  1. Expanding in RTL removes numbers

    After Illustrator 23.01,
    When expanding Right-To-Left text boxes,
    all the numbers are removed.

    See attached video.
    (the numbers also don't get selected with "select all")

    I'm on Windows 10, but something similar seems to happen on Mac:

  2. Cant Verify Subscription Status

    Windows 10 64bit, Latest Adobe CC suite.
    Says can't verify subcription status. Quits Adobe apps.
    Tried solutions here :

  3. Show Import Options Not Working

    I'm on the latest version using Big Sur OSX. I was wanting to use import options for Placing a layered psd file but checking "Show Import Options" doesn't bring up the dialogue.

  4. Resizing a constrained proportion shape not accurate to input

    In 'Transform', if I set it to constrain proportions, then change the size of a square to '50mm x 50mm', the dimensions automatically change to something like '49.4345mm x 49.156mm'.

    It also does this with any shape I created. So annoying! I think it worked back in 2019's versions, but with any version since doesn't.

  5. Scale tool not working consistently to resize pattern.

    When attempting to scale the pattern within an object, the preview mode and regular screen modes do not reflect the adjustment input. If I close the program and open it back up it sometimes works again. If I play with other settings within the dialogue box is sometimes comes back as well but never consistently.

  6. Lasso tool not selecting

    Since updating Illustrator a month or so ago, the lasso tool rarely works. No vector points are selected and I'm having to use the direct select tool instead.

    Does it happen all the time for you, or occasionally? in any file, or a specific one? If a certain one — can you share it?

    What is your exact OS details and version used?

    Can you record a short video demonstrating the issue?

    Please comment back, the team lack details on this issues and can’t really start investigations this.

  8. Illustrator artboard turns white and keeps flashing

    Artwork disappears and everything flashes. Everytime I click cursor its happening. But its only happening on my 2018 Macbook pro. I updated to big sur and Illustrator 2021 in the past week.

  9. Crash after trying to delete crop marks fx

    Whenever I try to delete the crop marks effect on a document Illustrator just crashes. At first I thought it was because the document was made on a previews version of AI but it's also happening with new documents whenever I apply crop marks fx and then try to delete those crop marks later.
    I'm using latest version of Illustrator updated about 3 days ago.

  10. Can’t overwrite values in size fields of the New Document dialog

    When creating a new document, you cannot click into width or height box and select as one and overwrite - previously you could do this.

    You have to use backspace — incredibly irritating. Please fix.

  12. Unchecking "print as bitmap" does not work

    Basic shape artwork is printing jagged/pixelated edges. Unchecking "print as bitmap" does nothing, as the print summary still shows print as bitmap as "on". Tried setting print to 2400dpi, but lines still jagged.

    Save as PDF and print with Acrobat results in beautiful smooth lines

    Illustrator 25.0.1 on Mac OS 10.14.6

  13. Illustrator 2021 - Restart Illustrator to auto-recover files doesn't work

    Illustration 2021 25.0.1 version constantly crashing.

    On restarting Illustrator app auto-recovery process doesn't work - It doesn't open up the unsaved files with the Recovered suffix as on previous versions.

  14. Merge button in Pathfinder panel works incorrectly

    Merge button in Pathfinder now works the same as Trim. It cuts out invisible parts of objects but leaves them separated. Merge should unite shapes with same color. This is one of most used operations when creating logos and it is now broken. Sad.

    Merge effect however works correctly, so current workaround is to group objects together, apply Effect > Pathfinder > Merge, then use Object > Expand Appearance.

    Steps to reproduce:
    Create two red and one blue rectangle. All without stroke.
    Position them so they slightly overlap each other.
    Open Pathfinder panel, click Merge (3rd icon at the bottom…

  18. Art Recolor crashes Illustrator

    Using a new MBP 13" M1, and attempting to re-color artwork causes the spinning beach ball which never goes away. Illustrator remains open and non-responsive, and the only resolution is a hard reboot via the power button or command line (force quit doesn't work). Yikes!

  20. Illustrator 2021

    I have a 2015 macbook pro Catalina OS ver 10.15.7, 8 Gb 1867 MHz DDR3 with over 100 Gb free and an intel iris Graphics 6100 1536 graphics card
    This computer was powerful enough to run the previous version of illustrator. However, with the new version (2021) there has been a significant slowdown to the point where even copy pasting a simple design takes a minute to do. It is slow and the lag is insufferable. Is there anyway down grading can become available or an option? Or is there something I can do to improve the performance of illustrator…
