Insane Bloatware Devouring my RAM
Holy **** Adobe. I am not going to be professional or even reasonable in this email because THIS IS ******* RIDICULOUS. WHY are the 30+ background programs running that are literally impossible to kill, and will launch even if they are not on the startup list!!!!! Your absolute garbage approach to managing these background tasks has essentially rendered my PC useless. I am ******* angry and honestly I want my money back for Illustrator because this is complete horse ****. How can you honestly sleep at night as a developer knowing how embarrassingly poor this software suite is set up?…

文字パネル内でピリオド入力ができない。
1.OSとAdobe Illustratorのバージョン
Mac OS Monterey12.0.1/Illustrator26.0.22.問題が発生したときに実行していた手順
文字パネル内でフォントサイズや行送りなどの調整で小数点を指定する際に.（ピリオド）を入力しても反映されず、整数のみの数字として認識されてしまいます。3-4.想定結果と実際の結果

- Macの「システム環境設定＞言語と地域」で、優先が「日本語」になっているかを確認。
- 右下の「詳細」をクリックして、通貨の単位設定が「通貨＝日本円」、さらにカンマとピリオドが正しく設定。
- 上記を正しく設定し、再起動する。
こちらのレポートは対応完了とさせていただきます。

Editing pattern or symbol changes selected layer
Upon exiting edit mode for symbols or patterns the selected layer will change to the top-most layer. It should remember the selected layer prior to entering edit mode and maintain that.

N and M-spaces ruin tabstops
When m or n spaces are in a text, positioning with tab stops is off.

Rectangle’s horizontal and vertical measurements are swapped

Adobe Illustrator 26.0.2When selecting an object, like a rectangle, the horizontal and vertical measurements in the tool bar are swapped. They appear correctly in the Transform window.
For example, a horizontal rectangle could be 7pt x 5pt, but when selected in the tool bar it shows 5 in the <--> dialog box and 7 in the vertical box.
I have restarted my computer and restarted illustrator.

Illustrator allows to access dimensions of an object as well as dimensions of a live shape. In case when a shape is rotated by 90° the shape’s size values can look swapped compared to measured sizes. It’s like tilting a head. See attached images inside for clarifications.

Cannot move artwork with artboard
Artwork only moves with artboard when duplicate action is used. Nothing in layers or in file is locked.

'Export as' SVG No Longer Includes Width/Height on Embedded Images
When exporting an AI file with an embedded PNG screenshot (added via File > Place) as an SVG, the <image> tag in the exported SVG file is no longer being created with "width" and "height" attributes.
This creates an error when trying to use the exported SVG in XMLmind (which states that there is no width attribute on the <image> tag), and I imagine in other contexts as well.
We're on an enterprise cloud subscription of Illustrator, so at any given time we're working with the most up-to-date version. In a similar file I exported to SVG back in January…

3D Materials Broken shading on repeat shapes
When using the new-ish 3D Materials fx on a group of shapes, some of which are aligned and repeating, the lighting and shading on one or more of the shapes breaks.
There is a workaround of adjusting the position or corner radius of the shape(s) with the issue by an imperceptible amount. It took a lot of investigating to figure that out.

ÿ (ydieresis) Uppercase and lowercase are inverted
Hello,
the character ÿ (y with a dieresis) has an issue in Illustrator (I have the french version) when I change the case using the Font menu, it does the opposite. Turning Ÿ to Capital will change it to lowercase, turning Ÿ to lowercase won't change it (the .mov video is more clear)

複数レイヤーの要素に対して同時に「パスの自由変形」を行うとレイヤーから要素が消えてしまう / Free Transform in distort mode forces objects from different layers to move into the top one
環境
OS: Windows10
AI version 24.1.1(2020)および26.0.2(2022)再現手順
１．複数のレイヤーにある複数の要素を同時に選択
２．[自由変形ツール]→[パスの自由変形]で、ガイドのコーナーをドラッグし要素を変形する期待する結果
変形前の元レイヤーに変形後も同様の構成で要素が残る（グループ化しない）version 23(2019)以前の挙動実際の結果
上のレイヤーに要素がグループ化され、他のレイヤーから選択した要素が消えてしまう要望
レイヤー構成を変えずにパスの自由変形で複数レイヤーにわたる要素を調整する必要があります。
複数レイヤーの要素が選択されている場合は、グループ化せずに元のレイヤーに要素が残るように修正をお願いいたします。4 votes -
Filename is no longer selected in Save / Save As / Open dialogs in macOS Mojave
In macOS Mojave only the filename was selected in the Save / Save As... window.
Now nothing is selected so you can't start typing right away or the extension is also included in the selection. So if you need to save multiple versions or need to add a number at the end of a filename you could hit the Right Arrow key and start typing.
If you do that now the cursor moves after the extension, you have to move 4 positions back or delete the extension entirely and then start typing.

