1. Colors in entire file are suddenly completely wrong (when not in pixel preview mode)

   I just encountered this bug on macOS 10.14 with Illustrator 2021. After pasting a PNG into my document, the colors of everything suddenly look very different and washed out.

   I can "fix" this by using Pixel Preview mode OR "View using CPU", but that slows down my workflow. I even tried opening an earlier version before I pasted the PNG, and the colors are still completely wrong! Can anyone help?

3. Keyboard shortcuts not saving. Unable to change certain keyboard shortcuts.

   Latest updates are not storing keyboard shortcuts or reverting back to default with no way to resolve.

   I changed the CPU/GPU preview shortcut (cmd+E) to something else and set cmd+E to be a shortcut for Expand. It doesn't update in the menu and reverts back after restarting Illustrator. I've tried reinstalling, reseting preferences and deleting my custom keyboard shortcuts and resetting them with no success at keeping the shortcuts as I've set them.

   I should be able to overwrite or change keyboard shortcuts, especially those that aren't used as often and I don't personally see the need to have a keyboard shortcut for previewing on CPU/GPU.

   OS – Big Sur 11.2.3
   Adobe AI - v25.2.3

4. Illustrator 25 extremely slow

   Illustrator 25 (the past several versions; currently running 25.2.3 on two separate Macs) on Mac OS (Big Sur) has been running extremely slowly for me. I've reinstalled the app, reset prefs, removed plugins, removed fonts, etc., unticked "GPU performance," ensured that dictation is disabled at the OS level, and Illustrator is still giving me the beach ball of death for things like selecting items in the menu with a dead-simple file.

   I have downloaded Affinity Designer, but it's not making my socks go up and down — twenty years of Illustrator muscle memory makes it hard to switch. I'm not clear on what's causing Illustrator to lock up so frequently — would love to be able to send a log file to Adobe for analysis, but not clear on how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

7. Can't Save certain files on Big Sur (Illustrator 24.3)

   While saving certain files, illustrator starts loading, freezes and crashes.
   Reinstalling didn't seem te work.

   This issue is fixed in Illustrator 25.0 and above for Mac OS Big Sur. Users can disable the “Background Save” option in File Handling & Clipboard preference to workaround this issue in 24.3 and below.

8. Saving under macOS with cmd-S and cmd-D results in an error

   I save my AI document under macOS 10.15.7 with the key combination cmd-S and immediately also press cmd-D so that the document lands on the desktop.

   Since Illustrator 25.4.1, this results in an error message. I have to wait a while after pressing cmd-S before I can press cmd-D. Only then does it work.

9. Normal "Save" operation in recording Actions becomes a "Save as" operation

   Windows 10 Pro 64-bit 2004, Illustrator version 25

   When you create a new action and use "Save" it becomes a "Save As" where it displays a path.

   My scenario: I often have to re-save a batch-exported pdf again with normal "Save" so that all text is converted to paths for a print house via custom shortcut F12.

   Because during batching there is no option do convert the text.
   So I need a second run with recorded actions:

   • select all
   • convert all text to path (outlines)
   • save
   • close

   The normal save operation is required so this can work with any file in any folder!

   Changing the path for the "Save As" operation is a really annoying time killer.

   Please repair normal "Save" action!

    Bonjour. Je travaille sous Windows 10 avec Illustrator 2021. Voici mon problème : Comment empêcher plusieurs personnes d'être sur le même fichier Illustrator ?
    Une collègue travaille sur un fichier. Je peux ouvrir ce même fichier, faire une modification, enregistrer. Ma collègue fini ses modifications et enregistre. Ma modification est perdue. Rien ne me signale que quelqu'un travaille déjà sur un fichier!

11. Missing feature in the French version - UI scaling

    L'option UI scaling dans Edition > Preferences > Interface utilisateur n'est pas dispo dans la version française. Mes collègues qui ont comme moi la version 25.4.1 en anglais ont cette option. Je n'arrive pas à installer la version en anglais, le changement de langue dans creative Cloud n'est pas pris en compte. J'aimerais disposer de cette option.

    This option is available only when OS and display’s resolution allow it.

    As this help article mentions, 'The UI scaling isn't supported for Windows 7 and for screens with low resolution' (however, no actual specs are given).

    So this should no be caused by the UI language.

    Please share the specs of your display or comment back if it’s no longer a problem.

13. Transform > Mirror does not work properly

    Illustrator Version 25.0.1 german (Funktion SPIEGELN)

    Sometimes if i use many time the mirroring function this mistake comes

    An object is mirrored, (Funktion SPIEGELN in german) axis VERTICAL.

    The object is copied, mirrored again and he remembers the last setting and is mirrored again on the VERTICAL axis.

    Then suddenly in between he suggests the ANGLE axis.

    This problem happens after using many times this function mirror, and not evray time very strange.

    I never saw anything like this in the old versions.

    I work with Illustrator all day and something like that is for me noticeable.

14. use 2021 version open 2020 version file, the same image will be crash in 2021 version

15. Auswahl-Darstellungsproblem – Auswahl praktisch unsichtbar

    Illustrator 25.4.1 / Mac OS 10.14.6
    Aktive Griffe werden weiß dargestellt statt in der Farbe der jeweiligen Ebene.
    Wird ein Pfadsegment bewegt, erscheint dieses beim Bewegen auch weiß statt farbig.
    Auswahl praktisch nicht sichtbar, Arbeiten so kaum möglich.
    Aktive Griffe sollten gefüllt + in der Farbe der jeweiligen Ebene erscheinen, wie gewohnt. Auch die Vorschau einer Pfadkontur oder eines mit der Maus gezogenen Auswahlrechtecks.

16. Digitizer driver broken after switching to touch mode

    I'm working on a Lenovo Yoga ThinkPad with Wacom digitizer.

    In normal (notebook) mode, the pen is working properly. However, when flipping the screen and rotating it for hand writing (so that it lies flat in front of me) the Wacom driver breaks. No further input with the pen is possible. Starting the Wacom configuration tool says, the driver is not running. (It was working before properly.) Things are normal again after a reboot - until a flip the screen.

    The issue is reproducible and appeared first after the upgrade to Illustrator 2021 (25.4.1) and Windows 10 version 20H2.

19. shadowing of spot-overprinting-die-line in 4 color work after saving as PDF from Illustrator

    Customers Illustrator 2021, 4 color work has a spot color die overprinting. When saving PDF with all layers the die-line cast what looks like a burn area of die.

20. Grayscale Swatches interpreted as CMYK

    In an RGB color mode, a created Grayscale Swatch does not survive. When copying and pasting an object colored with such a swatch results in a warning. I think this is because the swatch is seen as a CMYK-swatch ny the clipboard and not recognized as created in an RGB situation.
