  2. X- Y-coordinates are not aligning

    When attempting to align two existing points by typing in an exact measurement for x- y-coordinates, they do not align on screen. When the measurements typed in are the exact same, they are NOT aligning on the screen. This is making it quite difficult to refine shapes.

  4. Asset Export panel list view trims filenames to approx 24 characters

    Asset Export list view should show full file name or clip to panel width. As it stands, my file names are being trimmed even though there is plenty of room to show the full name.

  5. Shortcuts not working, update cc 2018

    I was using CC fine the other day, and now I've updated to the latest version (2018) none of my shortcuts are working, only the space bar works for moving around - very frustrating since it takes away my whole workflow and adds loads of time to creating something very simple!

  7. White lines appearing on the text when we apply Extrude and Bevel effects in 3D

    White lines appearing on the text when we apply Extrude and Bevel effects in 3D. Is there any solution to fix this.

    Version: Adobe Illustrator 22.0.1

    Expected result: 3D effect of the text layer without white lines.

  9. Find Font broken between OSX and Windows

    Find Font is broken.

    For a missing font it requests a different font for OSX and Windows for the same file. It has something to do with the family name or font name or something. The important thing is that it is inconsistent between OS and is impossible to determine the correct font due to this error. This is confirmed to be effecting many people.

  10. Pixel Preview stuck the Program

    I have Illustrator cc 2018.
    When I press Pixel Preview -
    1. It does not show a pixel preview - it keeps show the vector preview.
    2. It jams the software. You can't do any action, unless close the software. And than if you press pixel preview again - it will happen again.

  12. Problem selecting Text Area background with direct selection

    Illustrator CC 2018
    Windows 10

    When I want to select the background of a Text Area with the direct selection tool (white arrow), I can only do so by clicking on the edge or half a pixel inside it, or it will select the text (unless there's free space under the text, which doesn't happen if you the block is automatically resized).

    I have checked on Mac, you can click anywhere inside the box where there is no text (eg the end of any line if text aligned is left) to select the background.

  13. My Illustrator CC window will not minimise into the dock?

    Hi,

    Not sure where to go with this one but I have just upgraded to Adobe CC and noticed that I'm unable to 'Minimise' the window in Illustrator and also noticed that it won't do it in InDesign but Photoshop does minimise (ODD!)

    All it will do is when you double click it fills to fit screen and then the opposite.

    I have posted this onto the forum and others have mentioned that they are also experiencing this problem.

    (I have turned on the 'Double -click a windows title bar to minimize' in the System Preferences)

  14. Properties Panel allows to edit Transform values when there is no selection

    The panels still show you properties even if nothing is selected. So you can tweak them all you want, just to notice you’re actually not modifying anything.

    If nothing is selected they should be disabled

  15. .TIF are distorted when placed and rotated in AI

    There is a bug in Illustrator 22.0.1 that distorts placed .tif files that are rotated. It is not just a display issue, but actually distorts the placed .tif image when I export my art to all file types. Attached is a before and after screen shot of what I am experiencing, using a bitmap .tif as a texture placed over my vector art. The two .tif files are the same, one just rotated 90°.

  16. "Type Object Selection by Path Only" no longer works

    I've been using this option from the start and the new version (Oct 18) ignores the preference and I have to click down to select objects below the type. VERY annoying.

  17. High Sierra rearranged PDF Preset order

    After updating my Mac to High Sierra, the PDF export presets are all in seemingly random order with no way to rearrange them. This isn't true in any other CC application.

  18. Getting error while opening illustrator. Workspace missing.

    Get an error while starting the illustrator. Workspace is missing as well. Even if I reset the workspace nothing happens. Nothing happens when I select an already saved workspace. Please figure this out ASAP cannot complete my work.

  19. zoom

    When snap to grid is on, it will only create new text. It won't select existing text for editing - probably because it isn't on the grid. This never used to happen before the latest update.

    Illustrator cc 2017 was perfect, 2018 is a nightmare!
