1. swatch panel missing

   The swatch panel is completely missing all of the sudden. This is a PERTINENT feature for me and needs to be fixed ASAP.

2. Editing pattern or symbol changes selected layer

   Upon exiting edit mode for symbols or patterns the selected layer will change to the top-most layer. It should remember the selected layer prior to entering edit mode and maintain that.

3. Fehlendes abspeicher neuer farbfelder

   Kann keine neuen Farbfelder abspeichern, geschweige denn sie in der Bibliothek unterzubringen, noch die Standardfarben zu löschen… Wäre schön wenn man das über ein plussymbol hinbekommen könnte… plus neuen Farbenamen als Kategorie in die man die neuen Farbfelder speichern kann und beim antippen der Kategorie die Möglichkeit in Bibliothek zu speichern…

4. Cannot modify Fill and Stroke color of objects

   Sometimes when the object is selected (think it is the select tool activated by A) I cannot modify the color of the stroke or fill. The popup menu that I usually use for this does not work.

5. Recolor - Color Theme Picker don’t work

   The Theme Color Picker doesn’t work when...
   In a document with artworks and images,

   1. Select artworks and click the Recolor icon, then go to Advanced Option.
   2. Enable [Open Advance Recolor Artwork dialog on launch]
   3. Quit Illustrator
   4. Open Illustrator
   5. Select artworks
   6. Click the Recolor icon in Control Panel
   7. Disable [Open Advance Recolor Artwork dialog on launch]
   8. Close the Recolor Windows
   9. With the Artworks still selected
   10. Click the Recolor icon in Control Panel again
   11. Click the Color Theme Picker
   12. Click on an image in the document

   Results: Nothing!

   To make it works again, we need to close the illustrator application and reopen it.

   This is in 2021 and also 2022.

6. Spot colour on non-print layer will appear in separations as CMYK

   1. Setup a spot colour

   2. Apply it to any object

   3. Set your layer to no printing

   4. Check the separations

   It shows the spot colour as CMYK.

   Until you set the layer to Print again.

7. The name "Black" is automatically blocked when creating global swatches

   If you create a new global color swatch, regardless of the breakdown, the name "Black" is automatically blocked. The name "White" is not.

   It seems silly to call this issue out, but I've prepared logo libraries for eight and a half years now, and this has been an ongoing consideration. When I create a black swatch, there is always an extra step. Sometimes I intentionally misspell the name to create the swatch, or I create a non-global swatch with the correct name, but in both scenarios I have to adjust the swatch AFTER it is created to produce a black global swatch with the name "Black." The same extra step is not required for a white global swatch with the name "White."

   A comparison of my workflow below—

   Black Global Swatch:
   1. Remove all swatches from the file
   2. In the Color palette, click the 'Black' color shortcut
   3. In the Swatches palette, either click the 'New Swatch' shortcut at the bottom or select "New Swatch..." from the menu
   4. In the New Swatch dialog box, change the default name (depending on color mode, either "R=0 G=0 B=0" or "C=0 M=0 Y=0 K=100") to "Black"
   5. Check the 'Global' checkbox
   6. Select "OK"
   7. No swatch appears in the Swatches palette

   White Global Swatch:
   1. Remove all swatches from the file
   2. In the Color palette, click the 'White' color shortcut
   3. In the Swatches palette, either click the 'New Swatch' shortcut at the bottom or select "New Swatch..." from the menu
   4. In the New Swatch dialog box, change the default name (depending on color mode, either "R=255 G=255 B=255" or "C=0 M=0 Y=0 K=0") to "White"

8. CMYK Files Colors are Displaying as RGB in Illustrator 2022 Version 26.0.1

   (Illustrator 2022) Open a new CMYK file, create a box, color Breakdown "87-75-0-0 "select the same CMYK color Breakdown "87-75-0-0 " (In Color Picker) that is clearly showing a darker color then what is behind the open select box.

   If this happens for you, make sure you have the same color settings setup in both versions (Edit > Color Settings).

9. Color discripancy between "View on CPU" and "View on GPU" on a Mac with M1 chip

   I'm now running AI on a macbook pro with M1 chip.
   I noticed that when I switching "View on CPU" to "GPU", all colors became whiter and inaccurate (images inserted in AI became much whiter than the objects created and colored in AI).
   I've checked my older Macbook pro with intel CPU and AMD graphic card, the colors keep the same and accurate when I switch from CPU to GPU.

