Cursor disapears when against text frame
Cursor can not be seen when at the beginning of a sentence as it blends in with text box. Please make text cursor larger/wider.

Kerning on extended selections can only be set to Auto or 0 message
My kerning worked just fine about an hour ago, but now every time I try to add a custom kerning value it gives me the warning: Kerning on extended selections can only be set to Auto or 0.
I can't seem to get this to go away.
I uninstalled & reinstalled Illustrator and it is still happening.
I tried many fonts of different types, and it still won't work.-Chris

Transform the Height of a Font Object issues

When I try to Transform the Height of font object, it move the object instead of changing the Height of the object. If you Create Outlines, it's ok.1 vote -
Keyboard arrows when typing in the Text Tool
When typing within the text tool, my keyboard arrow keys fail to move the cursor between chars.

Text Objects become unresponsive
I'm encountering an issue where text objects will become unresponsive to direct selection. They behave like they have been locked but they haven't been, and using unlock all does nothing. The only way I've found to move them is by doing a broad drag select and gathering up multiple text objects at once. This will sometimes cause the text object to display it's bounding box. At this point I can deselect each of the other objects that were selected along with it and be left with just the problem object. Trying to move the object with the cursor will put…

If you drag paragraph styles in the window to order, you cannot click on styles again.

Adobe illustrator does not display acute mark for cyrillic fonts
Illustrator does not display acute mark for cyrillic characters. I can copy and paste something like "коты́" from EditText or from web browser, but in illustrator document acute will not displayed no matter which font will be used.
This is very strange bug, because acute marks works in font selector preview (see screenshot)
iMac Retina 5K 27" late 2015, macOS 10.14.3, 4Ghz i7 32Gb Rum, AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4Gb.

Extended top and bottom of glyphs of variable fonts are not rendered
Vertically long glyphs with variable font are not rendered at the top and bottom. Please see attached file.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

New text box appearing on clicking in current text box
When you click in a text box with the type tool, it'll create a new text box unless you click on the actual word you want to modify. Or if you are trying to add something to the end of your text and click like a millimeter off the letter, it'll create a new text box.
This is super annoying and I'm not quite sure why this function is necessary. It didn't use to be like this until the last update. Please look at this for the next update for those who use a lot of text in Illustrator.

We are unable to reproduce this issue in house.Can you help the Illustrator team to isolate this issue further so that we can nail this down?

1)Is this Issue still happening on your machine on Latest version 23.0.3 ?
2)Can you kindly provide Test File via (File→Package)and open Info Panel & provide some video while repeating steps with which you are facing this issue and share with us.

Font drop down menu disappears
Whenever I select the font drop down menu, and I'm going through the fonts I have, it just randomly disappears as I'm looking through the fonts to find the one I want to use, although I can still use my arrow keys to go through the list even though the drop down menu isn't on my screen.

Spell Check doesn't understand what "Uncapitalized Start of Sentence" means.
While running spell check, Illustrator doesn't seem to understand that a comma is not the end of a sentence, or that the word following the comma is the start of a new sentence. See attached screen shots.
(running the version of Illustrator on Mac running OS 10.13.6)

Typing in Hebrew it RTL
Whenever I try typing in Hebrew the letters go in the wrong direction, and I have no option in the paragraph pannel to change it as I know there is supposed to be. What should I do?

Reverting Text to default State after Live Preview of character properties
I'm on an iMac running High Sierra 10.13.2 and Illustrator CC 22.0.1
Text will randomly hide bounding boxes, apply tracking to text not selected, and refuse to apply adjustment to selected text. Closing the document and re-opening normalize things temporarily, but above behaviors come back.
All CC apps seem laggy and unstable after 2018 updates.

Fonts not synching across licenses on two laptops
My fonts (not from typekit) aren't synching across the licenses of two laptops - so if I want to work on a file from Dropbox I can't as the fonts are missing on the laptop I didn't create the file on. Defeats the purpose of being able to have AI on two laptops.

An installed font doesn’t get found when its name is typed in a search field
I'm missing fonts that used to show up in my list. What happened to my favorites? I started typing the missing font name in search and it showed up briefly and then disappeared. From then on every time I tried to search for it again the cursor jumped around and started typing nonsense.

Rendered text doesn't match its edges or its true state visible in Outline mode
Text content differs from edges and "path preview" (Cmd Y) to print preview (or GPU).
In my example, the word "Optipro" appears at the GPU Preview and disappears when I use the Cmd Y preview.2 votesI could not understand much looking at the screenshots.

text change when opening in Illustrator CC 2019
Illustrator 23.0.1 on Mac OS 10.12.6
I have issues when I open a document that was created in Illustrator CC2017 in CC 2019. It seems that the text spacing is different, so sometimes some characters are changing to the next line!
