Freeform gradient fill disappears on select all action
- OS: Windows Version: 10.0 System Architecture: x64 Illustrator v 23.0.6 (64-bit)
- I used a freeform gradient fill to fill a path and upon doing a select all to group a few different paths and shapes for easier movement or duplication, the fill of the path disappears and I need to either rebuilt the gradient or re-load the file as even doing CTRL+Z doesn't bring back the gradient
- The expected result is that the gradient remains as it was when doing a select all (Either through CTRL+A or using the Selection Tool)
- The Fill for the path disappears and the freeform…

Can't find the basic pantone colors
I can't find certain Pantone colors in the swatch library anymore. For example Pantone 871 C (standard gold color) i can find in the 2019 by just typing it in the search bar, but in the 2020 version it doesn't recognise it... even if i import another swatch library it doesn't show it at all, but i'm certain it's in there.

RGB black from Indesign translates to CMYK black in Illustrator upon Copy + Paste
This is a bug and not an idea:
What I copy RGB black (0,0,0) vector artwork from Indesign to paste into Illustrator, the artwork always pastes in with a value equivalent to CMYK black (0,0,0,100). The copy/pasting is happening from one RGB document to another ("Web" document in Indesign / "RGB" document setup in Illustrator).
Please fix!

After updateing to Adobe Illustrator 2020 the program chrashes after some hours running.
I am working on a PC with the Adobe illustartor 2020 (24.0.1)
The program keeps chrashing now and then. I have not yet seen a a pattern but the last time it happened I was changing colour of an outlined pattern.2 votes -
White is now yellow
All my colors with todays 10/16/18 update have shifted and have lost their embedded color file. (When opening previous work). My white swatch is yellow. But when placed in Indesign it is white as well well as the color makeup 0000. Hiw can i fix this?

Black Swatch becomes CMYK when dragged to object
Black Swatch in color pallette (between none and white lower left corner) colour changes values to CMYK when dragged to object on page.

White
In. my company we can print the color White as a spot color. Our printer reacts on the name of the color "White".
Until a while ago it was no problem to add a White color swatch to Illustrator.
Now I get an error (see image).I don't know why it worked before and doesn't anymore.
May be it's possible to make Illustrator work like Indesign and change the name of the original white-swatch to Paper?

No search bar in Pantone swatch color books
When I go to search for Pantone colors, or and other colors, there is no search bar at the top of the swatch tool window
1 voteYou can have this field shown with Show Find Field option in a panel flyout menu. This works for Swatches and Pantone libraries and any other swatches library.

Impossible to apply graphic style to text background by moment
I use lot of graphic style in my work, and I've to use it on text bloc (to create map mind per example)
But sometimes, the style (or the color directly) doesn't work on the background (selected with the white arrow). The color appears in the properties but nothing happen… I have to create a new bloc and It works normally (or not sometimes)… I really think it's a bug it will be very nice to correct it because I often use this trick in my work!
I use 24.0.2 on mac OSX Mojave

Swatches not naming properly vs document color mode
I create my document in CMYK but when I open my swatches the first time (I have done no copying or pasting into the document or anything to mess with any color settings), they are CMYK blends with RGB names. Why is it doing that and what can I do to fix it?

Unable to apply gradient on Rectangle Box
Hi,
I am unable to apply a gradient color for my rectangle box when I use the Fill tool, I tried changing to a solid color to see if the problem lies with only the gradient, but i isn't setting a color at all.Could you please solve this bug issue as soon as possible as I am using Illustrator 2020.

Eyedropper doesn't work on groups
When I select a group and I try to use the eyedropper tool, this seems to not work.
In the fill box in the toolbar it appears as the colour already changed, but the group still looks with the original colour.
If I ungroup the group, or if I unite the group with the pathfinder (plus cmd+8), then the eyedropper works regularly, but this is not the ideal way to work. I already contacted the support online, but the issue hasn't been sorted out properly.I use MacOS High Sierra — Version 10.13.6

Overprint attribute does not work adequately
Create or select any object. On the Attributes panel set Overprint Fill/Stroke checkmark.
After deselecting object Overprint attribute remains CHECKED instead of resetting. And every newly created object instantly receive this Overprint attribute!Very annoying and sometimes cause real troubles with undesired overprinted objects.
Overprint attribute should reset to UNCHECKED after deselecting an object.

Gradient stays selected when trying to pick a solid colour
After upgrading to v23, it's become very difficult to switch from having a gradient selected and to having a solid colour.

Recolor artwork doesn't work
To recolour an image from 16 to 5 colors (or other amount) doesn't work. It only makes the image appear lighter but it is still 16 colours.

Spot color names are incorrect in other applications
I'm using Illustrator 2020 (24.0.1) on macOS Mojave (10.14.6) in Japanese.
Opened an Illustrator 2020 file containing spot colors with Japanese names in Acrobat or place it to InDesign, the names are not as expected.
I can use English names for the new ones, but changing InDesign ink settings in all existing files can be difficult.

Non Functional Gradient stop bug in 'Color' panel
When adjusting a colour stop its colour is visible in the 'Color' panel's 'Fill' field. You used to be able to cancel the stop colour by clicking on this 'Fill' field to go back to the gradient fill and to get the 'Stroke' colour back in sight.
This is no longer the case. In spite of Illustrator flashing the tool tip 'Click to cancel' clicking does not work at all. The fill colour is stuck on the 'Colour Stop's colour.
Now you can only see the 'Stroke' field in the 'Gradient' panel and the 'Tools' panel. This is a pain…54 votesCompleted (Comments Open) ·

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

eyedropper tool doens't pick up properties
The eyedropper tool used to be able to pick up properties from one vector to another. for example when there is a vector shape with a border and a gradient and what to copy the same properties (same border and gradient) on to a different vector shape. Tried using shift, or double clicking on the eyedropper tool to look at the eyedropper options.
