  1. DXF files exported with wrong scale

    DXF files exported with wrong scale, final dimensions exported totally different from my AI file.
    I'm working under mm scale 1:1 under illustrator.
    Version is 28.5.

  2. 生成されるグラデーションはグラデーションではない

    2024年前半頃に作成したデータについて解説します。
    グラデーションツールで単色（特色濃度100％）から透明（特色濃度0％）になるグラデーションです。（A参照）黒の矢印で指し示している部分までは均等に濃度100％が入るはずなのですが、データ上でもよく見ると黒の矢印で指し示している位置の前後が濃い色になっているのがわかるでしょうか。このデータを最終、印刷（印刷業者に依頼）まで進めて商品をお客様に納品したところ、納品先の顧客からクレームが入りました。納品された商品を見るとAの写真で示したように黒の矢印周辺が一番色味が濃く出ており（筋が入ったような状態）本来矢印より下の部分も全く同じ色（濃度100％）で出るべきところが薄くなっているんです。（参照B）
    しかも濃度100％より上の部分がすごく汚いムラのあるグラデーションになっています。
    私自身、DTP業界で20年以上仕事をしていますが、年々イラレの品質低下が著しいことを恐らく長年愛用されている方ほどお気づきかと思います。
    20年程前もグラデーションツールで作成したグラデーションをフィルム印刷するとグラデーションの段階がまるで階段のように縞々にでたことを思い出しますが、その解決方法として使用していたのがブレンドツールという強い味方。ステップ数を細かすぎるというくらいに細かい設定にすることでスムースなグラデーションを再現できます。
    が、しかし。
    今回の件で次回の印刷に向けて解決策を講じようとブレンドツールで同じグラデーションを作成したものの、いくらステップ数を増やそうとも、なめらかなグラデーションにならないのです。（C参照）
    そしてcの画像を見て観察眼の鋭い方ならお気づきかと思いますが、
    テップ数50のところを見て気づきませんか。一段一段のステップがグラデーション表現されており、そのグラデーションがまさに上に向かってゆくにつれて濃く表現されていることを。
    本来であればもちろん一段一段のステップが同じ均一の色味になるので絶対にこういう表現になるはずがないですよね。
    グラデーション表現の不具合と同じことが、このブレンドツールに於いても起こっています。

    今回実際に商品としてお客様に納品しており、このグラデーションの不具合が原因で金銭的損失を被りました。
    グラデーションツールに問題があった時の回避策としてブレンドツールを使っていたのに、それも使い物にならないとなったら、この手のデザインは使えなくなります。
    深刻に受け止めていただきたいですし、細部にまで注意を払って改善していただきたいです。

  3. 3D Extrude & Bevel

    I've been working with some of my previous design clients and noticed that when I add the extrude and bevel to a rectangle shape and I choose the draw hidden faces function it just don't show up when I do the expand appearance. I tried to edit by going back to the appearance panel and deactivate and then reactivate it then it worked. Has anyone got this before or it's only me ?

  5. 3D inflated art has rippled edges

    I'm getting rippled edges when I apply inflate to vector artwork. I've tried various settings but can't get it to appear as smooth lines. There's also a slight clipping to the right pupil. Can't get it to render properly.

  6. Direct selection tool doesn't work 90% of the time

    90% of the time when I use the direct selection tool (and I'm sure I am using the rght tool because the curser turns white as it should when this tool is selected) I can't manipulate anchors and instead am dragging the entire shape.

  7. Clipped images gets displayed on adjacent pages in exported PDFs in readers such as Microsoft Edge browsers

    When I place multiple images in a clipping mask, whether it is exported as PDF or saved as PDF, or even if I use Acrobat to optimize the PDF, some PDF readers such as Microsoft Edge will show the image at the bottom of the clipping mask. It becomes a color block displayed on the PDF, but these extra color blocks will disappear after enlarging the PDF interface.

  8. White random lines get displayed while working with placed images

    Good day. I've stumbled upon a visual bugs in Adobe for quite a time now. I've really thought that the sole reason was my old MacBook and although It got me angry at some point I knew I did not had the best hardware so I was in no situation of asking a bug fix. Now, I'm using the ARM MacBook with M chip, so you can say I'm having somewhat the latest hardware. Still the visual bug appears super often and I'm becoming frustrated about it.

    3Dとマテリアルの膨張を使用していたところ昨晩からいきなり膨張をかけた後のぷっくりした感じがなんだかのっぺりしました。端末を変えても結果は同じでした。支給対応を求めます。よろしくお願い致します。

  10. 「クロスと重なり」を含むシンボルの書き出し結果が正しくない - Exporting symbols containing Intertwine results wrong.