10. Color guide issue/bug

    When I click on color in "color guide" it doesn't work. So shape has (let's say) "old" color. I can click on "new" color 10 times and nothing happen. Some colors works, some colors doesn't response.
    PLEASE FIX.

11. Spot Colors in Linked or Embedded Images can be Renamed in Swatches Palette, breaking functionality

    Double clicking a spot swatch in the Swatches Palette allows you to rename the swatch. In past versions, Illustrator would not allow you to rename the spot swatch if it was used in a linked or embedded image. Now the spot swatch can be renamed whether or not it is used in an image. There is no warning that the spot being renamed is in use. After renaming the spot swatch, the Swatches Palette does not show the spot actually used in the image. Changing the color values of the spot swatch before renaming changes the appearance of the image, but it does not after renaming. After saving and reopening the file, both the original spot(used in the image) and the renamed spot swatch will be visible in the Swatches Palette.

    I've observed this behavior in the following installs:
    MacOS 11.5.2, Illustrator versions 25.3.1 & 25.4.1
    Windows 10, Illustrator version 25.2.1

    It is important that the Swatches Palette correctly reports the spot colors used in images. The renaming of a spot swatch used in an image breaks at least one of the save scripts we use in production. It also causes an error upon saving on machines with Esko plug-ins installed.

12. Dragging a gradient slider stop changes the opacity of other stops on the slider

    Hi all.
    Since I was asked by one of the Adobe employees, here's my post.
    Windows 10.

    I am getting seriously miffed. After using Illustrator ever since the nineties I can no longer do what I need so, so often: duplicating a color stop in a gradient while keeping the other stops as they are.

    Say I have the following:

    Stop 1 - position 0 - Opacity 0
    Stop 2 - position 25 - Opacity 100
    Stop 3 - position 75 - Opacity 100
    Stop 5 - position 100 - Opacity 0

    I need a zero opacity stop on position 50 and 'Alt-drag' the stop on either 0 or 100 to position 50 to copy it.
    This always worked, but no more.
    Instead, in the latest version it removes the opacity values from every stop it passes.

    If I 'Alt-drag' an opaque stop the same happens, all stops that used to be transparent are now fully opaque.
    It sometimes even affects stops in the vicinity, sigh.

    I can't work like this. I mean, I know workarounds, but I simply want to get on and work normally (fast). Can we hope for a speedy fix?

13. Pantone swatches being deleted even after adding them to the correct folder

    Our graphic users need to use additional Pantones in Adobe illustrator. In order to do that, they copy some Pantone files to the AI's Pantones folder on the local machine. When they open AI, they can see and use the Pantone. The problem is, that after they close the AI application, it the Pantone files being deleted automatically from the AI's pantone folder. Therefore, they copy the Pantones to the AI's folder each time they need to use it, which is very discouraging.

14. copy and paste random color change

    1.macbook pro 2021, big sur 11.4
    2. version 25.3.1

    within the same file, when I copy and paste an element, the fill is changing. the same issue does not occur when option dragging the drawing. it happens repeatedly. The fill that is changing is a colored pattern fill. It has happened with all "original" colorations (ie it does not only happen when using the light blue fill like in the movie. but they all change to the same yellow fill like in the movie.)

16. Tilde key to move a pattern within shape not working

    My Tilde/Graves accent key is no longer working to transform a pattern within an object. Normally, I can rotate or move around a pattern when I hold it down without moving the object. It hasn't worked since my last update.

17. Color changed automatically

    Posts screenshots of saved files every 3 days. It is a clipboard without any additional work. The color automatically darkens slightly. An ever-increasing problem is causing major problems with our schedules. Please come up with a way to solve it.

18. Color Theme Picker works with problems

    After the Adobe Illustrator update (don't know if it was the last one in April 2021 or the previous one) Color Theme Picker in a new version of the Recolor Artwork tool stops working. Not only in my app but in the apps of at least 3 people - different OS, different computers. It just doesn't activate then you click the icon.

    The solution was found but it was very strange - you need to open Adobe Illustrator not directly on your computer but through the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app. Then Color Theme Picker starts working. And continues to work if you reopen the app directly.

    We've found this solution by chance, 3 people tried to do this and this fixed the issue. But maybe something can be done from the side of developers to avoid such problems in the future.

20. Blue is now purple

    When selecting a vibrant blue with the color-picker it shows it correctly and when it is applied it looks purple. (the color's HEX is correct though)

    This also happens when I drag&drop an image that has vibrant blue colors in it.

    Any ideas why this is happening?
