Font drop down doesn't work on CS6 all of the sudden
I have Windows 10 and Illustrator CS6. Worked great until a couple weeks back.
The font drop down does not work at all. Not in character map, not in type>fonts.
I unisntalled Illustrator CS6, Re-downloaded the file from Adobe, re-installed. nothing
I uninstalled windows 10 updates for 2 months... nothing...

Font drop down not showing
My font list has started to not show. Im not sure what is causing it as it was ok then suddenly it stopped showing. Please see the attached file for more.

Most of the fonts cannot show and load in the list of AI CS6
Most of the fonts cannot show and load in the list of AI CS6 suddenly today. The down arrow button (red circle in the attached picture) of the font list is not working (no response), but I can still choose other fonts by clicking up/down keyboard arrow to choose around 10 fonts (my computer installs over than hundreds fonts!).
Also, all fonts are still working in Photoshop and MS Office. Can anyone help on this? Thanks!4 votes -
Regional - Indian Font Issues
Google Fonts that work for hindi and other regional languages seem to get messed up when used in illustrator. Please help urgent. Tried Noto Sans, Sarala font..

Major Type issues
Having major dramas with type. I cannot select any existing type in any file. I cannot add any type either. On the rare occasion that any cursor may appear, it is so tiny as to be impossible to see anything. On typing, no text appears at all.

Illustrator CC2018 request font
1 - OSX High Sierra - 2.8 GHz Intel Core i5
2 - Starting Illustartor it request to download some font (see attached file)
3 - Tryed to download and Illustrator run correctly, but when I restart computer the messare is the same.
I alsto tryed to re-install Illustrator but the bug stay

Strokes seem to be misaligned when working on live small text and cannot be placed into photoshop correctly to apply FX. Adobe CC

Bengali Dari Line Break Issue
The Indic 'dari' (U+0964, "।") reflows to the next line in Bengali, but it should behave like a period and not be allowed to start a line, especially if not preceded by a space. I am using v22.0.1 x64 on Windows 10. I have attached a file to show what I mean.

All Typekit fonts unavailable
All of a sudden Typekit stopped working through Illustrator/Photoshop. I cannot open the CC app on my desktop either. I cannot uninstall it nor reinstall it as none of these functions will work. I am effectively frozen out of my desktop CC app and typekit. When I access Typekit via the webpage it shows my snyced fonts but I cannot access them on my desktop (PC). Restart every 1 min to fix a bug – Illustrator Font Panel Bug
Adobe Illustrator always show the default font Myriad Pro no matter which typeface/font you are using. Also Fonts and weights that you are using disappear from the dropdown of the font.
The only way of fixing it is to restart illustrator every 1 min.

Variable font remains static
I've been working on various variable fonts, which, while there are sometimes are some GPU rendering issues in Illustrator, work as expected.
However, my last creation remains static while changing the variable (see example). The font variation works perfectly in online environments, it's only in Adobe apps that this seems to be an issue.

Gradient stroke & fill can no longer be seen when applied to editable type
No so much of as an idea as a rendering bug, the idea would be to fix it.

Versions CC2018 will not render the Gradient stroke & fill, just renders as black.1 voteI went to appearance panel and was able to apply gradients to type using fill and strokes.

Font increase/decrease arrows in character panel immediately closes character panel
Select text in an art board, when the character panel appears in the properties panel, and you then try and click/hold the text size arrows, they don't work and instantly close the character panel. Feels like a bug because I was able to use this workflow before to adjust the size of properly selected text.

- Editing existing type.
- The ability to actually see what I'm typing.
- Almost always there is no text refresh when editing text. You have to drag the text or otherwise alter it so that Illustrator is forced to refresh so you can see changes you make.
I'm using a new iMac Pro High Sierra. Please fix the bug!

Illustrator refusing to show fonts in character search when typing with no drop down, illustrator cc 2018
Changing font by clicking in the character search bar doesn't bring up the drop down or show the font changing... it's acting really buggy

Font Suggestion/Preview Font NOT Working on MAC's
I select a text box on my art board and go to the character palette to change the font. I was able to use the arrow keys up and down and see the font change on the art board. This feature no longer works with CC2018 Mac.
Or I was able to start typing a font name into the Character Palette and suggestions would pop up. This feature no longer works with CC2018 Mac.
I find this very irritating and a difficult way to work. This only happens on my MAC, my PC still works.
Can anyone help me with…

1. The dropdown menu in the type window for anti-aliasing options is disabled seemingly at random.- The anti-aliasing dropdown menu in the type window allows me to designate a render setting to one type selection however, this setting also seemingly applies to all type on the document (i.e. I cannot apply "Sharp" to one text block and "Strong" to another).

Text Formatting Bug
Adobe Illustrator 22.1 (64-bit)
Typing text within a single text box that requires different font styles formatting.
While editing the text within the text box, in the last version (Illustrator 21), I could change up the font style of a font family and continue typing.
But, in the updated version, if I change the font style (i.e. roman, bold, italic) I have to click back into the text box to continue typing. In addition, the change in formatting does not apply once clicked back into said text box. This requires me to type out whatever needs to be typed out…

Discretionary
The discretionary "st" ligature is showing on Arial and Times New Roman when I have discretionary ligatures turned off and standard ligatures turned on.
