Blending paths with Width profiles works wrong
Create two lines.
Apply width profiles to both of them.
Blend them.

Downsampling not working properly with Extra large artboards
When saving into a PDF file larger than 225.5417" it uses the new extra large artboard feature (since version 24.2). This applies a scaling factor of 10 so that the file can be viewed properly in Acrobat.
The issue is that if you downsample your images it doesn't take into account the scaling factor. This means for a 1000" document, if I want to downsample to 300 dpi/in, I will need 300 000 dpi. But, the downsampling tools views the document as being 100" instead, and I end up with 30 000 dpi. So the end result is a 30dpi/in…

Keyboard modifiers no longer work with Transform panel
Up until the latest release of Illustrator, pressing Command-Return after entering a new height or width for an object in the Transform panel would scale it proportionately. This no longer works and pressing Return does nothing if any modifier key is held down. The same is true for holding Option while pressing Return (this used to transform as a duplicate but has not worked for a while). Pattern shifts around in PDF file when zooming in
When making something with a pattern, I heard and saw that when I save it as a PDF, the pattern starts shifting around when I zoom in.
I save my files always as Smallest File Size.

Big Sur and native Effects gallery crash
Anybody else getting Illustrator CC2019 and 2020 to crash in Big Sur (beta) when accessing the Filter Gallery (eg. Effect > Texture > Grain)?
You don't even have to apply the effect. Simply opening that window will doom you to a crash.
Tested with latest public releases of CC2019 + 2020 and macOS 11 Beta (20A5384c) on 2015 iMac.

I lost my all work from last 10 days.
What should I do now?
All data was very important and I created by working hard days and nights. This is 3rd time happening with me from last year. I saved my work but still it is not listed there in recent works.

1 bit TIFF files still importing inverted after all these years
It's been a while since I needed to import a 1 bit tiff file into Illustrator (maybe two years?) And I was so surprised to see this problem still occurs even in version 24.0.3
Does anyone know a fix bedside inverting it in Photoshop before importing it?
This is a no go, because when people open the file who aren't experiencing the the problem, it's wrong again.3 votes -
Cap Height setting not using Font Cap Height
Hello, the option for setting a size of a font by the font's specified cap height appears to be using a metric other than the cap height in at least one instance.

Impossible to create a very simple compound object of a shape and a word of multiple characters
It's been an ongoing issue for me for years. Until recently I used to be able to work around it by breaking the word into individual characters and substrating them from the shape one by one but now even this annoying method stopped working. I have literally no idea how to do this very simple thing any more!

Bug when Alt/Option-dragging multiple points with Direct Select
In Illustrator version 24.3, I'm getting a bug with Alt/Option-dragging multiple points using the Direct Selection tool. See screen recording attached.
Opt+dragging one point gives expected results.
Opt+dragging 2 or more points copies the entire object.

Closing documents makes Illustrator 2020 to hang (24.3)
On Windows 10 (v 1909) when closing a document (previously saved, or opened without any change, or a new empty document) Illustrator hangs and is unresponsive for 5-20 sec.
This is happening after update.
Photoshop had the same problem, but the hanging time reduced after the newest updates.2 votes -

24.2.3 → 24.3 アップデートすると、一般の単位がptにリセットされる

24.2.3 から 24.3 へアップデートしたら、環境設定の単位の一般と線でmmの設定が、Illustrator起動毎にptにリセットされてしまいます。
設定ファイルの再作成を行っても、環境設定ファイル全体の再作成を行っても解決されません。

Blob Brush sticks and then releases when starting a stroke. very annoying
I have tried everything that I know. n Unchecking GPU Performance is not working. I do a lot of work in blob brush and the attached video shows how annoying this is. I have a Wacom Cintiq 22HD.

Static (not file related)
I am on a Windows 10, hp. I am not sure what is going on with my Illustrator. I've been using it pretty regularly. Recently it crashed. When I reopened it, there is now some kind of static at the top of the document. It doesn't matter what type of file is open. I have tried opening different Ai files or creating new ones and the static is still there. I have also tried uninstalling/reinstalling/updating etc. Nothing has helped. Every time I move the view or click around, the static moves. I can still work, but it's extremely distracting and…

Illustrator not outlining type correctly
I've only started to encounter this recently and it doesn't happen with all fonts. When I outline certain typefaces - such as your Source Sans - it outlines parts of some letters individually, such as the bar in the letter 'A' in the attached example, or does some bizarre detour as seen in both the comma and the apostrophe (the two most typical examples I could think of).
All I am doing is outlining type with no stroke.
I'm running Illustrator 24.3 and Catalina 10.15.6

No option to stop recording an action when resetting workspace
When recording an action with Button Mode unchecked in the actions panel, there is currently no way to stop recording the action if you reset your Workspace with your Workspace having button mode enabled. As far as I know, there are also no hotkeys to start/stop recording for Actions either. Forced to restart Illustrator otherwise.
