1. Eyedropper creates buggy hidden/invisible/non-existent appearances on text objects

   This bug only seems to work on Windows.
   Illustrator version: 25.2.1

   Creating a default text object, selecting it, then clicking on it with the eyedropper tool creates an invisible/pseudo-existing appearance on the text. This is evident in that going to the top menu shows that Object > Expand... is greyed out while Object > Expand Appearance is not. You can also see in the Layers panel that the text object has its selection circle filled with grey, indicating that it has an appearance. Yet checking the Appearance panel shows that there is no appearance at all (except whatever is the default).

   This apparent bug may or may not be limited to text objects. Although creating a path object and clicking on a default text object with the eyedropper tool shows that the bug occurs since a pseudo-existing appearance will appear on the path object. So something seems to be going on with text objects specifically at least.

2. dialogs in light mode, macos

   when saving or opening, system dialog appears in light mode. all the preferences of macos and illustrator's are set to dark mode.

3. Ich vermisse den einfachen Einstieg in Illustrator

   Warum ist es auf einmal nicht mehr möglich ein simples Dokument in A4 in Illustrator zu öffnen. Schon ziemlich dämlich gemacht. Wer will denn immer diese Vorlagen? Kreativ geht auch anders!! Kann ich das irgendwie ändern? Das ist einfach nur doof!

4. Features we could easily do without

   My idea is to limit the bad ideas. Such as "Invite to Edit." besides the fact that every good artist knows that design-by-committee yields bad designs all you have to do is send the file to the user you want to collaborate with! It's not a feature!!! We could already do it just fine and we didn't have to throw our intellectual property into a cloud which could be stolen or compromised by anyone at any time. The way Adobe's programs crash all the time do you think I'm going to entrust my clients files to your cloud? if I keep them in floppy disks on my front lawn I think they are safer.

   Many new features? I counted 3 and none of them help me. Centering Japanese glyphs, really? Maybe for the Japanese version but I can center anything 15 different ways. This is not a feature.

   What's up with putting a box with a useless anchor point around a locked object. And you can't click through it which defeats the purpose of locking it. Good thing someone mentioned that mislabeled box you have to click to put it back the way it was! Why did we need that?

   And then there is GPU perfomance...(sigh) a click box to make illustrator work faster. WHo would click it off because they want to work slower? Of course there is one problem...It doesn't work and caused multiple other problems! But you went on and on about this great new feature even putting it on the file name for a while there. If illustrator works faster, trust me, WE WILL KNOW!

5. オブジェクト（主にテキスト）が選択できない

   打ち込みをしたテキストが選択できないことが多々発生しております。
   その部分は印刷もできないので文字が抜けたまま出力し現場に回ってしまうという業務に支障が出ています。
   保存をして落とし再び立ち上げると問題は解決するのですが毎回その動作をするわけにもいかず、必ず不具合が起こっているわけでもないので困っています。これはPCの問題でしょうか？ご回答お願いします。(著作権等の問題で一部しか画像がのせれません)

7. "Preview" button does not turn off effect in non-destructive effects like "tweak"

   Select outline
   Select Effect > Distort and Transform > Pucker & Bloat (or any of them except Twist)
   Check off or on "preview" in dialog.

8. Skalierungsecken verschwinden bei zu schmalen Objekten

   Ich habe folgendes Problem. Wenn ich ein Objekt auswähle, kommt ja automatisch der blauen Begrenzungsrahmen mit den kleinen blauen Quadraten, die ich anfassen kann um die Größe zu verändern.
   Wenn die Objekte groß genug sind, kommt nicht nur in den Ecken das blaue Quadrat, sondern auch auf der Mitte der Strecke. Wenn man den Punkt in der Mitte anfässt, kann man das Objekt nur in dieser Richtung skalieren, was hilft, wenn man nicht aus Versehen Höhe und Breite verändern will.
   
   In meinen uralten Illustrator 10 hatte ich, wenn das Objekt zu schmal wurde, einfach einen blauen Begrenzungsrahmen, der größer war als das Objekt, sodaß ich auf jedenfall immer auch die mitteleren blauen Quadrate anfassen konnte um nur eindimensional zu skalieren. In der neuesten Version 2021 bleibt das Auswahl-Viereck aber so schmal wie das Objekt, sodaß man immer umständlich ran zoomen muß, bis die mitteleren Skalierungspunkte erscheinen. Ich hab heute mit dem Kundenservice 1.5 Std. verbracht und von Voreinstellungen bis neu installieren war alles dabei, hat aber nix gebracht. Hier ein Bild. Wenn es tatsächlich "raus"progarmmiert wurde, sollte es wieder rein genommen werden, da es nun sehr umständlich ist, schmale Objekte eindimensional zu skalieren ohne umständlich ran zoomen zu müssen.

9. Spot colours in gradients are not exported to PDF

   If I have a gradient that includes a spot colour, and then export that file as a PDF, the spot colour is removed from the gradient. This happens no matter what PDF export setting I use.

10. Variable font support for SVG Export

    Adobe Illustrator now supports variable font files where all the font style variants are incorporating into a single OpenType file.

    When exporting a text element in an illustrator file if using a font collection (such as Helvetica) where there are individual font files for different font weights, (thin, regular, medium, bold, ....) the text element is exported as:

    <text class="cls-12" transform="translate(121.64811 386.60663)"><tspan class="cls-13">A</tspan><tspan x="75.51965" y="0">p</tspan><tspan class="cls-14" x="146.07617" y="0">p</tspan><tspan class="cls-15" x="213.65833" y="0">. 18 t/m 21</tspan></text>

    which means the text can be modified in the SVG.

    If you export a text element that uses a variable font such as Bahnschrift, the text when exported is exported as an outline (path) rather than text when anything other than regular is exported:

    Ideally, the text element should be exported as text and the corresponding CSS is generated with the proper text weight and/or styles. This would ensure that emitted text is editable and be very cool.

    When I save the AI file as a PDF on IPad the words seem to change to squares

    일러스트레이터도 어서 빨리 Apple Silicon용으로 제대로 써볼 수 있게되면 좋겠네요.

14. Can't input negative values in fields

    When trying to input a negative value (in leading, kerning, tracking, any transform, etc) or perform subtraction in an input field, the number either switches to a positive value or doesn't make a change and plays the system error sound. This is in the latest version of Illustrator on OS X 10.14.6

15. Colour conversion values have changed?

    Our company logo uses 3 colours. 100% cyan, 100% magenta and 100% yellow.
    Had rgb values for these for years, but have done a conversion of the logo today and the rgb values are different to previously. Why would this be? In illustrator.

    I have 3 artboards...but only one shown in the list.
    See screenshot, systemInfo.txt and AI file.
    Export for Screens also lists one artboard.

17. smart guides not working in clipping mask

    I have had this problem for probably the last 3 versions or more ... but generally, when I've masked a number of objects inside of a clipping mask, then double-click to edit the contents inside the clipping mask, smart guides no longer function. Or, more correctly, very occasionally they will, but generally not.

    I always update to the latest versions of Illustrator. Currently I'm using 25.2.1

19. "What's new" reminder will not stop appearing every time I start Illustrator.

    the 'see what's new' reminder in the upper right will not stop appearing every time I start Illustrator. Deleting preferences doesn't help. Clicking remind later is getting to be annoying.

20. Colors Being Displayed Differently than in Color Picker

    I just decided to update to AI 2021, bad idea... I was working on a file and I realized that the color had changed from the original dark blue to a purple color. I do not know what happened, but I know it must have to do with the update because it happened right after this.
