1. Now the Space Bar Doesn't Work for Text in Mac Sequoia

   Every time I launch AI on a Mac Sequoia OS, something in AI will not work right. This morning, the spacebar no longer adds space between words in text. What's so frustrating is you never know what shortcut/tool will fail when using Adobe products in Mac Sequoia OS. Please fix these problems. Thank you.

2. Selection incorrectly grabs bounding box

   In Illustrator 2024 and earlier, drawing a selection box would not grab bounding boxes. In AI 2025, if I draw a selection box that happens to cross a bounding box, it will select the object(s). Proper selection ignores bounding boxes, otherwise it becomes difficult to select without accidentally picking the wrong objects. I've deleted and lost artwork several times in the last week, due to selecting bounding boxes of circles that are off screen when I'm zoomed in.
   
   I cannot seem to find the switch to turn this off, and there is no mention of this in the new features/changes for 2025, so I can only assume this is a bug.

   Mac Sonoma 14.7
   Adobe Illustrator 2025 (29.0)

3. Outline Preview & CPU preview not working (cause canvas freezing)

   Selecting outline preiview, preview on CPU, overprint preview, & Pixel preview is not working. It will cause the artboard freezing unless I back to GPU preview.
   I have tried in illustrator 28, it is worked normally.

   Operating system:

   Ryzen 5 7535HS
   RTX 2060

5. Dimensions of this page are out of range

   The original file i used to make a back wall design has worked for years now and every time i update it, it still works. UNTIL NOW. The image REFUSES to save as a PDF or anything, as it says the dimensions of this page are out of range... EVERYTHING is within the canvas but still refuses to work. If it saves as a PNG, it cuts off part of the sides, EVEN if i shrink it down WAY smaller into the box, it STILL cuts off stuff in the PNGS. What is wrong????? AI its self keeps freezing... yes this is the updated version.
   I HAVE saved this before for this file and now it wont..

6. Cannot paste screenshot without error "Not enough memory to place the file"

   This started happening with the Illustrator 29, and I can confirm that I do not have this issue with the previous version of Illustrator. On Mac OS Sequoia 15.0.1. When I take a screenshot to my clipboard and attempt to paste in illustrator, I receive the error "Not enough memory to place the file." If I drag the same screenshot from the desktop, it places the link fine and can be embedded fine. Thanks.

7. Hidden objects wrongly get sent to back when duplicating artboards

   When I alt-drag to duplicate an artboard where I have hidden an object on the artboard, it moves the hidden object(s) to the back. The bug doesn't work if the hidden object is all the way in front.

   This is very frustrating, as I frequently hide objects and duplicate artboards, and it's causing everything to suddenly be out of order.

   To replicate problem

   1. create a few stacked shapes in an artboard
   2. hide one of the objects (not the top object)
   3. with the artboard tool, alt-drag to duplicate the whole artboard
   4. show all objects
   5. you will see that the formerly hidden object in the original artboard has now been moved behind everything, no longer in the place it once was.

   Windows 10 pro
   Illustrator 28.7.1

8. Text Not Displaying in Adobe Illustrator 28.6 (64-bit)

11. Illustrator crashes after adding 3D Materials from Adobe Substance. Deleting default materials leads to problems

    Since I downloaded 3D materials in the Adobe substance online application, and added them into Illustrator, the application crashes.
    I was able to reach the file (Illustrator Application > Show Package Contents > Contents > Resources > Material Resources > DefaultSubstanceMaterials.) But when I delete them, the textures no longer load, impossible to reboot, try other versions, uninstall-reinstall. It always appears like that, I don't know what to do anymore. Impossible to reuse the materials. If you have a solution, I'm interested. Thank for reading :)

13. Adobe help support pop up is so obstructive

    When using Adobe illustrator, the software crashes for a short amount of time and will redirect you in browser to the website of the learn and support of adobe. It makes the workflow slow, and its frustrating at the same time.

16. Outline View is not working in v29.0

    When I try to switch from GPU Preview to Outline View, the screen flickers and remains on GPU Preview. The name in the menu changes, but the screen doesn't.

17. Menu selection of window stuck after clicking on "Font" without selecting further option

    After selecting the menu item "window" → "Font" (without the sub-menu) the menu freezes. No further access to the program possible. After ending the program (OS - option, not program option) the window with the document disappeared (without asking for saving), the menu remained on screen (see screenshot). Only forced ending worked.

18. Intertwine unknots in places on Expand Appearance and PDF Asset Export

    In Illustrator 28.5 (macOS 14.5, intel)
    • Create intertwine from paths with 2 strokes (lower is black and greater weight)
    • Either use Object > Expand Appearance or use Asset Export to create PDF
    • Several crossings reverse on some Intertwine objects.

20. Distortions / pixelation when Space bar is held and mouse pointer moved

    When I press and hold space bar and move the mouse pointer to navigate the screen, the distortions / pixelation appear and make it it difficult to work. Please help. I tried reinstalling AI and ran windows update.
