Isolation mode only works for a sub-group when double-clicked, option greyed out on right-click dropdown
I have the latest version of CC. I have a simple group containing a filled path and a more complex sub-group of objects. I can right-click the whole group and isolate it from the rest of the document by selecting "Isolate Selected Group" from the right-click dropdown, but when I try to further isolate the more complex group inside, the option on the right-click dropdown is greyed out.
Typically I prefer to have the "Double Click to Isolate" deselected from the General Preferences because I often mistakenly enter Isolation Mode when I don't want to be because I've accidentally double-clicked…

Windows 7 Suddenly has Multiple Issues with Illustrator
Creative Cloud in Windows 7 - The start window no longer displays the correct recently used files. The program locks up unexpectedly and once locked will not allow me to save my work. I must use the Task Manager to get out of the program and then start over from the last saved point.

Failure to Generate opaque color on shape layering

When working in illustrator the artwork appears correct. When I go to export contents to jpeg illustrator incorrectly generates a semi-transparent result when I look at the jpeg file. This is incorrect and I'm claiming this as a bug since I don't see this when rendered in illustrator. The result does not match rendered image.
Example 1 is a snip of a portion of the image from inside illustrator. Note that the shape lettering is opaque as expected. When I go to export to a jpeg I end up with a shape that is now semi-transparent...a big no-no.

freezes when drawing objects
Whenever I try and draw an new shape or object illustrator freezes. I have tried updating, uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing has fixed the problem. Have to force close the program to leave.

Problem rasterising unicode-named spot colors
If you make a spot color named not in English, assign it to a path and then try to rasterize it with "keep spot colors" option checked, the rasterized image will miss that spot color. It will be converted to process colors instead.
Renaming it to English name immediately fixes the problem. Adding a single non-English letter (I tried Russian) returns it back.
This can be easily tested with separation preview panel that hides unused spot colors. Tested on Mac with the latest Illustrator, also tried on older Illustrator CC - behaviour is the same.

Basic functions not working in Illustrator. Shapes don't have the "smart circles" to resize objects. Working in current version on CC
All of a sudden with a current Mac upgrade Illustrator has gone south. Drawing shapes now doesn't allow for smart reshaping, can't select paths, some files just won't allow ANY changes at all. Working on current CC version, 2018

Tools all become 'locked' requiring reboot (of Illustrator, not OS)
Windows 10, March 2018 Illustrator (latest).
This has happened maybe five or six times now, I think only since the latest update, apparently random occurrence (or I can't spot a common theme). Working on an unlocked layer, all drawing tools get a 'not available' symbol next to them. Can select objects in the layers panel but nowhere else. The only fix is to restart Illustrator - just closing and reopening the document (or indeed another document) does not unlock the tools.

Registered trademark glyph gets randomly swapped to its alternate in text with Gotham Medium font applied when navigating the document
Weird Glyph problem going on. Basically we have registered "R"s on our artworks, and on some occasions the glyph is applying superscript to the superscript "R" making it half the size it should be. Font is Gotham Medium using CC 2018 macOS High Sierra, Suitcase Fusion. Even weird that its changing when I scroll around the artwork to the smaller "R"? any ideas as I'm lost. This was happening also in CC 2017

When placing a linked file, it only shows the first artboard no matter which one I select.

When corner radius is set to 0px, it reverses to 3px
I have a rectangle, with 3px rounded corners. But when I try to set it to 0px for one specific corner, it is reverted to 3px (not in the input field, only on the look of the rectangle).

Illustrator File Loading Problem
When opening a file Illustrator makes the program window really small then loads the entire file before giving the error message "Not enough room for the document to open" this is extraordinarily inefficient and very embarrassing when sitting with a client, especially seeing as though they are being charged for the time!

Screen rendering issue w/ Illustrator CC 22.1
If I have the "GPU Performance" enabled, my screen goes crazy with just glitches and artifacts everywhere. As soon as I deactivate the GPU rendering, everything is going to be normal again.
My specs :
Macbook Pro 15" mid 2014

Al abrir mi Illustrator me aparece un mensaje de error "no es posible establecer el numero máximo de archivos que se deben abrir illustrator", esto ocurrió de un día a otro, el día anterior lo cerré normalmente, apagué mi mac y al día siguiente al abrir el programa me apareció ese mensaje.
¿Que debo hacer?

Panels stuck under menu bar when using two monitors
When Ai is displayed on a secondary monitor, if that second monitor is off and than on again, all panels get moved back to the primary display, some of them being stuck under the Mac OS menu bar — where it becomes impossible to move the panels again. Fixes include choosing a fresh unused workspace, but repeating the sequence damages that workspace. Also workspaces saved while using a second monitor don't honor that layout when selected again.

Inaccurate paths
Good day
Before the big update back in 2017, Illustrator's paths were very accurate in terms of using pathfinder tools and intense zooming in. I'm not sure what the new updates were, but it's frustrating.
Attached are screenshots of what I'm talking about. I punched 2 objects (namely black colour and green colour), using the exact same ellipse that I copied and pasted in front. I used to do this all the time, but with better results. Now it's as if it purposely goes out of the accuracy it once had. I'm zoomed in all the way with these screenshots.

Hello,
I use an illustrator file with variables with 100 datasets.
Problem: when switching through datasets via the small triangle buttons recently gives strange popup "the actual values are not captured and will be deleted when switching , continue?" - was not the case before!! i never had this message since 1 year and i nothing changed, apart from the content of the variables.
When clicking button "ok" the next dataset is shown without problem. The problem is that i cannot make a batch processing any more, because this useless message needs to be clicked every time.
I dont understand…
1 votePlease accept my sincere apology for the inconvenience. Looks like the current values in the document that are linked to variable are updated and not captured in new data set. Try capturing new data set and then switch.

"Save as SVG" exports mojibake-parttern-ID when it contains CJK character
Illustrator CC 2018 (v22.1) on Windows 7
When I save the attached document as SVG in any setting, the stripe patterns had gone completely. I checked up the exported SVG file and noticed the pattern ID defines itself correctly, but actual tag id referenced by "xlink:href" attribute is a wrong mojibake-ID.
And I know this will not happen when use "Export for Screen". It export correctly, but not scriptable. I think it very strange...
