  1. Charter font is misrendered at small sizes

    The Italic version of the Charter font that comes standard on macOS is misrendered at small sizes by several Adobe programs, including Illustrator and Acrobat.

    Steps to reproduce on macOS:

    1. Create some text in a new document, ideally including the character "A"
    2. Set the typeface of the text to Charter Italic
    3. Simply zoom out until the "A" is shown with obvious artefacts. Zooming in again resolves the issue. See attached screenshot of the same text rendered at larger and smaller sizes, for comparison.

  2. Glitch in Convert to Shape > Rounded Rectangle effect

    When applying Convert to Shape > Rounded Rectangle effect to an object, and applying a corner radius larger than the shape can support, one side of the rounded rectangle is given an extra anchor point with adjustment handles that make an overlap visible. This only occurs on one side of the object.

    The desired result is that the corners meet at a single anchor point, as on the right hand side of the objects in the attached AI file.

  3. Crashing repeatedly 26.4.1

    Since the update to Illustrator v 26.4.1 there have been repeated crashes.
    Crashes creating new document from template
    Crashing when copying and pasting objects into Illustrator and crashing when working in the document. Only using basic shapes, although some shapes do have legacy 3D effects on them.

  4. Type Error in Tradition Chinese / 打中文字會冒出重複且多餘的字

  5. Triple Click HxW or X/Y boxes causes Crash

    When wanting to adjust the size of an object, triple clicking within the height/width or X/Y boxes causes the application to crash.

  6. Intertwine objects expand when an effect is applied to them

    When I want to add, say, a drop shadow to my whole intertwined art, I get it immediately expanded. A warning is displayed, but I’d prefer to keep it live.

    I’d put this in user requests, but let’s admit this is a bug, since I never asked for an object to be expanded, and it potentially can stay live — unlike moving one point of a live rectangle, which obviously makes it a non-rectangle anymore.

  7. Can't Save as on your computer

    I use illustrator 26.1 and Monterey 12.3 on MacBook Pro with M1 chip .
    I can't Save as on my computer . The Window is freeze except the format box and the "save on cloud document" button.

    Please help I can't do my job and save as pdf formats for print .

  8. Text gets reset to the default style when pasted (looses its formatting), on Mac

    Team I am not able to copy paste a modified style for the text. Can you look at the issue. I am using IMac.

  9. Preferences dialog window opens small, tiny, shrunk, and I can't access any settings

    Problem with Preference panel in Illustrator since the last update of the app.

    A person from Adobe helped me yesterday by removing all the caches and preferences from illustrator, it worked right after but today it's happening again.

  10. Can't right click to open context menu after selecting new object

    Right-clicks very often (but not quite 100% of the time) fail to open the context menu if the right mouse button is clicked straight after selecting a new object and the mouse pointer has not moved between the left-click (that selects the new object) and the right-click.

    Moving the mouse pointer even a little after selecting a new object makes right-clicks register correctly. The clicks will also register correctly if the user waits about 0.5 seconds before right-clicking, when not moving the mouse.

    If the right-click fails to register, clicking the button again will work, even without moving the mouse…

  11. Automatic numbering does not continue in linked area type

    While using automatic numbering, an area text linked to another Artboard or within the Artboard restarts the numbering from 1 after moving the overflown text to the second linked type area. Please add option to choose restart the numbering or continue numbering with user preference. Another issue is that one point with continuing the lines to the next type area also starts with numbering rather than considering the continuation of the last line from first type area.

  12. GPU Preview Disables GPU Preview & Crashes erase Embedded Files

    Running Illustrator 27.8.1 on macOS Ventura 13.5.1

    MacBook Pro 16" 2022
    M2 Max
    32 GB

    Every now and then Illustrator switches to CPU Preview and disables GPU Preview. This can be fixed (most of the time) by saving, closing the file, and re-opening it.

    Somewhat related, Illustrator crashes daily, and when opening the recovered file, all embedded images are either invisible, black, or turn into noise. When looking at the "Links" panel, those files show up as 0 bytes in size.

    Weirdly enough, general performance is fine.

  15. You just updated Illustrator and now can't connect to Pantone Connect

    When you guys updated Illustrator you made it so I can't connect to Pantone Connect - the arrow button to sign in to Pantone Connect after I type in my email address refuses to click so I can go to the next screen and type my password. And when I try to connect through one step sign in it doesn't recognize i already have a Premium account and wants me to pay again! This needs to be fixed immediately! I have work that needs Pantone colors right now!!!!

  16. File > New > No answer

    Good evening, I cannot create a new file on Adobe Illustrator.
    As usual, I click on File > New, then no answer, nothing happen...

    Any suggestion ?

    I uninstall the app then install again, same error.
    I checked with Creative Cloud Cleaner, same thing...

  18. フォント検索中に落ちました。

    OS:Windows11
    ILLUSTRATOR: 27.8.20

    フォントを探していて、下記内容のダイアログを出力して落ちました。[Kill Process] [Ignore ] [copy] などのボタンが出ていたので、copy で内容を取得しました。

  19. Selecting a shape selects multiple unrelated objects

    I'm trying to select a shape on my artboard and it automatically selects multiple objects even though they are not grouped or linked together in an way. Also, an object is getting selected even though I'm trying to click another object on the artboard. There seems to be some kind of margin around that object but it is just a shape that I created, no clip mask or anything of that sort was applied to the object. Is there a way to figure out what actions were applied to an object when clicked? If not, that could come handy.

  20. Can't delete swatch

    I have a random color swatch that appears in my Swatches palette every time I create a new document. It cannot be deleted. As far as I can tell, it is not being used anywhere. I can change it to a different color, but then if I try to delete it, it not only does not delete, but it changes back to the original color. Right now, it's some random shade of blue, but at other times it is a different color that persists. Here is a video: https://youtu.be/MVJKo4i0xfw
