Drop shadow results are unusual when converted to grayscale
Version: 23.1 and 24.2.3
phenomenon:
1. Create an object
2. use drop shadow from appearance menu
3. From the Edit menu, select Edit Color and then Convert to Grayscale.After conversion, the drawing of the drop shadow is not normal.
There will be a problem even if you save it as a PDF.Version 22.1 does not have this problem.

Imported colors from Creative Cloud Library appear twice on the swatch panel
I am running on Windows 10 (intel i7 8565U, 16 GB RAM) and Adobe Illustrator 25.2.
Whenever I try to import colors from the CC library (select colors, right click, add colors to swatch), the colors then appear twice on the panel (see the attached video). I have tried to reset my illustrator preferences, but still experiencing a similar issue.
I checked my InDesign and Photoshop by doing similar steps, and they work just fine. Is there anyone experiencing related issue? What did you do to make this work? Thank you.

Pixel Preview distorts text at 100 and 50% in CC 2020 (and 2020 beta)
When Preferences > Display Print Size at 100% Zoom is checked Pixel Preview gives a distorted (and wrong size) preview.
This does not happen in CC 2019
Create some text.
Zoom to 100%
Turn on Pixel Preview
Result > the view percentage changes to 126,87%
Zooming out to 100% or 50% shows very distorted text.

direct selection tool causes broken anchor points to snap to same angle???
Since 24.3 the direct selection tool causes absolutely unwanted snapping of broken anchor points while moving one of the anchor points. That's absolutely wired and stops any workflow. Please fix this quickly again!

Zoom percentage in info panel displayed differently than the document zoom.
The zoom in the info panel is displayed differently than the zoom on the document above.

Area Type Text with Vertical Alignment Breaks in CC Libraries
It seems if I set an Area Type box to Accent and apply Center Vertical Alignment in the Area Type Options that the text will break up (perhaps by kerning pairs?) once reopened.
The Area Type text is gone and it's broken up point type.
If I were to use a standard Area Type box (Baseline: Em Box Height; Vertical Alignment: Top), there's no issue, and the text remains editable as Area Type.

Version 24.0.1 becomes unresponsive
I'm using Illustrator 24.0.1 with Windows 10 Pro
Since updating Illustrator keeps becoming entirely unresponsive midway through working with no warning and no way to save or quit.
Sometimes I can move the mouse over menu items, the drop down menu will be completely black and items 'appear' as I hover over them but I cannot click them. Other times I can not even access the menus and it is entirely unresponsive.
Since updating it has happened daily even when working on relatively simple artworks.

Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Key anchor align mode gets activated when not actually needed
Imagine I have an art I I want to move side points to be on the artboard's edge. There's a background underneath my piece and it's not locked (and I'm not in Outline mode) — so I can't marquee my 2 side points. What I do in this GIF is I click one point and then Shift+click another one. AI switches the mode to 'Key anchor', thinking that... I don't know what it's thinking :) and obviously pressing proper Align button does nothing.

Illustrator font panels shows wrong data
When I have a text selected on Illustrator, the fonts panel shows a wrong font, it shows a font what I previously selected for a different text and not the font that the selected text actually is.

The Stacked Bar Graph tool doesn’t add up correctly in Illustrator 2021.
I’m designing a publication with lots of data. These figures have to be absolutely correct, since they’re economical and official. I noticed that the Stacked Bar Graph tool doesn’t produce bars of equal length and doesn’t align on the right. There are notable differences even though all my data add up to 100 and have three decimals.

Type on path side brackets shrink after the object gets resized, until moved
With a large text placed on a curve, every time you move any bracket they become very small. If you move the text everything goes back to normal until you touch the anchors again.

Hide edges not working
When choosing to hide edges of selected objects, 1 or more objects still have edges visible. I have resorted to back saving my documents as this feature is crucial for layouts.
4 votesAs far as I know, the auto-keying an object in a selection was a bug introduced in one of versions, not caught in time and slipped into the release, later fixed.
Since no object is forced as a key right now, I assume there is no need in having its bold outline to be hidden when Hide Edges is active, since these two factors rarely meet... However, if you have a workflow that requires to have both — I encourage you to file it as a feature request with some examples.

Illustrator keeps shutting down
My Illustrator keeps shutting down. It tells me I have an unsupported video driver. Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000. It has been doing this all week. I have never had this problem before. And now I have to sign in every time it starts.

Export jpeg files become Recent Files
In my recent files when I first launch AI along with in the File Menu. If I choose to export jpegs files from an AI file, those files now become part of the Open Recent Files. Can we remove this so only files that were actually "opened recently" apprear in this menu, instead of opened recently and exported recently.
