Issues with changing font type
I am using Illustrator 22.0.1 to design a logo. I've tried this on both my MacBook Pro and on my iMac and had the same thing happened:
With the document open, I double-clicked on of the words to get the Type panel to open on the right. I then made my selection with the Type tool and then clicked the font drop down menu to change the font and started scrolling.
I need to be able to scroll through the font dropdown menu to browse the fonts so I can make a selection.
Instead, the font menu bugs out and automatically closes, and then changes the type I have highlighted to some random font.

shortcut delay
in iMac, all of the keyboard shortcuts are a little bit delay, like 0.5s. How can i solve this issue?

Cmd + Opt + Space to call Zoom tool is broken
The shortcut for the Zoom, "Space + Cmd + Opt" is broken... It's a selection's tool which appears, I don't change my shortcuts.

Making a button - Changing stroke on text to shape adds extra point [BUG]

- I was trying to make a scalable button with the text tool:
Used text tool to write "Label", then in the appearance panel I added a stroke under Characters and then turned it into a rounded rectangle and adjusted the size to the desired shape. This did what I want, except it added an extra point it seems that causes an artifact in the shape. Is there any way you could fix this to close the shape properly/ also be able to adjust the stroke alignment for this.
- Expected a nice smooth pill shaped button
- The shape did not result the way it should have - not a clean looking vector.

Illustrator has crashed twice in the past hour (and multiple times today)
I was editing lines in this document and it keeps crashing. Not sure why... Any help would be appreciated! I was moving lines from one layer into another when it crashed just now. Thanks!

The file "Untitled" is an unknown format and cannot be opened
I was working on a file that I opened from Photoshop CC 2018 and after I saved it. I wanted to open it again and I got this message:
"The file "Untitled" is an unknown format and cannot be opened"I tried opening it again from photoshop and saved it as an ai. file. I went to open it again and I get the same error message: The file "Untitled" is an unknown format and cannot be opened

Stylize shows only one effect
Why can't I access all of the effect options? Only "Glowing Edges" is in the drop down.

Freeze screen
Sometimes the text boxes freeze and seem like I can't edit but actually are editable, is just I can't see exactly what I am doing.
The other thing, and is a major issue, is that the outline mode is not visible, apparently, I can activate it but there nothing changes on my screen besides the option that shows that the mode is active.2 votesPlease accept my sincere apology for the inconvenience. Unable to assign CMD+Z to Undo tool
I am using Illustrator CC 2018 22.0.1 for Mac (High Sierra 10.13.2) and I am having trouble assigning CMD + Z to my "Undo" tool. After my last update, I had lost nearly all of the default keyboard shortcuts (I had never customized them before so I assume they were the defaults) like cmd + s = save, cmd + c = copy, cmd + v = paste, etc. which was really frustrating to always have to go to the menu bars to do small actions. However, I have since gone in manually and reinstated the old shortcuts, but for some reason it will not allow me to apply a shortcut with a "z" to "undo" or any other tool. I can apply another letter to the undo tool, but not "z". For the sake of continuity across all programs and habit of cmd+z for undo on nearly every program ever, I'd like to keep it as a z.
Oddly enough, this only happened to Illustrator. My other Adobe CC products are fine.

Font size dropdown not displaying list of default font sizes when clicked
- Illustrator version 22.0.1 (latest release)
- Issue occurs when changing font parameters
- Expected the font size dropdown to appear upon click
- Clicking on the font size drop down arrow does not display the list of font sizes as it is meant to.

Several Illustrator 22.0.1 Issues with High Sierra Update
The issues keep surfacing after the OS High Sierra update making my job increasingly difficult and frustrating. Issues ranging from bounding boxes not working to the inability to modify/click on text. Also, I find that I sometimes after some design and then saving the project, the layout switches back on all the changes that I made, after saving is complete. I'll close the file, reopen, and the changes appear as they should have. Crashing is also an issue, seems "minor" compared to these other problems. Oh, and most times when I save, I get the message that this file has been modified outside of Illustrator. I am the only person with access to the file, not on any network of any sort.
Gosh, I hope you can adjust for these issues Adobe! Perhaps it was my bad to update the OS. Sorry to give such a laundry list, but this is affecting my work :(

Symbols and CC Libraries
So there is a bug with symbols being used in CC Libraries that I came across. If you place a symbol on something and apply a type of appearance effect, like a warp, you are unable to place or open up that file again in the CC Library. You will get an error that says "Can't open the illustration".

Crash in Illustrator CC 2018 while using Wacom
After copy paste selected type tool, rotate tool and then again type tool with wacom. It resulted in crash on my mac.

Illustrator cc 2018 does not work correctly with the Nvidia GF 610m graphics card.
The program closes with an error when selecting the brush tool. Is there any solution to this problem? I know about switching to an integrated graphics card, but its performance is very small. I noticed the same thing when working with nvidia in illustrator, the tooltip does not show any hints, just the new dialog for creating a new document does not appear (only the advanced one works or the old one works, I do not know how it is called correctly).

Artifacts that shouldn't be there
I've noticed that sometimes there will remain some random artefacts of after deleting anchors that are ordered in lines or curves around each other.
It will remain there, can't be selected, and even if the rest of the original form is removed, it still remain.
It is not shown after rendering the image though.
It occurs sometimes, and could be disturbing.Latest in CC 2018-01
2 votesIf this problem is still an issue, it’d be necessary to provide a test file, full OS and hardware specs, including GPU and the driver, so that the team can try to reproduce it.

Can’t select tools in tool groups, no dropdowns appear
When trying to select a tool underneath the main tool, nothing happens. Tools with arrows to select further will not "drop down" so i can select a different tool. So when trying to select the smooth tool from the sharper tool, it doesnt do anything whether i highlight over it or click and hold.

Type reverting to default when using shift or symbols.
When within the text box, every time I use a symbol (i.e. parenthesis, bullet point) the action causes the type font to revert back to default. In the attached image I was using Acumin and after the parenthesis it reverted back to Myriad Pro.
It's just inconvenient to have to select the text over again and make it the correct font.

Artboard Custom Resize Bug
Illustrator V22.0.1
2 problemsWhen manually updating artboard dimensions, the artboard itself no longer previews your changes, you have to click "Update while dragging" to see the size before closing the window.
Artboard dimensions sometimes automatically revert back to previous values, if the new values are close in number. For example changing 423mm to 420mm, the value in the box would revert back to 423mm immediately.
No specific files, this happens in general.

Layer Panel is blank & not representing any layer panel icons or titles
Layer Panel went blank randomly in a multi-layered project. Cannot view titles or any icons. Sometimes running the mouse over layer panel reveals the information that the mouse points at, however, only to disappear (title info, icons etc) if you click on layer.
Latest version of Illustrator CC 2018. Have rebooted system twice, one shutdown for several hours, one restart. Also researching online to find similar issues. Seems to be relatively new issue.

From panel flyout open Layer Options and see if the thumnails for “Layers” “Groups” and “Objects” are selected and “Top Layer Only” is Not selected.Also “Show Layers Only” check box should be deselected.
