1. Constant crashing - can't even move an object

   Have updated my illustrator to the most recent version 29.1.

   Using Mac OS Sequoa 15.1.1 - M1.

   1. I would make changes, scroll to another section of my frame. Return back and my changes were then 'reverted'.

   2. Every time I open the app it lags, spinning wheel of death, and all i'm doing is trying to maybe zoom in or out, copy or move an object.

   I have reverted to old versions, reinstalled etc

   It's a small file, good computer with heaps of memory.

   Illustrator is basically unusable at this point and can't do my work. .

3. When does Adobe plan to update Illustrator to new Windows 11 (24H2)?

   I can't install Illustrator on my new Windows 11 (24H2) computer.

   I understand that this 2024 operating system is not yet compatible with Illustrator. When does Adobe plan to update?

   Currently compatible Windows operating systems 11 v23H2, v22H2 and v21H2, Windows 10 v22H2 and v21H2

4. Can't add new items to my CC Libraries when working from home

   Here is my issue, I have two Mac computers both running the latest version of the Ventura operating system (13.6.7 at the time of this post), one of them is at the office and the other one is at home for work I do when away from the office.

   I have a teams account with Adobe provided by my employer. I log into CC using the same ID on both machines. On my computer at the office, I can add new items to any of my Adobe Libraries in any of the apps. However, on my home computer I can't add anything new? I can delete items from my libraries and drag and drop from these libraries into my documents but I am unable to drag into the library, add to library using the menus or use the plus signs at the bottom of the pallets as these are greyed out on my home Mac.

   Things I have already tried to fix this myself are: I have cleaned the CC app using the cleaner tool and re-installed it. I have removed the CC library from my system Library folder and it has been re-created by the CC app. I don't know what else I can do to fix this issue, any help will be greatly apprecieated.

5. Cannot double-click on a text to switch to the Text tool and activate text editing mode as before

   Since yesterday Illustrator (29.1) has virtually become unusable to me and I have no idea what happened. I didn't install any new apps.

6. Illustrator 29.1 Can't Import AI Files From Other Apps

   I posted something about this in the Illustrator user forums earlier today. I've been dealing with a bug present in the Illustrator 29.1 update that was pushed to users this morning. This new version cannot open AI files exported by rival graphics applications if the AI file contains any live text objects. If the artwork is all raw vectors, even with complex fills, it opens fine. Any live text makes it a no-go.

   When attempting to open the AI file containing text objects this message is displayed:
   "Illustrator could partially read this file. We recovered as much of the file as possible, but some content might be missing. Open to view the recovered file."

   When the file is opened there is no content, just an empty placement box.

   Rebooting, resetting Illustrator preferences, doing disk cleanup, etc made no difference. The problem still persists.

   The only solution appears to be installing a previous build of Illustrator and opening the exported AI files there.

   I first encountered the problem on my desktop PC at work (running Win 11 Pro). Then I checked my home setup (an Alienware notebook still running Win 10 Pro). Sure enough, after the patch for Illustrator 29.1 applied it would no longer open AI files made by other applications if the files contained text objects. The latest Beta build is also affected by the same problem.

   This might not seem like an important issue, but it is pretty common to handle art files made by customers or by co-workers who are using other rival design applications (such as CorelDRAW).

   I also tested whether any plugins, such as those from Astute Graphics, could be contributing to the issue. Removing all the plugins and even resetting preferences afterward didn't make any difference.

   Help Bar is available only in the latest Beta (starting with 29.2) and Prerelease builds so far. As soon as the team decides it’s ready to be pushed into main build, you’ll be able to get it. At the moment you can install Beta build from CCD app, or just wait.

Could just be the color picker, could not. Doesnt happen reliably with color picker use. Only happens in Illustrator and only since the Sequoia upgrade. Something isnt working right between the OS and app.
   If screen monitoring is turned off, Illustrator should not be able to monitor.

   Illustrator uses Apple screenshot API to pick colors outside the Illustrator window with Eyedropper tool. Apple has enhanced security in the recent OS updates to let user know which applications are recording the screen, whether you pick a color value of single pixel or recording the entire screen.

   Illustrator is not recording users's screen, it is required for Eyedropper tool to pick color from single pixel.

9. Command-H stopped working for show/hide edges in 29.0.1.

   Maybe this stopped earlier, I never bothered with any release of 2024.

   I've been using Illustrator since 2000 and this hotkey is ingrained into my fingers. I don't care that MacOS wants to use command-hide to hide programs.

   Fooling around in Illustrator's keyboard settings reveals that if I set this to something else, I can't even reassign it to command-h.