Using Illustrator “Paste In Front” creates a Find window on the Desktop
Hi;
I have recently begun having a paste in front (⌘F) issue in AI 2020.For DECADES I have been able to select an item and copy (⌘C) then paste in front (⌘F) to create a copy of the selection exactly on top that I can then step/move as needed.
I have been doing this in the Illustrator 2020 application for years.Now when I’m in Illustrator and I hit the paste in front (⌘F), it takes me directly to the desktop and creates a Find window. (And Does Not Paste In Front!)

Transform Each panel calculating center point differently than rotate tool for arrowheads AI 26.0.1
Lines with arrowheads are rotated off center when using Transform Each as opposed to rotating each separately using the rotate tool. The first screenshot shows the initial position. The next shows the position after using Transform Each. The next two show individual transforms of the objects in question.

手順
大きなキャンパスでデータを作成
既存デザインデータを貼り付け
ピクセルビューで作業
ピクセル吸着モードで作業
キーボードのカーソルキーの左を押す想定していた結果
環境設定では0.2pxに設定されているので、
1pxづつオブジェクトが移動するはずですが、10pxづつ動いてしまうようです。
大きなキャンパス時にピクセルビュー+ピクセル吸着モードにすると、カーソルキーでのオブジェクト移動時に10pxづつ動いてしまうようです。

ご報告内容の現象は、表示メニューの「ピクセルにスナップ」がトリガーになっているようです。

文字組みアキ量設定の読み込みで名称に「コピー」が付与される
Illustrator Ver.26.0.2の、文字組みアキ量設定の読み込みに関する不具合です。
- 任意名称で文字組みアキ量設定を作成する
- 書き出しを使ってmjkファイルを書き出す
- 2のファイルを別のファイルで読み込みする
この結果として、元の名称のまま読み込まれるのではなく、「●● コピー」（●●は元名称）と、必ず「コピー」が付きます。
Windows 11および、macOS 12.1環境いずれでも発生する問題となっています。

ご報告いただきました現象を ver.26.0.2 で確認できました。
同名の文字組み設定がない場合でも、「コピー」が追加された文字組み名として読み込まれているようです。

Textfehler: Worte werden unkontrolliert durch Bindestriche getrennt.
Zuvor angelegte Dateien, die weiter bearbeitet werden sollen, haben auf einmal etliche Bindestriche, die niemals angelegt wurden. Das Problem tritt bei alles Usern auf verschiedenen Computern auf.
Wir können so nicht die Richtigkeit der Daten bei Weitergabe an Druckereien gewährleisten und haben aktuell eine Menge Mehraufwand.
Das erste Bild ist aus der vektorisierten Datei (14.28.25), die eigentlich aus der offenen Datei (14.27.42) entstanden ist. Die offenen Datei hat seit dem letzten Update allerdings Fehler. Das ist kein Einzelfall. Der Fehler tritt oft auf.1 vote -
Illustrator holds on to DWG/DXF files until it quits
If a DWG/DXF file is opened, imported or even looked at by illustrator, then those files can't be moved, renamed, deleted or modified at all until illustrator is quit. Windows shows the error "Can't do 'x' because the file is still open in Illustrator.
Seems to be a 2020/2021 issue as 2019 doesn't do the bug.11 votes -

Copying and Constraining using keyboard shortcuts (Opt/Shift) is causing error sound
This version of Illustrator (26.1) on MacOS Monterey 12.3 is sporadically having problems with taking an object and using keyboard shortcuts to copy/constrain (option/shift). At seemingly random times when trying to copy an object with option held down or option/shift held down and dragging the object with the mouse, I am getting the error noise and then a rejection of what I was trying to do. It happens frequently throughout my workflow, but I'm not sure exactly what is triggering it. Sometimes I get the error noise when simply dragging an object around the artboard, but again seems totally random.

Export for screens importing to After Effects as the same image
When exporting for screens the artboards save out as separate files and in Photoshop and everywhere else appear as they should, however even importing to After Effects they all appear as the same file. If I re-save them in Photoshop it fixes the problem but is a hassle for something I need to do on a regular basis. This has been the case for several years and different versions of Illustrator on different computers.
