1. relink bitmap file, or update link error

   every time i update the linked file, this annoying message always pop-up. it can't happen in the previous version of illustrator.

2. Illustrator v24.3にて同じ色のオブジェクト（または図形）をダイレクト選択ツールで選択後、塗りの色を白にすると落ちる

   以上の環境で使用しています。

   同色のオブジェクト（または図形）をダイレクト選択ツールで選択後

   カラーパレットから塗りの色を（カレーパレット左下の「塗りなし」「黒」「白」の場所）から「白」に変更すると

   アプリ自体が落ち、復元機能がオフにされてしまします。

   以前のバージョンでは問題なくカラーパレットから塗りの色変更ができます。

3. Just updated to Illustrator 24.3 and now installed font only has a few letters

   I updated to the latest version of Illustrator (24.3) and opened a document I had created in a previous version. Most of my text was missing. I checked and the font was still available and activated. I deactivated and reactivated and that didn't help. When I click the text, it gives me the message that "This text was created in a different version of Illustrator. Editing the text may cause some changes to your text layout. Basic formatting will not be affected. Do you want to continue?" The font is PeachyKeenJF. Only a few letters/numbers actually show up. I'm on Windows 365.

4. Clicking an item in a dropdown menu also clicks through into the underlying panel

   Describing my program layout:
   With my panels locked to the right hand side of the program, I have two columns of panels, Stroke/Brush/Color/etc. on the far right (minimized to select individual panels to expand when needed), and "Swatches" as a standalone column locked to the left of my other panles and constantly expanded.

   Describing the error:
   With the Swatches Panel column expanded, and my other panels stacked and minimized, if I were to select the Stroke Panel from the right, and expand that single Panel from the column it would overlap the swatches panel. Making Arrowhead selections from the dropdowns ends up selecting from the underneath Swatch panel. This causes my fill/stroke color to change to whichever swatch happens to be "under" the arrowhead dropdowns when I make a selection.

   I have not tested this with other Panels, but it occurs often enough in this setup that it's a severe disruption to my workflow and adds unwanted colors to existing artwork that is not intended, and may not be caught prior to production. Photo attached shows unintended swatch selection after dropdown arrowhead selection was chosen.

5. Artboards and arrowheads disappear

   Mac OSX 10.13.6 Illustrator 24.0 Creative Cloud
   Opened a file
   strokes with arrowheads to be strokes and artboards that were present when the file was closed to still be there.
   Strokes were dropped to shapes and grouped and the artboards were gone.

   I've seen this before and I can't figure out why it's happening. I have a file that I just worked in a few days ago and now when I open it, all the strokes I had with arrowheads are broken down into a shape for the line and a shape for each arrowhead and then the whole thing is grouped multiple times. On top of the stroke issue there were 3 artboards in the file when I closed it the other day. Now there is only one artboard. The artwork is there where the artboards should be, but the artboards themselves are gone.

6. Text path vanishes when moving it with selection tools (black or white arrows)

   Since updating to version 24.1.2 from Adobe Illustrator 2019, whenever I move text objects using any of the selection arrows, the highlighted path disappears during moving and only reappears when I stop moving the text object. This is frustrating as I can't see the baseline or centre point of the text object while trying to align it to something else. This never happened before I updated Illustrator. My OS is macOS Mojave 10.14.6, Illustrator version 24.1.2.

7. Current bugs that are making it nearly impossible to get work done

   As I type this, I'm reinstalling AI for the second time this month. This time without saved prefs. Please, Adobe, make this storied and remarkable piece of software STABLE before you talk about giving us new features. I don't want a new icon, I want not to have to explain to my boss that I didn't get anything done this morning because my industry-standard software didn't work.