    「クロスと重なり」を含むシンボルを画像に書き出すと、正しい体裁になりません。

    • psd、pdf、Webpでは正しい体裁になるが、それ以外の保存形式では欠けたような状態で書き出される

    • 「スクリーン用に書き出し」、「書き出し形式」、「Web用に保存（従来）」、どのメニューコマンドでも同様

    • 「アセットの書き出し」では「書き出し」ボタンをクリックしても書き出しが実行されない

    • Illustrator 2023、2024で確認

    再現手順:
    1. 「クロスと重なり」を含むアートワークでシンボルを作成し、インスタンスを配置する
    2. 「スクリーン用に書き出し」などを使って画像に書き出す（psd、pdf、Webp以外の保存形式を選ぶ）

    実際の結果:
    「クロスと重なり」の部分が欠けたような状態で書き出される

    期待された結果:
    画面どおりの体裁で画像が書き出される

    回避方法:
    「クロスと重なり」を「分割・拡張」などで拡張してからシンボルに登録する

    Exporting symbols containing "Intertwine" does not give correct results.

    • As psd, pdf, and webp, the result is correct. But in other formats, they are exported as missing.

    • Same result with "Exports for screens", "Export as", "Save for Web (Legacy)" or any menu command.

    • "Asset Export" does not export even if the "Export" button is clicked.

    • Check with Illustrator 2023 and 2024

  11. Hands-on Tutorials steps images gone

    Illustrator 28.5, on a Mac. The step-by-step images in the hands-on tutorials are gone, at least in the Branding and Identity Practice ones. You can't follow along and create something "as shown" if it's not shown! Please put the images back in these tutorials where they indicate to do it like in the (invisible) image, they were very helpful. It's not really possible to do the steps if you don't know what you're supposed to be doing.

  12. Copying elements undos artwork name changes

    Copying an element (regardless of what it is) will cause one of the artboards to change it's name.

    There doesn't seem to be an logic to which artboard gets changed. In one file with 30+ artboards the it was somewhere in the middle.

  14. Baisse de performance au bout d'un certain temps

    MacBook Pro M1 Pro 16 Go - Mac OS Sonoma 14.4.1
    Illustrator 28.5

    Illustrator fonctionne parfaitement jusqu'à un moment où les raccourcis claviers ne fonctionne plus, le traitement de texte met du temps à afficher le texte que je rédige et la moindre action fait apparaître la roue de chargement sur la souris.

    La solution (que j'espère temporaire) que j'ai trouvé est de fermer et de réouvrir l'application

  15. dxcore.dll not found

    Illustrator won't open due to "dxcore.dll not found".
    I have been on forums and many people have posted about this.
    Seems to be an issue with the latest update as the posts are quite recent.
    Temporarily fixed by reinstall of Illustrator. As yet, have found no permanent solution.

  16. 3D RGB vector object pasted via clipboard in Photoshop becomes CMYK when editing its content

    Hello! I encountered this error: a vector RGB object with 3D effect, pasted as a smart object from Illustrator to Photoshop via clipboard, opens as CMYK when its contents are edited. Screen recording attached.

  17. BMP bitmaps are seen as RGB, lose transparency and cannot be coloured in 28.5

    Place a .BMP 1 bit file in AI 28.5. It is seen as RGB and cannot be coloured.
    PSD and TIF bitmaps work fine.

  18. 縦組みテキストの行末にある、縦中横の括弧類のアキが不均衡

    縦組みテキストの中で、行末に縦中横の括弧類を配置することがあります。例えば「100ｇの水にとける物質の質量〔ｇ〕」のような文です。

    その場合〔ｇ〕の"〔"は50%アキ、"〕"は0%アキになり、文がセンターに揃わなくなります。縦組みの縦中横で括弧類が両端にあるとき、両方のアキが0%になるとありがたいです。

    環境

    • macOS 12.7.3(Apple Silicon)
    • Illustrator 2024(28.5.0) この仕様がいつからあるのかわかりませんが、少なくともCS6では再現します。

    再現手順

    1. 縦組みポイント文字に「100ｇの水にとける物質の質量〔ｇ〕」と打つ
    2. 〔ｇ〕に縦中横をかける

    期待する結果

    括弧はそれぞれアキ0%になり、文はセンターに揃います。

    実際の結果

    "〔"は50%アキ、"〕"は0%アキになり、文がセンターに揃わなくなります。

    回避策

    • 文字組アキ量設定をなしにすると各アキは50%になり、ひとまずセンターには揃う
    • 行末に縦中横でない文字を追加すると各アキは50%になり、ひとまずセンターには揃う
    • 行末にカーニング500を追加すると各アキは50%になり、ひとまずセンターには揃う

  19. Windows 11 Professional, Adobe Illustrator 28.5 64bit

    Bei der mehrfachen Verknüpfung eines Bildes in einem Dokument war es bisher möglich, wenn man das Bild aus dem Ordner in z.B. einen Ordner erledigt geschoben hat, auf alle anwenden einzustellen und man musste nur 1 x ein neues Bild aussuchen und verknüpfen und alle weiterenb gleichen Bilder im Dokument wurden automatisch getauscht. Das Fubktioniert leider nicht mehr.

  20. フォントのアウトラインを取ると中が塗りつぶされる

    あるフォント（DFP中太丸ゴシック）の「管理部　部長」をアウトライン化すると「部」の文字の一部が塗りつぶされる。添付参照。
    他のフォントや文字では発生しない（自分が調べた限りです）
    現象はwindows版のイラレでのみおこり、同じファイルをMacのイラレで開いても起こりません。

    win10/イラストレーター28.5

    ※イラレCS2でも起きませんでした
