Just updated Illustrator to 28.1 and reinstalled Maps plugin...AIX files are unknown and cannot be open
Hello, AIX files opened just fine until I updated Illustrator to 28.1 last week. I even reinstalled ArcGIS Maps plugin. Illustrator is saying it doesn't recognize AIX file types. Added the "Mapping components" add-on and it is still not recognizing the files.

Effect Gallery (Photoshop Effects section in the Effects menu) glitches
The screen turns to a blocked out white, whenever I open the effect gallery. This problem only occurred in Illustrator Beta, and not PSD beta.

Cannot paste the artboards because of insufficient space on the canvas
I get this error so often, and I'm not sure how to fix it. I belive it has something to do with guides, but guides are infinite, so they should always (and never) go off the canvas.
Happens when I select an artboard and try to copy/paste

大尺寸文件导出错误
尺寸为2700cm×80cm横幅广告，导出分辨率为72ppi、70ppi和65ppi的jpg格式，结果出现画面不全，尺寸错误问题。当分辨率为60ppi、55ppi和50ppi，虽然有误差，但可以接受。

Illustrator 23 and 24 Lags and Crashes
My entire department has been having issues with Illustrator recently. Will work fine for an hour or two, but then slows to a crawl, takes ages to save, and eventually crashes.
We have issues opening files as well.
we have:
uninstalled, reinstalled
reset our preferences
Updated drivers
and
tried ctrl + alt +shft open to save a safe version.nothing has worked. we can't even go back to previous versions because now we get the same issue with them.
Working on: Lenovo Thinkpad with Win10, Intel i9 processor, NVIDIA Quadro RTX4k and 64GB RAM

スクリプトでアクションを実行するとフリーズする
Illustratorのアクションに「⌘+A」といういわゆる「すべて選択」アクションを作成し、「Select All」という名前を付けます。
Apple Script で「do script "Select All" from "testAction"」を実行すると、Illustrator がフリーズします。
この現象はver.25.2頃のバージョンでは発生していませんが、それ以降のバージョンでは発生します。
改善されることを願っています。
Create a so-called "Select All" action called "⌘+A" in Illustrator's actions and name it "Select All".
Illustrator freezes when you run "do script "Select All" from "testAction"" in Apple Script.
This phenomenon does not occur in versions around ver.25.2, but it does occur in later versions.
I hope it improves.

Pathfinder & Shape Builder: glitch when joining curvy shapes
I'm trying to join two round shapes and I'm always getting unexpected shape glitches in the result path. I tried making this new shape using pathfinder and shape builder, but the results are the same.

2 votesThis is regulated by the size of the art processes and the precision value (measured in absolute values) one can edit in Pathfinder Options.
Although vector paths stay continuous no matter how deep you zoom in, they are still stored on a canvas with rather finite coordinates, and all calculations are still very finite.

Keeps on shutting down, and crashing
New iPad and opening my art on illustrator and it crashes after a minute.

Text on a path doesn't display or export properly
I am working in Illustrator 2024 on my work laptop running Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise (I've had this same issue in illustrator 2023).
I am able to type on a path, but then usually once I exit the file and then re-open it the text is no longer visible. I can locate the text in the layers panel which has been my work around. I'll find the text in the layers panel, target it, cut, and then paste in place. This will make the type visible again.

Center of rotation changes position
Win 11
Version 28.1
Trying to rotate a path from a custom rotation location by entering the rotation as a value, not manually.
I'd expect that you can rotate from any given position by entering rotational values. As it is, your selected rotation position will instead default to center.

Summary
When you select a custom position to rotate a shape from, it only works if you manually rotate the object. You can't select a custom position and then type in a rotational value via enter or double-clicking on the rotate tool.2 votes -
Using blending modes with embedded images now gives darker colors
In version 28 transparency in embedded images doesn't work the same way it worked in version 27, thus making impossible to use older files with the new version.
Transparency (as in soft light, overlay...) gives a different result, usually darker, flatter.
Looks like the issue is with embedded images, not linked, but since I need to use images in patterns I need to embed them.1 vote -
パターン作成時に幅と高さに0.0001mmの誤差
基準点を中心にした状態でパターンを作成する際に、パターンオプションの幅と高さに0.0001mmの誤差が発生します。縦横比維持の選択を解除し数字を均一にしても、「オブジェクトにタイルサイズを合わせる」などの項目を選択することにより、また0.0001㎜の誤差が発生します。

Deleting points/segments causes Illustrator to crash.
Every time I start deleting segments, when I get to the last point and try to delete - my illustrator always freezes and then crashes after minutes of waiting for it to respond again.

Character colors set for character/paragraph styles loaded from another document are lost when the file is saved and reopened.
別のドキュメントから読み込んだ文字スタイル・段落スタイルに設定された文字カラーは，ファイルを保存して再度開いたときに失われてしまいます。

再現手順
① ドキュメント上で段落スタイルを新規作成し，文字カラーを設定後，保存する。
② 別のドキュメントの段落スタイルパネル「段落スタイルの読み込み…」より，①.ai を読み込む。
③ 読み込んだ段落スタイルを適用したテキストオブジェクトを作成し，保存する。
④ ③のドキュメントを再度開く。望む結果： ①で設定した文字の色が，段落スタイルの「文字カラー」に設定されている。
実際の結果： 段落スタイルの「文字カラー」は「なし」になっている。
読み込んだスタイルを適用したテキストオブジェクトの見た目は黒くなり（カラースペースがDevice Grayになり），カラーパネルの表示は「？」になります。
上記手順では「段落スタイル」について書いていますが，「文字スタイル」で設定した場合も，同様の不具合が発生します。

Smart guides don’t highlight a repeat object when it’s grouped
- Please open the attached file.
- Make sure you have Smart Guides enabled (and Object Highlighting enabled as well in Preferences > Smart Guides) and Snap to Grid disabled.
- Hover your cursor over the yellow circle — you will see a blue edge highlighted.
- Hover again, but over the black cross — Illustrator won’t highlight it.
- Open the Layers panel and study the object tree — yo will see that the Radial Repeat is grouped.
- Select it, ungroup it, and try to hover over it again — now Illustrator will draw the edges.
Notice that Illustrator still won’t tell you the…