   AI 24.2 (June 2020)
   MacBook Pro 16"
   2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7
   32 GB
   AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB
   Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB
   1 TB internal SSD, with 2 external SSD scratch disks

   1. Crashes CONSTANTLY. Connect or disconnect a display: crash. Wake computer from sleep: crash. Check email in a different app: crash. Literally, walk away from my desk or use another app for a while: crash. This has been happening since March. I've sent so many reports, complete with what I was doing "to trigger the problem."
   2. Intermittently doesn't update files hosted in the library/cloud.
   3. When a filename in that library is selected, you start typing a new name and it starts selecting tools with keyboard shortcuts.
   4. When making a change to width or height, proportions are locked even if the lock proportions button is unselected.
   5. Align buttons randomly throw the non-key object hundreds of pixels out of place when you're trying to align to center. This one has been going on for years.
   6. New real-time drawing intermittently doesn't work, even on a new document, with only a single vector rectangle and one short sentence of text.
   7. Can't resize certain panel group widths (this started today).
   8. Regularly resets Snap to Pixel, after I've turned it off.
   9. Export for Screens constantly forgets where you last saved a file. Intermittently does this immediately after setting the output location, effectively ignoring my input.
   10. Export for Screens adds a suffix to file names, even if you removed said suffix.

9. Variable Font bug: "wiggling" top of "U"

   1. Download and unzip https://www.dropbox.com/s/3b6k0izkm5ma3dy/200719-AdobeVFBug.zip?dl=1

   2. Install the font from font/DaikonVF-mini.ttf

   3. Run Illustrator 24.2.1

   4. Type "AU" and choose the Daikon VF font

   5. In the property bar, click the Variable Font button and move the weight slider between the extreme locations. Observe how the top of "U" "wiggles" (jumps up and down). This is shown in videos/DaikonVF-Illustrator-24.2.1,.mp4

   6. The same problem occurs in InDesign 15.1.1

   7. The same problem occurs in DTL OTmaster 7.9 and in FontView 2019 (an open source app built from https://github.com/googlefonts/fontview ) — both apps use older versions of the FreeType library.

   8. The problem no longer occurs in FontView 2020 (which I’ve rebuilt with newest FreeType). I’m including both the 2019 and 2020 version of FontView in the ZIP.

   9. The problem also does not occur in Chrome 83 (which I think uses FreeType for VF), nor it occurs in Safari 13.1.2. Videos are included in the "video" folder.

   So it seems that it’s a bug in FreeType which was fixed by the FreeType developers. If Illustrator and InDesign use FreeType for VF, then Adobe should update FreeType to the newest version

10. Asset export password bug 24.2.3

    Illustrator info: 24.2.3 (64bit)

    System info:
    Windows 10

    Steps:
    If I export artboards to pdf using the asset export window - each file will be password protected without me specifying it.

    This only happens if the last pdf I saved manualy (using save as) was password protected. Asset export will use the same password that I entered for this file.

    This would be a nice feature if it was an option you could select or de select, but not when it happens without informing me.

    The only workaround I know of, is to save a dummy pdf with the correct settings before using the asset export, needles to say this is a damper on workflow efficency.

    The presets used does not have password protection enabled. I am reasonably sure you can't put passwords in the presets actually. I tried now, and the password protection option was not enabled when I applied the preset.

11. Graphics Errors in Big Sur

    I have a brand new Mac Mini 2020, just released. I have been having weird glitches with graphics rendering, and I found this post

    Looks like it has been closed for commenting, and blame on Beta. However, I still have the issue. I am on Big Sur 11.0.1 on a brand new machine running AI 2021

    I took advice and disable GPU Performance, and it seems to be working now.

12. Colours of Layers defined in documents saved by version 23.1.1 & prior are shifted one colour down the list by Illustrator 24.0

    When a document created by or saved via Illustrator 23.1.1 or prior is opened in version 24, some (but not all) the Layers are incorrectly set in the colour immediately below the correct colour in the default Layers colour list.

