Crashing immediately when opened
I have not been able to use Illustrator 2018 for over a week now. I am using High Sierra and I have checked all the updates. I can't open from a file or directly from the toolbar. I have sent a few crash reports but to no avail.

text libraries
Hi, I am having trouble adding text to CC Libraries. It seems like you have to have Point Type instead of Area Type in order to add it correctly. It would be useful to be able to add both types of type.

Ai artboards all look like someone took an eraser over them.
Ai CC2018. Opening any file sent by my teacher for class, I am the only student in class whose artboard looks like someone took an eraser over it. We've checked for hidden layers, etc. to no avail. I cannot even find the uninstall option to uninstall and reinstall it. Can someone help? I'm running Mac 10.13.2.

Illustrator CC 2018 for Mac Hangs up When Reading an EPS File
Illustrator CC 2018 for Mac hangs up when I attempt to read the attached EPS file. I have been using Illustrator to read this type of EPS file for years with no difficulties. I have to force-quit Illustrator to continue. I attach a sample file that hangs up Illustrator on my system. Just in case you need to know, my system has all updates installed.

Changing colour by pasting code doesn't register as a change / can't save.
I've got a pallette file (yes I should make a swatch), but that's not the issue.
If I copy the code from one colour, then select an object in a different file and paste the code into the box… The program doesn't register a change has happened.
So when I "cmd+s" it doesn't register and my assets don't update in AE.1 vote -
Zoom issue
When zooming in from 3200% to 6400% or more, this line starts acting weird. The stroke should not be outside of the path line, but it seems like it's having a rendering issue or something. Seems like it might be a problem only when previewing on CPU. I switched to GPU preview and it's fine, but if I switch back it looks like the attachment

Can't move an object less than 1 pt
When I drag an object to move it, it will move in increments of 1pt (e.g. I cannot move it 0.5pt).

Scale box not appearing
every time I try to scale an object/shape/path, all I am shown are the anchor points for every object. Even in selection mode, it just shows the anchor points.

File Error When Opening
I have been having these messages pop up for the past 2 months.
When I try to open a file the message pops up, when you hit OK it opens the file but with missing elements. I then exit out of the file and re open it. Sometimes this solves the problem and other times I have to re open that file 3 other times.

Gradient stops being rotated when applied to a compound path
When I make a compound path and give it a gradient and rotate it manually by 180 degrees everything is OK.
When I rotate this object back by 180 degrees also everything is OK (gradient returns back to original 0 degrees). This how it should work.
But when I save the file and open it again, this rotated object gets "damaged" — when I try to rotate it by 180 degrees, this gradient doesn't rotate, but it should. plz see the attachment when i open illustrator file in cs6 its opening in right

Adding Preset Brushes to Brushes CAN cause drop down menu to break
I wanted to have all the brushes that come packed with Illustrator available to me at all times. I loaded the ones I wanted, selected and added the brushes. Once I did this the drop down menu crashes and will not come back, the top is lost and does not scroll up. This has effected all my documents until I closed down Illustrator. When I did this again it was fine.... any ideas?

Once you load all the brushes that you need in brushes panel, Save it as library from the flyout and you can open this library everytime you want to use it.
You can mark the library persistent, so that it opens on restarting the application.

Unable to create bitmaps in photoshop CC 2018. They are corrupted and appear solid black in the preview window. The bitmaps print as solid black when printed from a CC illustrator 2018 file. I always thought that bitmaps were compatible with illustrator.

When importing .psd files just saved they appear as colorful bitmap gibberish
Multiple time and duplicated by co-worker. I will create a .psd file, save then when placed, they appear in Illustrator as "Op Art", a colorful nonsensical bitmap. I have to entirely close out of the program to correct. These files are fine in previews, bridge and in Photoshop/ Also fine once Illustrator regains sobriety.

Illustrator refusing to show fonts in character search when typing with no drop down, illustrator cc 2018
Changing font by clicking in the character search bar doesn't bring up the drop down or show the font changing... it's acting really buggy

Decimal delimiter gets ignored in values
When i want to choose the thickness for a line for example 0.25 mm / 0,25 mm AI automatically turns it into 25 mm.
In Denmark we use " , " and in USA they use " . " for decimals. I'm pretty sure.
I have Windows 10 whit english UI but danish system settings and Danish keyboard. And all my Adobe products in English or US. I'm not sure.1 vote -
Release Layers (sequence)
When the groups are released into layers I have to specifically deselect any object that I have selected in that layer. If not and I want to simply select the next group or object to continue the same procedure, that layer which I have just released and has an item selected will keep popping open even if I close it specifically. Every time I click on a different object or group in the layers panel that last released one will open up, and in my case it contains a looooot of objects.
Also, as mentioned before, sometimes it seems not…

Will deselect anything that is not visible
Since the last update if you have a long file and want to select a big chink of it everything has to be visible while selecting. Otherwise, if I start dragging from the middle let's say and have to scroll until I get till the end of the document/artboard, everything that went off screen get deselected and I'm only left with the last chunk of content that is visible. Slows down a lot working on web designs when you have to move a big chunk of content around because you've changed something before it.

The software is glitching and refusing to open certain Illustrator files.
I have to quit and open the software multiple times before I can get one file to open in this latest update.
