Opening Harmony Rules in the Color Guide crashes AI 27.2
Lately when opening the color guide and clicking on any of the non default harmony rules instantly crashes Illustrator with a segfault. This is happening on several AI files. I am on macOS 13.1 and AI 27.2 on an intel mac. I have attached the crash report from macOS.

The name "Black" is automatically blocked when creating global swatches
If you create a new global color swatch, regardless of the breakdown, the name "Black" is automatically blocked. The name "White" is not.
It seems silly to call this issue out, but I've prepared logo libraries for eight and a half years now, and this has been an ongoing consideration. When I create a black swatch, there is always an extra step. Sometimes I intentionally misspell the name to create the swatch, or I create a non-global swatch with the correct name, but in both scenarios I have to adjust the swatch AFTER it is created to produce a black…

Saving to Creative Cloud is Changing My Patterns
This has to do with repeating patterns. I'm using Adobe Illustrator 2021, desktop.
Attached is a picture of 2 circles on a background (shield your eyes, it isn't pretty :-)). When I make the pattern - in this case, the circles were drawn with the blob brush - the inside of the 2 circles is empty and we can all see the background. It's a ring. When I pull that pattern out of swatches, however, it will color in that background. In this one, it's black. It changes depending on the pattern and the colors I'm using. And it is…4 votesI am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.1.0 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

After checking the Apply to all checkbox when I get a swatch conflict, the box keeps popping up with more conflicts. Esc key doesn't end it. Haven't seen this before v25.

'Edit Color Group' does not respect global or spot color swatches.
The 'edit color group' tool is a neat little palette explorer, but in practice I never use it because my workflow is centered around global swatches, and it completely ignores that.
Try this:
- Make a few global color swatches. Draw some shapes using them.
- Double-click on one of those swatches, play with the sliders, notice that everything drawn in it changes to match.
- Make those swatches into a color group.
- Select the color group and hit the 'Edit Color Group' button in the Swatches palette.
- Change some colors, hit OK, yes you do want to save your changes to the…

eyedropper tool doens't pick up properties
The eyedropper tool used to be able to pick up properties from one vector to another. for example when there is a vector shape with a border and a gradient and what to copy the same properties (same border and gradient) on to a different vector shape. Tried using shift, or double clicking on the eyedropper tool to look at the eyedropper options.

Global colours don't seem to be preserved in freeform gradients
I have complex files that are made up of multiple gradients to create a 3D effect. Some of the gradients are linear and some are freeform. I am currently in the process of creating artwork files for both print and digital. To create the digital files I am converting all the files to RGB. There is a specific brand colour that has a different RGB make up than the standard conversion. I thought, no problem, I'll just update the global colour swatch and it should cascade through. But it doesn't! It does on the linear gradients, but not on the…

Can't drag a color swatch onto a gradient color stop
macOS High Sierra, then Mojave 10.14.3
iMac 2017
Processor 3.4 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 24 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
Graphics Radeon Pro 570 4096 MBI used to be able to drag a color swatch onto the color stops on the gradient slider, replacing the existing colors on the slider. Now, in Illustrator 2019, the vast majority of the time it only adds the color swatch as an additional stop instead of replacing it. So the gradient will go from 2 stops to 3 despite me only wanting to replace one of the 2 colors in it. I can…

GPU performance color
Illustrator CC 2019
Mojave 10.14.1Bright RGB red/pink appearing correctly in swatch, but washed out when filling a shape with same colour on artboard.
Only way I've found to fix this is to turn off GPU performance and the colour then appears bright and correct, but with GPU off live drawing is very laggy.
Any fix for this??

Color not applying correctly on selected objects rvsd
I guess one cannot revise/edit one's own report. So here goes. I select an object and try to change the color of the stroke and fill by typing in the hex (?) code, e.g., 050505, and the color does not take. I have to move the circle in the select color box for the color to take and even then it is 50/50 as to whether the color holds. I have never had this problem before and it sure is frustrating now!

Character Styles and Color Picker
Assigned a color value of #c0c0c0 to a Character Style. Selecting the same text and then checking the color in the Color Picker returns a hex value of #bfbebe. Ideas?

Issues with changing tint by typing in % value and hitting Return key
Illustrator 2018 CC 22.0.1
Mac OS El Capitan 10.11.6As per video, after typing in a numerical value for a tint on a global colour in the Color Panel and hitting Return, the value defaults back to original value. In my video, it shows that it’s having issues with values of 50% and 100% but this occurs randomly and can happen with different tint values.

"Can't define a pattern from the current art"
Discovered in 29.8.1, also seen in beta 30.0.21. Both on MacOS 14.7.6.
- Draw some shapes. Select them.
- Object > Pattern > Make
- "Can't define a pattern from the current art" pops up instead of pattern edit mode.
Dragging the shapes to the Swatch palette still works, luckily, so I can get on with what I want to do, but what the heck?
oookayyy, further exploration reveals that it is something about one particular global color swatch?!? see attached file.
