanation. Can you explain this?

2. Divide tool Not removing underlying color

   A red box on top partially overlapping a yellow box. With both objects selected the Divide tool is used from the pathfinder. Where the two graphics intersect it leaves two layers of objects. The red on top and yellow underneath. Previous versions yellow would not be there. I have never seen this in the 20 years I have been working in Illustrator. Divide is powerful tool we used for both silkscreen and digital printing. Would appreciate a fix so it functions properly again.

3. SVG Filter exported wrong

   I have an svg filter applied to a simple path, which is applied correctly in illustrator, but when I export as an svg one feBlend item is missing.

4. Libraries panel not working in Beta 26.0 642 Mac

   Running MacOS beta 12.0 beta and the Libraries panel fails saying i need to install the latest version of CC Libraries. I have done that. Note the Libraries panel works fine in Photoshop Beta and all the other CC applications.

5. Problemas ao tentar duplicar um artboard

   Hoje comecei a ter problemas ao tentar duplicar um artboard no illustrator, arrastando junto a tecla ALT. O programa está atualizado e mesmo reiniciando-o, o erro permaneceu (imagem 1). Ao tentar copiar e colar, deu outro erro (imagem 2).

7. You removed the ability to paste text into the file name - this saved typing errors for complex names

   Forever we have been able to copy and paste in the name of the file into the file name.

   you removed that - its really bad - now it is another place errors occur.

   why remove something good?

8. Modifying stroke width of paths with mixed aspects totally erases their Appearance

   Illustrator 25.3.1 on MacOS Big Sur 11.4

   When I try to modify the stroke width of multiple paths that have mixed aspects, it totally erases their Appearance instead.

   In the attached video, I have 3 paths that are similar except for their stroke colour. When I try to change their width from 0,5mm to 1mm, their Appearance become "empty. :-(

9. Align with preview bounds doesn't work with transform effect copies

   I created a gear by creating a circle, then a box for one of the pieces. I created a point in the middle of the circle and grouped the box with that point. Then I used the transform effect on that group to create a circular array. Then I grouped that and added a pathfinder-Add effect to make it one piece, but still keep it nice and editable. Then I punched a hole in the middle by adding another circle, grouping it to that, and adding an effect, pathfinder-Subtract.
   I then added two lines of text as one object. Those, of course, don't align to anything useful unless you outline them, so I added an outline effect, again so that it's still editable.
   And of course you have to make sure you enable "use preview bounds" in the preferences, or none of this will work.

   In the attached file, I expanded the appearance of one of the gears (check with showing outline mode), and you can probably see why it's not working as it should. If you align the text to the gear of the outlined object, it's centered as expected, based on the bounding box of the text (not where I would Actually put it because inside of a round object it looks better to use a circular bounding box, then center it based on that. But there's no tool for that, and this still shows the issue)
   For the gear on the right that is build non-destructively, the text is using it's bounding box correctly, but it's not using the preview bounding box of the gear. It's using the bounding box of the original lines Only, even though there are more parts there. And it doesn't matter if you try and outline it either. It still doesn't work.

   I narrowed it down to the transform effect and copies. It works with just transform, but it doesn't work on any subsequent copies. But it Should work on the preview bounds of the shape. So this is a bug. Now whether it's a programmer error where they didn't understand the intent, or a software bug of a function, I don't know. But it's still a bug.

10. Small caps do not work for Libertinus font (open type font)

    The small caps feature does not work for the Libertinus Serif font (https://github.com/alerque/libertinus) in Illustrator. Only some of the letters get capitalized. It does, however, work with Libertinus Serif Display. (different variant of the same font family) This issue (from the font development page) contains more information: https://github.com/alerque/libertinus/issues/482
    Other programs like LibreOffice don't have this issue and render the small caps correctly, so it may be that there is an issue in Illustrator.

    To reproduce: just download and install the Libertinus font, create a new document, add some text, apply the Libertinus Serif font and activate small caps in the Character menu of Illustrator.

11. Stop "Get started with fun and interactive tutorials" permanently

    Every single time I open Illustrator I get accosted by the "Get started with fun and interactive tutorials" tooltip.

    There's two options on it:
    - "Remind Later", which temporarily hides the tooltip
    - "OK", which opens a tutorial panel and temporarily hides the tooltip

    There needs to be an option for "Never show this stupid thing again"

12. Problem with trasparency with 25.3.1 on 25.2.3 working correct

    When Save PDF with latest version of Illustrator we find problem with image trasparency. With 25.3.1 nothing problem (see file OK)

13. Placed image was resized automatically

    I had encounter the issue where the aspect ratio (heights and width) of the placed images .psd was changed when the same file was reopen.

    As attached, 1.png was the originally placed image size.
    After the file was closed and reopen, the aspect ration of the image changed as shown in 2.png

    Please note that the original image was not edited in any way.

14. Out of GPU memory issue

    Using JS to batch processing for hundreds of .ai files, Out of GPU memory warning popup. You can find the warning information in attachment.
    During batch processing, each loop will close the processed image by using document.close() function.

15. Colour values change on their own! Very frustrating

    Colours keep slightly changing over time, even as I am designing live inside a file!

    I will enter an exact CMYK or RGB value to match our brands colours, then these values will change slightly all on their own.

    I've been monitoring this for about 2 months now hoping this issue would be resolved in an update... but it hasnt been!

    This is a massive issue! Colours have to be stable!

    We need to be able to trust the program with things that are vital for a brand, like their COLOURS!

    The attached image shows -
    Top: is the original version of the design with correct colour values
    Bottom: shows the change in colour and colour values a few mins later (still live in file, no save/close)

    Please provide these settings to help the team to deal with the problem:

    1. The version of illustrator. OS and GPU model

    2. Your color settings (a screenshot of the Color Settings dialog will do)

    3. A test file with swatches which gets changed

    4. A copy of this file when changes happen (if there is a difference in actual numbers swatches store)

    Also, please check if the behaviour differs when you disable GPU mode and note that.

16. Stop rasterizing the gradient on an object when expanding its appearance

    When you expand the appearance of an object with a gradient, the gradient is rasterized, which I believe, defeats the purpose of using it considering the results. The resulting image has a lot of erroneous White specs. If there is a stroke aligned to the center, it creates two layers with the same gradient, which means you have to unite them with pathfinder. A layer that's shaped the same as the rasterized object with the gradient is the color gray.

    The workaround is to apply a solid color, then expand, then reapply the gradient, but it took me some time to realize that would solve the problem. It would be better for Illustrator to be more direct and simply not rasterize the gradient when expanding appearance.

18. Imported objects loosing color from brush and swatch

    objects imported into another illustrator file loose their colors in both preview and swatches. We build items we produce by bring in standard objects that represent items we use over and over. Since the upgrade to 25.3.1, when we import those objects, the color is removed, does not happen in 25.2.3.

19. Undo after unlocking a layer makes the saved file marked as unsaved

    If you open a file and make a change, the file name shows an asterisk in the document’s tab to indicate this. If you then immediately Undo the change, the asterisk disappears — makes sense, the file is back to its original state.

    But this doesn't work if you lock or unlock a layer and then Undo! The asterisk remains in place.

20. Save on your computer or to Creative Cloud Dialog

    When Preferences under User Interface -> UI Scaling is set to large then the "Save on your computer or to Creative Cloud" is cut off and input boxes are cut off. The sizing is not right.
