  1. Art Recolor crashes Illustrator

    Using a new MBP 13" M1, and attempting to re-color artwork causes the spinning beach ball which never goes away. Illustrator remains open and non-responsive, and the only resolution is a hard reboot via the power button or command line (force quit doesn't work). Yikes!

  3. Illustrator 2021

    I have a 2015 macbook pro Catalina OS ver 10.15.7, 8 Gb 1867 MHz DDR3 with over 100 Gb free and an intel iris Graphics 6100 1536 graphics card
    This computer was powerful enough to run the previous version of illustrator. However, with the new version (2021) there has been a significant slowdown to the point where even copy pasting a simple design takes a minute to do. It is slow and the lag is insufferable. Is there anyway down grading can become available or an option? Or is there something I can do to improve the performance of illustrator…

  5. MacOS 10.14.6 PDF

    When saving using an existing PDF preset the crop marks offset values have been changed from .25 to .025. And the bleed values have changed from .5 to .05. See screen capture.

    After having drawing a polyline and drag one of the corners to a new position there appears black artefact shapes.

  7. Align to pixel grid not working

    I'll have a shape like a rectangle that is, for example, 84px x 118.9999px (according to every panel with those dimensions). If I click "align to pixel grid," nothing happens. The expected behavior is for the 118.9999px height to become 119px. I run into similar issues with X and Y coordinates as well as W and H dimensions.

  8. Freeform gradient error with fill swatch on deselection

    Windows 10 Pro 1909 on Illustrator 25.0.1

    Deselecting an object with a Freeform gradient applied causes the fill swatch to show a question mark. If an object is then drawn with that question mark in the fill, Illustrator reports the following error:

    "Can't finish previewing. Could not complete the requested operation."

    Here are the steps to recreate:

    1. Draw rectangle with a fill but no stroke applied
    2. Fill with any 4 point freeform gradient
    3. Click away from rectangle
    4. Observe the fill swatch now has a question mark
    5. Draw another rectangle
    6. Error message appears.

    Incidentally. the appearance panel shows nothing applied to…

  9. Cannot select type baseline with text tool when snap to grid is active.

    Is there an option I'm missing here with the newer versions of Illustrator? I have to key command the grid on and off constantly just to highlight small captions or type.

    Beyond just a bug, can not use software at all. Illustrator 25.0.1 2021 update after about 2/3 functions work area screen goes blank or random rectanges can not see art in any mode.

    Removed all Plug-Ins - Still happens
    Uninstall then installed - Still happens with out the plug-Ins

  12. Rotation is too sensitive. I cannot use transform options.

    Rotation was too insensitive in the previous version.
    Rotation is too sensitive in this version. It is prioritizing it over everything else too much.

  13. Scale tool slowing down and not responding correctly

    I am not happy with the 2020 separate Scale tool. I am still getting used to the fact that I have to switch between tools but that is bearable. But the fact that this tool goes crazy makes me want to throw my laptop to the wall. It is way too sensitive to the move of my drawing pen and scales in an undesired direction. Usually, after I lift the pen but still hold the Shift for a second longer, the image/object totally distorts and going steps back lags and stops my work as I have to wait for Illustrator…

  14. Artifacts when working with "pixel preview" and Cmd+0

    MacOs Catalina 10.15.7
    Illustrator 25.0.1

    When i working with Pixel preview and zoom in/zoom out (all ways: Opt+mouse wheel, Cmd++/Cmd+- and Cmd+0) artboard - it displayed incorrectly.
    Switching Pixel preview of and on displays graphics correctly.

    If i disable "Display print size at 100% zoom" it works correctly with Opt+mouse wheel and Cmd++/Cmd+-, but Cmd+0 still works with artifacts.

    If i enable "Display print size at 100% zoom" again it still working correctly only with Opt+mouse wheel and Cmd++/Cmd+-.
    (Turning off GPU don't help with this problem)

    I test this bug on my friend's MacBook with same result.

  15. Soooooooo slow!!

    I've recently subscribed to Adobe Illustrator which is a good system, but using the software slows my computer down to an almost standstill. So much so that I can't use it efficiently. I've tried to cancel but it looks like I have to pay nearly £80 to cancel! I want to use the software but it simply is not compatible with my Mac. I'm using Mac Catalina 10.15.7.

  16. Shear degrees not working in Transform window latest version 25.0.1

    Using the shear in the transform window works but not correctly, When using an arrow to shear an item, the number switches from 0 degrees to 1 degrees and then back to 0 degrees and does not hold the changed degrees number but does shear the item. so if you want to shear say 15 degrees you can push the arrow key 15 times and it will work or you can type in 15., BUT will revert back to 0 degrees so you have no clue how much it is sheared. Rotation degrees works fine in the same transform window.…

  19. restoring files is NOT working

    I was working on a project and my computer reset on me automatically. After it was done, I tried going back into Illustrator and my work was gone. I have tried restarting the app and my work has not came back! Please help me restore my work!

  20. Dock does not hide when toggling full screen

    Hello, I'm using MacOS High Sierra and Catalina, however the dock does not hide when toggling full screen in Illustrator and photoshop, like any other apps. Any help ??