    For example, a Layer that was set in “Brick Red” in a version 23.1.1 or prior document, is automatically changed to be in “Olive” when opened in version 24.0. “Olive” is immediately below “Brick Red” in the default colour list.

    This error is consistent across many different Illustrator CC documents - e.g. every document that I tested & that had a layer that should be in “Brick Red” now has that layer in “Olive”, BUT not every Layer colour is affected.

    Layers set in the first 3 default colours - “Light Red”, “Light Blue” & “Green” - appear correctly coloured across many documents. Possibly some other Layer colours are unaffected too.

    As I’ve replaced Illustrator 23.1.1 with version 24.0, I can’t open any of the affected documents in version 23.1.1 to see if overwriting them with a version 24.0 save permanently damages the correct colouring, or if the colours would revert to being correct if the documents were opened again in version 23.1.1.

    This sort of sloppy coding error is infuriating, and is precisely why I’d NEVER normally upgrade to a “dot-zero” release of anything. However I’d been getting issues with Illustrator 23.1.1 crashing when opening documents for the past few days (possibly related to updating the OS to macOS Mojave 10.14.6 - 18G1012 from the previous “version” of 10.14.6) and upgrading to Illustrator 24.0 has (ironically) fixed that issue at least.

    We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 24.0.1
    Now your files created in 23.1.1 or prior will retain layer color when opened in 24.0.1

14. Object move increments is off

    Mac OS Catalina 10.15.6
    Illustrator 24.3
    Updated 09/26/2020

    1. Checked preferences, changed to .001 px and rebooted illustrator

    2. Selecting an object and pressing the arrow keys the object would move a point at a time, now it is like I am always holding the shift (10px) instead.

    3. After the update I select an object and try to move it a point or two moves it randomly in every direction but the direction I would like.

15. SVG files doesn't open correctly. - Illustrator

    I have added as attachment the .svg files which aren't opened correctly, it is kinda only showing the filling.

    This problem accures in Illustrator Windows, and iPad OS, didn't tested on mac right now, but i don't have big hope.

    My guts tell me that there is a newer SVG standard, which isn't implemented yet?

16. Josef Pro font disappears as you type

    I am trying to type the word "Communications" in Adobe Illustrator. If I use any other font, it types fine and looks fine. When I use Josef Pro, the "ti" goes missing and only shows "Coomuncaons". When I change from Josef Pro to any other font, I can see the "TI". I tried this is other applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel and this problem does not happen. It's definitely an issue with Illustrator.
    Unfortunately, I cannot use another font because our company logo uses this Josef font.
    Please help.

    Illustrator tries to load a ligature from the font and can’t get one. Got resolved with unchecking the 'Standard Ligatures' button in the Window > Type > OpenType panel.

    If you have a similar problem with a different font, please try the same thing and comment.

17. App crashes very often and linked graphics lose their link connection

    macOS Catalina 10.15.7
    Since upgraded to Catalina Illustrator crashes very often (approximately 4-5 times in 6 hours of a working session ) and recovery files' linked graphics lose their connection to the root files even though they were embedded. Every single recovery file' links should be relinked one by one again and again. I've relinked the attached file links 4 times so far. Please find an immediate solution to this issue.

18. Crashing

    Since I updated 20 2021, I have has slow sluggish response and for no reason at all the program locks up and then crashes. Unfortunately I have to recreate all the art that I spent hours working on. Very Frustrated!

    If I use the rectangle tool to create a square/rectangle, rotate it (for example, 45 degrees), then try to resize using the selection tool, it resizes the wrong side. For example, if I drag the bottom left side, it moves the bottom right side.

    I've included a screen record demonstrating the issue.

    Operating system is Mac, Mojave, 10.14.6

    Illustrator version is 25.0.1 (though this bug has been noticed in older versions)

20. Lock object function not available

    When I try to lock an object to an artboard, nothing happens. I've tried using the hot key and accessing it via 'Object' on the menu bar and it's greyed out
