  1. I am using Illustrator v25.0 64-bit on Windows 10 and the Up/Down keys are swapped with the Left/Right keys.

    I am using Illustrator v25.0 64-bit on Windows 10 and the Up/Down keys are swapped with the Left/Right keys.

    Basically, if i select a shape and try to move it left with the left arrow key, it results in the shape moving down. The other arrow keys are also linked to incorrect directions. This behavior is only happening since the recent update.

  2. Unable to turn off anti-aliasing when exporting a BMP - Illustrator 25.0

    Using Illustrator 25.0

    Exporting file as BMP, RGB @ 1200ppi with Anti-aliasing set to none but the file still shows anti-aliasing.

    Had to go back to Illustrator 24.3 to get a bmp without anti-aliasing.

  3. New Layer button change now inserts new layer BELOW active layer

    With the addition of the button for adding a new Sub Layer, the current button for adding a New Layer now adopts the same behavior of adding a layer BELOW the current active layer, opposite to what was legacy behavior before.
    I checked, and dragging a layer to the New Layer button to make a copy still deposits the new layer copy ABOVE the current active layer, so something isn't right with the new change.

    That said, nice new option I didn't realize was there in the New Sub Level button, convenient, thank you.

  4. Lost extra Pantone Colours after Illustrator 2021 update

    I have registered a Pantone booklet and downloaded the PANTONE colour manager to gain the extra missing Pantone swatch colours. This was working fine but after the 2021 update I have lost them.

    I have tried going back into the Pantone Colour Manager and re-updating the newest colour books I want (PANTONE Solid Coated-V4 and PANTONE+ Solid Coated-336). But the Applications to apply them to as options are only InDesign and Photoshop. If I click the + button below to Add Illustrator to the list, it says I have to click the Browse button and locate the Illustator.exe file. I…

  5. AIC save as causing crash

    When working with an AIC file it can not yet be embedded into InDesign. In order to do so, I need a local copy of the file.

    When choosing "save as" and then a local folder, on pressing save Illustrator crashes. I have tried this several times on a few different computers now :(

    Have had to resort to copying the contents and setting up a new document locally in which to paste - not efficient at all!

  8. "Can't create an eraser path"

    Trying to erase part of a path and keep getting the popup message "Can't create an eraser path". This happens in version v25.0 78@219798 but it works as expected in v25.0 and v24.3

  9. Drop Shadow Deletion Crashes Illustrator

    I can apply a drop shadow to a shape, and then when I copy & paste that shape and try to remove the drop shadow from the copied version, the application crashes.

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.1 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  10. File seems to be permanently stuck in isolation mode resulting in many objects being unselectable

    Basically was doing a simple school project activated isolation mode and deactivated it quickly while doing this the application became unresponsive and crashed and the recovered file still had this effect persist with only one line selectable It cannot be turned off

  11. Just update to Catalina 10.15.7 and having lots of issues with Illustrator.

    Just updated to Catalina 10.15.7 and having lots of issues with Illustrator. Initially it wouldn't open. Rebooted and it opened after several attempts. Now can't save a file, it just hangs at the 'Writing illustrator EPS format...' First only got to 3%, now 100% and can't get past that.

  12. Previews Stop Functioning.

    After Illustrator has been open and multiple files are open on tabs the previews on the artboards stop functioning. Opening new files don't function correctly either.

  14. Unexpected fills when editing a pattern swatch

    I manually created a pattern swatch and discovered I had an error. When I pull the pattern tile onto the artboard to edit I have fills where there were none. The motifs and lettering were created in Illustrator on iPad with the blob brush tool and then arranged into a repeating tile on the desktop -- most current CC release. I suspect the path orientation is reversed as when I try to remove the fill I still have a filled shape.

  15. Undo in Isolation mode crashes

    When Cmd+Z (Undo) is pressed when in Isolation mode, illustrator crashes, after a prolonged period of spinning colour wheel. Second time this has happened.

  16. Illustrator remains on top at all times

    I don't know if I've done something or there is a bug, but AI is stuck ontop as the front window and must be manually minimized. Selecting another programs from the task bar doesn't minimize or force AI to drop back. This is really hurting my work flow and driving me nuts.

  17. Recolor artwork modal panel stays in place

    The new recolor art modal panel doesn’t remember it’s previous position and always appears in the center of my window. Is this expected ?

    If it could be non modal and docked in my custom
    UI I would appreciate too.

  19. Export for screen file name not working

    So, I am using Illustrator 25.0 on a Mac 10.15.7 and when I want to export artboards through export for screen menu, the output file only contains the artboard name. The file name is missing (as prefix).

    The process is:
    1. I create a document.
    2. Draw a rectangle (or anything) in artboard named 'rectangle'.
    3. Save it anywhere as 'test.ai'
    4. Export the artboard using export for screen as a JPG, with default settings — Ai won't show any file name.
    5. The exported file is named rectangle.jpg instead of test-rectangle.jpg

  20. My entire screen goes black when I try to open Illustrator 2021

    I have a Mac, Catalina, Version 10.15.7 (19H2)

    My touch toolbar stays lit up and I can tell Illustrator is opened based on the toolbar options, but nothing displays on normal screen. Screen returns after I Quit with CMD + Q.