   And annoyingly enough System Settings says that I can't assign custom shortcuts to Illustrator so I can't work around this by assigning nothing to illustrator>hide illustrator. Is this a deliberate choice being made by Adobe, the same way someone decided some hotkeys are completely unchangeable in After Effects? Any other suggested workarounds are welcome.

10. Draw Inside won’t work with live compound shapes

    Draw Inside is great. Draw Inside lets you create a clipping mask in a fraction of the time it takes to create it with Object > Clipping mask > Make. But it's got some annoying issues.

    1. Draw a shape.
    2. Draw another shape over it.
    3. Make these two shapes into a compound shape.
    4. Select the whole compound shape.
    5. Draw Inside won't work.
    6. But you can put some other shapes under the compound shape, select them all, and do Object > Clipping path > Make.

    It'd be great to see these weird, annoying edge cases fixed someday.

11. App crashes right after saving a file

    New v. 29, the King of Crashes
    Steps taken: I restart the app. (ignore the request to restart from the crash manager, somehow, that will cause another crash soon after)
    Crashes usually happen right when the app is done saving a file.
    This is probably the version that crashes most often in a VERY long time of using AI.

12. クラッシュ多過ぎ仕事にならない。

    2025にしてから、頻繁にクラッシュするようになり、おっかなくって仕事になりません。かならず強制終了してしまうので、2024を再度インストールして使ってみましたが、こちらまでクラッシュするようになり八方塞がりです。生成AIばっかり注力せずに、まともなアプリに戻してください。

13. Pencil Tool not performing accurately

    Pencil tool not performing accurately. Continued issue after updating to the 2025 version of Illustrator. Despite tinkering with pencil tool options, the shape will continue to skew compared to what I am drawing. Fidelity is on its most "accurate" setting.

14. Distorted curve line when saving an SVG

    Hello, when we save from AI/EPS to SVG file, the 'f' edge path of the logo automatically becomes out of shape. We tried different colors and it works fine. This issue only happen on white SVG. Please help.

    Increase Decimal Places value in Export As / Save As (under More Options) to raise the precision. By default it’s too low, and if your graphics is rather small, it can cause problems like this.

15. Somem objetos em branco na hora de exportar/imprimir

    Estou há meses enfrentando este problema com o Illustrator. Objetos em branco, sejam eles icones ou textos estavam sumindo na hora que eu convertia para jpg e outros formatos de imagem e na hora que enviada o arquivo para a impressora. Comecei a analisar atalhos por meses para identificar qual era o problema e como conseguiria resolver, visto que isso ocasionava em atrasos nas minhas entregas de artes. A primeira solução que achei foi adicionando novo preenchimento aos objetos que sumiam, o que me ajudou mas ainda atrasava. Hoje descobri que você tem que acessar o menu aparência, verificar se está o preenchimento com superimposição e deletar esse preenchimento, adicionar um novo preenchimento e verificar se esse novo está sem superimposição e pronto. Quando for exportar novamente esse arquivo não terá mais problemas de sumirem itens em sua arte.

16. Stroke appears to have Brush applied with no actual Brush

    When I am in ANY artboard, I draw a .0139" x .0139" OR 1px x 1px square to center my artboard. I zoom in to as far as I can to then pull my ruler from top left to center the artwork on the page.

    2 things,
    1 the square (1px x 1px) appears to have a brush stroke on it as it does NOT

    AND

    I cannot pull the centering tool (in ruler, Ctl-R ) onto my artboard to then center the coordinates.

    GPU mode Ai uses by default is fast, but can be imprecise at high zoom levels. To see the art the way it’s drawn, with no precision rounding artifacts, toggle it to CPU mode instead.

18. Problemi con "Inflate", il pannello si blocca, i controlli sono disabilitati

    SI blocca, non mi fa selezionare tasti una volta che premo "Gonfia", i pannelli giù rimangono bloccati e non mi fa modificare i valori.

19. Errore sconosciuto all'apertura di un file dwg.

    All'apertura del file dwg generato con autocad (il quale l'ho sempre aperto con Illustrator), non sono più riuscita ad aprire alcun file dwg. Mi compare la scritta "impossibile completare l'operazione a causa di un errore sconosciuto [UNKN]"
    PS: non mi fa caricare il file in oggetto

20. Lighting preview is missing in 3D and Materials panel in Ai 2025, Undo does not work for 3D rotation, performance is slow

    Why is the preview for lighting missing? And why is the render so slow? Also why is there no undo option to take you back to the previous rotation position??!!!! This is Illustrator 2025! Horrible.
