1. Illustrator breaks lines of Latin area type text without hyphens at arbitrary positions

   It is truly a disaster. Working with packaging in different languages, I experience this problem very often. I am forced to format the text in indesign, convert it to paths and paste it into Illustrator...

   Here a sample file: it seems this issue affects especially Cyrillic, but only in certain fonts.
   Indesign handles it correctly.
   To avoid this, I've made a script that assign the "no break" attribute to every word in a selected paragraph.

   The font team informs, the font used is a Japanese font, developed by Coji Morishita. Even though it has Latin and Cyrillic glyphs in it, it’s displayed in the Japanese section in the font list, and has a preview rendered in Japanese (when no text is selected and 'Show Font Names in English' is disabled in Preferences > Type.

   CJK fonts, such as this one, allow to break one character per word, and this extends to Cyrillic glyphs these might have, even with the correct language is picked in Character panel.

   The team is considering to treat Cyrillic like non-CJK when the CJK font's Cyrillic is not full-width, but currently sees it as a narrow case.

2. Renamed asset does not change link name in the cloud link

   I dragged objects into the Library window to create a graphic asset in Illustrator and it's given a default name of "Artwork 1". I then renamed the file to "rename-test" and then dragged it into both an InDesign file and a blank illustrator file, and I noticed that the listed name says "rename-test" in the Libraries window in both apps, but the actual link name is still listed as "Artwork 1.ai". Why doesn't it show up as "rename-test.ai" in the Link window?

4. Issue while saving a file in Adobe Illustrator 2025

   I’m facing an issue while trying to save my Adobe Illustrator design file on my Mac. I can work normally, but when I try to save the file, I’m unable to rename it. The save screen freezes, and the “Save” button becomes unresponsive. The only button I can click is “Cancel.”

5. Dimension tool prefers to snap to or edit an existing dimension instead of starting or completing a new one

   Take a look at the GIF.
   I need to measure the width of one square, and then measure the overall width of both squares.

   I create the first dimension with no problem.
   However, when I try to create the second one, Ai plays dumb.

   When I click the leftmost point, the tool thinks that I am to EDIT the existing dimension (although I am clicking and not click-and-dragging, and I am clicking an endpoint of it, and not in the middle!)

   Well... I can lock the first dimension (which would require me to abort, select the first one, lock, and try again).
   Instead, I try to start from the rightmost point and click the leftmost one then.

   ...but Ai now plays even dumber, it doesn’t allow me to FINISH my dimension! It SELECT the existing one instead, although I am in THE MIDDLE of CREATING a new one!

   OK, I trick it and snap to the point at the bottom — but then I get a skewed dimension instead of a parallel line, and there is no Shift I can quickly tap to force it to be orthogonal, and now I have to draaaag over to the right to make it behave — which is a separate request I made here:

   'Sure', you might say, 'it’s your own fault, you made the offset for extension line to be zero!'
   Yes, I did. I need it to be zero. Our standards require it. And yours seemingly permits selecting other objects while in the middle of creating operations....

6. SVG Export

   In der Version 28.4.1 entstehen beim "Speichern unter.." als SVG Datei zerstörte Vektoren. In der Version 27.9.3 ist das nicht der Fall. Habe die SVG Datei als AI abgespeichert, weil SVG als Dateiendung nicht unterstützt wird.

8. Not Responding Issues

   What is wrong with Illustrator today? As I am working on an infographic, every time I do something the program with stop responding/"not responding" for 3-10 seconds. It is extremely difficult to work like this.

9. Open in Illustrator Desktop in Fresco not working

   I am in Fresco, click "Publish & Export" and "Open a Copy" in Desktop Illustrator. 9 out of 10 times nothing happens.

10. Global Edit not working correctly

    I use Global Edit to count objects. It often says "Global Edit is currently not supported for more than 1000 highlighted objects." I know that there are a lot less than 1000 objects that I am trying to highlight.

11. Clipping Path Dimensions disregarded when exporting JPG in version 28.5

    When using "File -> Export As" to create a JPG of your illustrator document, the size of the JPG includes artwork hidden by a clipping path and adds white space. Attached is an example where I've exported a JPG from versions 28.4.1 and 28.5. The JPG from version 28.5 added additional white space to the left, right, and top edges where artwork was hidden by a clipping path. This is not how Illustrator behaved previously. Is there a workaround?

    This is a bug similar to that one:

    Both are fixed in the latest Beta build and are expected to be pushed into 28.6 GA build.

12. ADOBE: FOR GOD'S SAKE WILL YOU TRANSFER CUSTOM SETTINGS AFTER AN UPDATE ALREADY

    Copy <Old Custom Workspace AND Keyboard Settings> to <New Version>

    Okay? It can't be that friggin' complicated. I'm trying to write a PowerShell VBA to do it, and I'm not a coder.

    I AM SICK AND TIRED OF HAVING TO MANUALLY GO IN AND TRY AND FIGURE OUT WHERE ALL MY CUSTOM SETTINGS ARE LOCATED AND THEN MANUALLY COPYING THEM TO THE UPDATED FOLDER.

    This might be too much for UX, but golly gee gosheroonies, why don't you create a folder called "Workspaces (Modified)" and have ALL custom settings stored in it, Workspaces, Keyboards, Menus, Toolbars.

    Oh wait, there IS such a folder, but custom settings are stored in there, in no subfolder at all, in various other subfolders.

    How about being consistent ? Even better, how about putting custom settings in a folder with the same name in the same location under ALL the Creative Cloud apps???????

    ADOBE IT IS 2024.

13. データのクラッシュ

    作業をしていると突然ソフトが落ちます。ほぼ毎日クラッシュが発生している状況で、こまめに保存して対応しております。
    復元を行なってもほとんど復元されないため全く作業が進みません。macのデータ容量に関しても全く問題はなく、イラストレーターで開いているファイルが１つの時でもクラッシュが発生します。作業中において特定のアクションでクラッシュするわけではなく様々な場面で急に落ちます。
    原因がわからないため非常に困っています。

15. Blob brush not reverting from Brush using keyboard shortcut

    When switching between custom keyboard shortcuts from the Brush to the Blob Brush, the shape stays the same and doesn't respond to tablet pen pressure sensitivity.

17. 塗りつぶしまたは調節レイヤーについて

    調べてみると、レイヤーの下側に表示されるとのことですが見当たりません。他の場所に表示されるのであればその場所を知りたいです。尚、現在Windowsを使用しており【パネルオプション】の”レイヤーのみを表示”のチェックは外れています。

18. Flickering colors and images when moving mouse while in GPU mode

    The screen flickers when you move the cursor (it sucks!).

    When you switch to CPU it stops, but you lose the animated zoom which is a nice feature.

19. カラーウィンドウの改善

    以前からカラーの数値入力はTabキーを使用して移動していました。
    2024年版は#が追加され、そこから更にTabキーを押すと上に移動せず全てのタブが閉じてしまいます。
    タブを閉じずに上の入力に戻るよう改善をお願いいたします。

20. Copy paste breaks up text frames

    When I copy paste text frames in Illustrator 28.5 they end up broken up in individual letters. This is due to interference with the clipboard manager of LaunchBar and is a regression — the previous version of Illustrator did not have this issue but I've experienced problems with LaunchBar and Adobe applications in the past.
