  3. Font compatibility issues between different iOS and Illustrator versions

    My one system is on Mojave (10.14.6) running 25.4.8 illustrator. The other system is on Monterey (12.3.1) running 26.5 illustrator. And I have downloaded and installed Petrona font from Google fonts on both the systems.

    Now when I try to open the file (that was created on Mojave) on Monterey I'm prompted for missing fonts! This compatibility issue is making it very difficult for me to work across my devices.

  4. Bulleted text became outlined without performing "Create Outlines" action

    I found my text with added new bullet function became outlined text and cannot be edited anymore through type after closing and reopening the AI file.

    I have to retype the text, thus I am guessing that the bullet function may have triggered this because the rest of my text without bullet in that same file is still editable. Please help rectify. Attached two images of the outcome.

  5. SVG Exporter with decimal to 1 rounds lower percentage opacities to 0

    macOS Catalina 10.15.7, Adobe Illustrator 26.5

    In the latest versions of Adobe Illustrator, the SVG exporter when the decimals parameter is 1 low percentage opacities are rounded to 0 in the CSS styles of the SVG file. This problem did not exist in older versions of Adobe Illustrator (2017, 2018)

    1. In a new Adobe Illustrator file make some paths or shapes, set fill color and set opacity to 10%.

    2. Export for Screens / Format SVG.

    3. Format Settings:
      Styling: Internal CSS
      Font: Convert To Outlines
      Images: Link
      Objects IDs: Minimal
      Decimal: 1
      Minify: false
      Responsive: false

    4. Export Artboard

    Expected result: SVG…

  6. error import data illustrator

    Illustrator has a bug when importing letters or names that have accents or unconventional symbols in a batch import the letters never load. I send a cvs file. Load it with batch option and search MEJÍA name.

  8. Divis/Minus-Zeichen und Leerzeichen am Zeilenanfang ergibt falschen Wortabstand

    macOS Monterey 12.5.1 / Adobe Illustrator v26.5

    Beginnt eine Textzeile mit einem Divis/Minus/Bindestrich und einem folgenden Leerzeichen/Wortabstand, so beträgt der Abstand zum nächsten darauf folgenden Zeichen nicht wie üblich ein Viertelgeviert, sondern ein Geviert. Die darauf folgenden Wortabstände in der gleichen Textzeile verhalten sich normal. Beginnt man jedoch mit der Eingabe-/Return-Taste eine neue Zeile, so erscheint automatisch auch an diesem Zeilenanfang ein Divis mit anschließendem Geviert-Wortabstand. Dieses „Geister-Divis“ lässt sich nicht separat anwählen.

  9. Menu windows eventually are inoperable

    Usually once per day my file menu windows become inoperable, they are completely white. This has only started happening since the most recent update. The only way out of it is to shut down. It doesn't even let me save. I'm running Windows 11 and the version is 26.4.1.

  10. Copy-Paste from CAD

    In Windows (or earlier versions, I don't know where could be the difference) I could simply Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V from a AutoCAD drawing to Illustrator and it would paste the lines perfectly (as a group though).
    Now in Mac, it pastes a temp file direction.
    How can this be fixed? Thanks!

  11. Missing font from Adobe laptop to Desktop

    I created a design on my adobe Ipad. When I open file on Desktop Adobe says I am missing font and does not give option to activate. Font is DIMCondensed-Bold.

  13. Using Type Character Panel generates error message 100% of the time

    Whenever I use the Type panel in Adobe Illustrator 2022 (Beta) 26.6.564, the bug window in the attachment opens up. This happens when trying to select a font or change any font characteristics. It occurs on two different computers running Windows 11 22H2. One is an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X with 32GB DRAM-DDR4 and the other is a Xeon processor with 64GB DRAM-DDR3.

  14. strange messages when saving

    this started with 26.5 update: saving a file shows a message that some variable text is converted to paths in the save progress dialogue.
    Since in some older version this message sometimes came before a crash with data loss, I verified the file - no text objects at all. Also it seems that the message is related to the amount of material saved

  15. SVG export - ignores object style when fill is empty

    While exporting to svg, Illustrator converts object styles to css classes. It works fine when object style has both fill and stroke, but when it's only stroke, Illustrator adds it's own generated classes (.cls-1) like if the object style didn't exist.

    Please see output examples:
    - both stroke and fill
    - just stroke

  16. Illustrator changes color values when pasting between documents

    When I copy and paste vector objects between documents (both in CMYK mode), it often slightly changes color values, unless I hit Cmd+C three or four times before pasting. It also often pastes unformatted text in default Myriad Pro font (workaround is also hitting Cmd+C multiple times (!?)). I work in printing industry, I am very familiar with color modes and stuff, have proper synchronised color settings, but this is really annoying.

  17. Unit increments are not correct

    I set my keyboard increments at 0,1 mm so when I click on an object I can move it by that amount, or when I use the shift-key it moves with 1 mm. However, it moves with 1 pt increments. Very annoying.

  18. Links Placement Options does not preserve file dimensions after DRAGGING image into AI file

    Hi. The Links panel>>>Placement Options>>>Preserve File Dimensions does not work for linked images that are placed by dragging files into the Illustrator document. Preserve File Dimensions does work when using the Place file menu option or keyboard shortcut. We have a client that drags files into our master AI file. They prefer to work this way, and we are trying to prevent scaling. Has anyone run into this issue?

  19. Shadow rendering

    So, I did something around 3d and I come into an interesting bug when I do a V-ray. Those ugly patchy things are there if any scenario, and after reinstalling. They show when I move, when I export and all that jazz. Any idea why this is happening?

  20. If the vote is low, is the insect I found a bug a bird?

    Let me tell you from the beginning, I'm not trying to get more votes here..
    What does voting change? Does it produce a solution? What does it matter if I get 1,000,000,001 votes?
    For example, there is a bug in illustrator and I prove it. But vote 3 etc. 5 Does this cease to be a bug? What a stupid app.
    I have serious doubts that Uservoice is cumbersome.
