Crashes break CC linked assets in Recovered file.
When Illustrator 26.2.1 on Win10 Pro 21H2 crashes, CC-linked files are always broken in the recovered file. Please allow recovery files to remember the CC assets we so carefully curate and use daily - otherwise, we need to always embed external drawings (which sucks). Thanks!

New & Save As
New & Save As is not working in Illustrator. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, made sure all the preferences are the same, but there still seems to be the same issue. Is there going to be an update to fix this or is there something I can do my end to fix it? Thank you.

Problems with scripts and BridgeTalk using Illustrator 25.3.1 on M1 Mac
I have a handful of scripts that have stopped working after switching from an Intel Mac mini to an M1 Mac mini. The scripts will run as expected if I use the Intel version of Illustrator on the M1 Mac mini, but they return this error when run using the M1 version of Illustrator on the same machine "TARGET COULD NOT BE LAUNCHED(59)". The current culprit seems to be BridgeTalk. Any help would be appreciated, thx!
13 votesThe workaround for this is to update to the latest build, 25.3.1, which doesn't contain Bridge related changes for Mac ARM — that's why this error is happening.

Recording Flip Horizontal or Flip Vertical as an Action and running it crashes Illustrator
Apple M1 Mac Mini
Mac OS 12.3.1
Illustrator 26.2.1Create new action
Assign F4 as shortcut key
Record "Flip horizontal" under Transform panel menu
Stop recording
Select an object
Press F4
Illustrator crashes

Getting "This file cannot be found" when saving a new file. Can't save my ai file.
Title says it all.

The colors in the closed file are persistently and almost forcibly trying to enter the palette.
Let's say a spot color was used in a previous work and somehow copied. Later, when the file job is finished and I start another new job even though I have closed it, the copied color in the closed file persistently and almost forcibly tries to enter the palette. I tried to describe it simply in the video.

このファイルを部分的にしか読み取ることができませんでした
「可能な限りファイルを復元しましたが、一部のコンテンツが欠落している可能性があります。」
とエラーメッセージが出て、開くと１２ページほどあったアートボードが最初の１ページだけになっていました。
３０時間以上かけて作ったデータが謎のエラーで消えました・・・。自動保存されたデータはないのでしょうか？

Hello,
I'm trying to copy the name of my working file and paste it into the name of the folder I just created (with the help of the keyboard shortcut), but it doesn't paste the name. I have to paste the name with the help of right click of the mouse. Can you fix this situation?

Delays and Sluggishness
For the 30+ years I've been using Adobe Illustrator, I don't think I have every really been bothered by the app or an update until last year. Now when you open AI, make a new file, or try to drag content around on a canvas or move the page around using the hand tool, the app is very lethargic and jerky. It is as if it is validating all actions by an online verification before any action is done. This really makes using the app frustratingly slow.

Gradient does not show when it is being applied on live text
Sometimes i feel handicapped while working with gradients.
It feels like that Illustrator is holding my leg when working with gradients.Gradient does not show when it is being applied on live text (not outlined text), making it difficult to see the current gradient direction and placement when mouse is pressed. Gradient shows when mouse is released.

Fonts fail to outline when exporting DXF file
Windows 11, Illustrator 26.3.1
I'm Exporting DXF files to a laser cutter. The outline font option in the export dialogue appears to be ineffective. Fonts aren't outlined and the font element doesn't appear in the exported file. All other elements are present. Outlining prior to export until I can downgrade to a previous version.
Recent PC death forced me to upgrade from Illustrator 2015 (I think) which had no issue with outlining fonts.1 vote -
Quitte inopinément
Avec le système monterey sur un iMac neuf et récent ainsi que sur iPad M1 neuf, l’appli quitte à la moindre action dès lors qu il y a plusieurs calques. Impossible de travailler professionnellement comme avant. Il s’agit peut-être d’une incompatibilité système et nécessite une mise à jour d’urgence.

New File Preset Details Fields Are Misaligned Vertically (Cut off)
When creating a New File, the measurement presets (width, height, bleed) are too high within their respective input fields. This causes the digits in each of the fields to be cut off at the top. I've attempted to resolve the issue by scaling the window, updating Illustrator, deleting preferences, and installing/reinstalling the application. Issue unresolved.

Stroke Scaling moves visible stroke away from actual path
When I try to scale up the stroke weight on a path, the visual of the stroke moves away from the actual path proportionate to the amount scaled up. I have no idea what is going on. This happens mainly with custom brushes but I have not been able to predict when or how severely this is going to happen. Yes I'm using the latest illustrator update.

Mirror Repeat (Symmetry) objects ignore being set as a key object when aligning/distributing
If you try to align something to a symmetry object, setting it as a key, Ai will align both objects to a 0,0 coordinates instead of keeping the symmetry object in place.
Same happens when you try to distribute.All other Repeat objects are unaffected by this bug.

Artboard units still not working (illustrator 26.0.2)
Artboard units are stuck to pt, when it is supposed to be pixels set in preferences.
It's so basic, yet buggy. Artboards units are broken for several illustrator versions now, despite the claim of Adobe to have "fixed this problem in the new updated version of Illustrator"...

broken: reading File date properties
Unable to read date properties from a File on Mac (does work on Windows)
alert(app.activeDocument.path.modified)
alert(app.activeDocument.path.created)// always returns null as if file is not saved
I tested on:
Mac mini M1, macOS Montery 12.3.1, Ai 26.2.1 and Ai beta 26.4.2

Symbols don't display when mapped onto 3D artwork - Illustrator 26.2.1

Hello, I'm trying to map a symbol onto a 3D extruded object (See attached) using the new 3D interface. All I see are some black lines. No matter which symbol (even my own), what scale or rotation I use, the display of the mapped symbol does not change?1 vote
