    When i open a art file the screen is black and the art work is locked?!

  2. Batch exporting ai>psd does not work in latest Illustrator update.

    Batch exporting does not work in latest update. The images appear to process, and as each image is processed, there is a message that a photoshop file is being created. However, the end result files are the same ai files that I began with. Using Mac OS 10.14.

  3. Gradient mesh points and handles dissapearing

    Illustrator 23.0.1 Windows 10

    Points and handles of gradient meshes sometimes disappear if i draw a another object, like a rectangle, near or over them.

    Points stay selectable but are not highlighted. If I move them with the Keyboard, they reappear!

  4. When I export as png, application crashes

    Adobe version: 22.1, OS: Windows 10 (the adobe application is on a virtual desktop for security reasons.)

    From the last 2 weeks, I have not been able to export to png. This was never an issue until recently. I get a prompt for export for multiple screens. I've tried exporting it in multiple dpi (72, 192, and 300). This also crashes. I've tried choosing a single asset and exporting selection. This also results in a crash.

    Please help me find a solution.

  5. Pantone + color book will not consistently "sort by name"

    I keep the Pantone+ Solid Coated book open always, but every time I reopen the program it reverts back to "sort by kind" instead of the "sort by name" I keep choosing and is my preference.

  6. Illustrator 23.0.1 Selection Tool/dragging text box keeps unselecting by itself?

    Keeps deselecting by itself when i try to grab objects and drag. When I press Shift and drag, it duplicates the text box and suddenly deselects itself?? anyone having this issue?

  7. Adobe Illustrator 23.0.1 does not open files while running.

    The Issue:

    Adobe Illustrator won't open files ( .ai .eps , etc ) when Illustrator is running.
    Won't open files from Bridge, or explorer by double clicking or right click-> open with.
    Won't open files that are downloaded, by clicking on them,
    Won't open files from Internet Explorer with option: Open

    Illustrator Does open files when the program is not running.

    I did not install any additional plugins.

    Adobe Illustrator version:
    CC 23.0.1 ( Windows)

    Creative Cloud App Version:
    4.7.0.400

    i've checked files association in Win10, and in Adobe Bridge, reinstalled the app, updated, resetarted my computer.

  8. Leading bug (Character panel)

    There seems to be a leading bug in the latest version. The leading automatically created is usually too spaced vertically, or creating a text area creates pseudo-Latin lines of text that are on top of each other.

  9. 3d extrude and bevel problem

    I am using windows 10 and Illustrator wont do a 3d extrude or bevel and says not enough memory when there us enough memory.

  10. Distort objects using an envelope does not work

    Working on iMac with Ai 2019.
    The Envelope Distort tool gives this message:
    The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error.
    Will not even work on a simple rectangle, or by selecting two simple rectangles.

    23.0.1 Windows 10: Marquee selecting inside rectangle with no fill selects that rectangle. Clicking inside a rectangle with no fill behaves as expected, it will only select the rectangle if it has fill

  12. objects behind clipping mask cannot move outside of drawing area!!??

    What is the point in a clipping mask if the objects behind it cannot fall off the drawing area? may as well use Microsoft paint to be honest

  13. Illustrator issues, SVG only?

    When using CC (updated to v. 23), illustrations appear distorted when rendered with stylesheet. During troubleshooting, I open a colleague's SVG illustration in CS6 as well as CC v.23 and compare. See attachments. CC distorts both content size and artboard size. We never had this issue with CS.

  14. command+option+shift to duplicate an element crash Illustrator every time

    Illustrator CC 23.0.1 R3 crash every time I use the combination of "command+option+shift" to duplicate an element :/

    Mojave 10.14.1 (18B75)
    Illustrator CC 23.01 R3
    MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017) with 3,1 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory : 16 Go 2133 MHz LPDDR3

  15. No Rectangle Shape in toolbar

    hi there, today the CC installed advised me to install a new version of Illustrator. Install went smoothly, but I noticed when I opened Illustrator that the shape tool that lets me draw a rectangle is missing. The rectangle with radial corners is there; so I can make one and set the corner rounding to 0; but it isn't as fast and convenient as just drawing a rectangle with sharp corners directly. Is this a new feature? Or is this a bug? (I'm hoping it is a bug)

  17. Problems with 2019 Adobe CC Illustrator when upgrading to the Mojave OS system

    I had difficulty closing the window that jumped around a lot plus the Illustrator program often closed unexpectedly. The Illustrator document I worked on often would freeze, making it impossible to change or update it.
    The Adobe tech. downgraded my Illustrator CC program to 2018 it works once again. Please let me know when the 2019 bug is gone. Thanks

  18. Changed placed item outside of illustrator does not mark the AI Document as changed...

    If I have an illustrator document open that has a linked placed item within it, and the document has just been save, and I modify and save the placed item outside of illustrator - AI prompts me that the item has changed and asks if I was to update the placed artwork. If I select YES, the artwork is updated but the AI document is not internally marked as changed - e.g. I can close the file and it will not prompt me to save.

  20. Stroke not updated when using arrow keys

    An object's stroke is not updated when using the arrow keys to increase or decrease stroke size. Then selecting another object without pressing enter or removing focus from the input box applies the stroke to the new selection.

    Steps:
    1. Create 2 shapes
    2. Select first shape
    3. Adjust stroke with arrow keys in the properties panel - shape on artboard doesn't update
    4. Select second shape - stroke that was supposed to be applied to first shape is applied to second shape
