  1. Pantone + color book will not consistently "sort by name"

    I keep the Pantone+ Solid Coated book open always, but every time I reopen the program it reverts back to "sort by kind" instead of the "sort by name" I keep choosing and is my preference.

  2. Cannot scale item directly after placing...

    When I place either a file or library item by dragging onto the artboard, I cannot scale that item (via double-click on scale tool). It does not apply the transformation. I have to repeat the transformation in order to get it to apply. This does not happen however if I place an item through the file menu. See attached video.

  3. Workspace Bug

    Have a strange bug. Have Dual Cinema displays with all of my palettes on one monitor. Saved workspace for this configuration. If I click to toggle between fill/stroke it resets my workspace and moves all of my palettes over to my first monitor but only in the bottom right 1/4 of the screen. If i hit "x' to toggle between fill/stroke this doesn't happen.

  5. Illustrator 23.0.1 Selection Tool/dragging text box keeps unselecting by itself?

    Keeps deselecting by itself when i try to grab objects and drag. When I press Shift and drag, it duplicates the text box and suddenly deselects itself?? anyone having this issue?

  6. Link option in inactive in the Place dialog, even after a name is pasted from clipboard

    I am working on a huge document with hundreds of linked images. All files are now changed due to company policy. So I need to relink a bunch of files. This is not possible automatically so I believed I found a solution. But the shortcut was devastating. If i choose say 10 links which have the same name, lets call them Image1 but now the name should be Image01. Same image is in other words used in several places in same file. I marked the links and chose Relink. So far so good.

  7. Adobe Illustrator 23.0.1 does not open files while running.

    The Issue:

    Adobe Illustrator won't open files ( .ai .eps , etc ) when Illustrator is running.
    Won't open files from Bridge, or explorer by double clicking or right click-> open with.
    Won't open files that are downloaded, by clicking on them,
    Won't open files from Internet Explorer with option: Open

    Illustrator Does open files when the program is not running.

    I did not install any additional plugins.

    Adobe Illustrator version:
    CC 23.0.1 ( Windows)

    Creative Cloud App Version:
    4.7.0.400

    i've checked files association in Win10, and in Adobe Bridge, reinstalled the app, updated, resetarted my computer.

  8. Gradient panel - Angle tab flashing and temporarily freezing program

    This is a new problem today - I have restarted Adobe and my mac and no fix.

    Summary -

    I have my panels displayed on my UI - The gradient angle tab (even when no gradient is applied) begins to flash repeatedly and quickly - This causes the program to freeze for the second it is flashing.

    Further, once it has completed flashing it changes my tool randomly - I have had it change from move to artboard, from shape to pen, it seems random. Also the I have tried a different keyboard so it is not a bug in…

  9. Changing leading up and down in Character panel makes it 1 or 1295 pt

    When the leading is set to (Auto), using the up/down arrow UI buttons in the character palette to change the leading results in weird leading sizes. Toggling up from Auto using the up arrow in the UI produces a leading of 1 pt. Toggling down from Auto produces a leading of 1295 pts!

  10. font finder/Missing font box keeps loading and unable to activate missing fonts

    Find Font box not working. Example i am missing fonts and when i open that menu it shows the fonts used in the document but the missing ones just have a loading circle next to it and it never stops.

    Also the Missing font box. When i do have the fonts and want to Activate them they will never activate, It just loads for 10mins and stops with out loading the fonts.

    Hi All,

    We are not able to reproduce this issue at our end. Can you please let us know if you are still facing this issue? Also, is the Creative Cloud running fine on your machine when this issue happens?

  11. Uneven stroke

    Newest version of Illustrator has now changed my .001 cut size of a stroke in some places from a clean thin line to a jagged mess. Some of the former .001 lines are still unchanged? These are shared with clients and look horrible!
    Running on Windows 10.

  12. Zoomed in Home Screen? Why

    The home screen in my Adobe Illustrator is 'zoomed-in' and it's not the same size as other Adobe apps. I've attached a screen shot of Illustrator vs photoshop.

  13. Unable to save to Illustrator 8 legacy format

    Illustrator 23.0.1 (64-bit)
    Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64

    File saved as Illustrator 8 cannot be reopened by Illustrator CC 2019 or earlier versions.

    Create simple file (can be blank, but this doesn't show the full problem.
    Save as Illustrator 8 format.
    Attempt to ope.
    Error message (see screenshot) is displayed.
    Click OK.
    File then opens, but has no content.

  14. Adjustment of a gradient in Live Paint Bucket (K)

    In Illustrator CC2019 the Adjustment of a gradient in Live Painting Bucket (K) does not work.
    When in Live Painting Bucket (K) i apply the gradient, then i can not adjust it manually.

    Hi Everyone,

    The fix has been rolled out and is available in our latest release build – 29.3.0 which is available worldwide now.

    Illustrator will now allows to change gradients of the Live Paint selections, using Gradient tool.

    The annotator won’t show up when you do this, but you will see the changes immediately if you have GPU Preview and Real-Time Drawing and Editing options enabled in Preferences.

  16. Illustrator wont show correct color of png imported

    Since I have updated to the newest version I can't seem to upload pngs into Illustrator. They show as if they are negative. I run on a MacBook Pro Mac OS Mojave Version 10.14.1. Illustrator 23.0.1

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.3.1 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  17. Randomly deletes recent changes.

    Latest version is extremely buggy. Randomly jumps back two steps in the undo queue, erasing entirely all work. Redo does not work.

  18. Opening Illustrator files brings up the Text import options box and then a blank file after updating to the current version?

    I cannot open any existing Illustrator files without the Text import options box (As shown in the screen shot) opening. If I click cancel the box goes but the file doesn't open. If I click ok it opens a blank file but with the correct file name.

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled three times and the same happens every time? Please help!

  20. attributes note window loses keyboard focus

    os x high sierra
    illustrator 2017-2019

    when entering a note in the attribute panel, the window loses focus and instead of typing the note illustrator execute keyboard commands.

    example:
    I select an object.
    Type in a note in the note window
    it works

    select a different object.
    place cursor in the note window. the cursor blinks as it's ready for typing
    start typing but nothing happens in the window, instead keyboard presses execute whatever shortcuts are pressed

    workaround.
    select object
    hide attribute tab
    reopen attribute tab
    notes work again.

    but then select a new object and notes stops working.
