Selecting hidden guides by mistake
This is difficult to explain, so I'll just go through some steps:
Create some horizontal guides. Make sure they aren't locked.
Now hide guides, you don't want to be bothered with them while you're working on some objects in a different column.
Add some circles or something. They need to overlap where you drew the guides originally.
Drag select over your circles and distribute them on center. It took me a while to figure this one out. searching for it was no help.
The reason it looks jacked is that it's allowing you to move the guides as objects. You can't See that you have them selected, but you do, and so it's distributing those as well.
You shouldn't be able to select a hidden guide at all. You can't select a hidden object, why should guides be any different? That's the main issue here. Please fix that.

Eyedropping in Isolation Mode is Broken
In isolation mode, I'd like to eyedrop a non-isolated ("grayed-out") object to select its actual color rather than the dimmed color that's displayed.
Don't you think it's far less likely that I'd want to eyedrop the grayed-out color?

Illustrator uses UI scaling for menus from main display in dual display setup
Windows 10, version 1803
Illustrator CC (22.1)I have a dual display setup. Display 1 is 109ppi (27", 2560x1440) set to 100% UI scale in Windows settings. Display 2 is 282ppi (15.6", 3840x2160) set to 225% UI scale in Windows settings.
Illustrator is set to 'scale to higher supported scale factor'
If Illustrator is placed on display 2, with display 1 set as the 'main' or primary display in windows settings, Most UI items within Illustrator display as expected but menus and some other items become unreadable, because Illustrator appears to take its UI scaling setting from the display set as the main or primary display.
If I set display 2 as the 'main' or primary display within Windows settings, and Illustrator is placed on display 2, menus render as expected.
This behaviour does not happen with Photoshop.

Acrobat DC PDF file has a difference spot color name than the same PDF imported into Illustrator
- A production file was created in Illustrator CC 2017 (21.1.0) Windows 7 and saved as a PDF for print.
- The file needed editing and when opened again in CC 2018 (22.1.0) on Windows 10, one of the spot color names in illustrator is different from the PDF file.
- File-open repeats the issue, but File- Place imports the correct spot color name.
- Not only did the spot color name change but the text underneath a color call out, we do use Tortoise SVN software which could be part of the issue. Why would illustrator read that file differently than Acrobat DC?

Illustrator does not embed a color profile when exporting artwork to PNG format
When exporting to JPG format there is option to select color profile and an option to embed the chosen color profile in file. There is no such support for PNG files and I find many times I am asked for a transparent PNG file for print work and am unable to embed color profile.

Unable to retain the last active artboard on switching from another file
This is related to this issue here, though I'm unable to vote or comment on it. So I'm reposting this issue, because it's still annoying.
When I ⌘+Tilde (~), on certain documents (the setting seems to be saved to a document), it automatically Fits Artboard to Screen on the last artboard of the document. It is confusing, and annoying, and interrupts workflows where I need to move quickly between artboards. Please fix this.

Freezing when working on files with lots of details
I've noticed others are having this exact same problem:
When working on files with a large number of items, the program will freeze up the whole computer -- necessitating a forced reboot. This happens constantly with the latest update.

Major Type issues
Having major dramas with type. I cannot select any existing type in any file. I cannot add any type either. On the rare occasion that any cursor may appear, it is so tiny as to be impossible to see anything. On typing, no text appears at all.
Extremely weird and extremely frustrating.1 voteI am closing the ticket due to lack of response.

secondary view moves when editing text
OSX 10.13.5, Illustrator 22.1.
When I have two windows open on the same document and start editing text, the inactive window will recenter its view on wherever my text cursor is.
Reproduction:
- Open a new document
- Draw something off on the side of it
- Zoom in on this thing
- view>new window
- arrange both windows so you can see them at once
- recenter the new window far away from the thing you drew in step 2
- in the window that's not showing the thing you drew in step 2 make a new text box, or create a new point type object
- start typing stuff
- observe that the inactive window has changed its view to center on the text
This drives me crazy when I have pasted the script for a page of comics into the side of one document, and am trying to rework it into a series of word balloons scattered about the page.

Poor quality images from Export for Screens
Mac OS 10.13.5, Illustrator 22.1
Images from artboards containing embedded raster files output using Export for Screens are of decidedly lower quality than those output from Save for Web. Please see the attached image for a side-by-side comparison. Save for Web is on the left, Explort for Screens on the right. Top images are actual size, bottom enlarged for emphasis. Notice the jaggies in the raster images.

Illustrator locking up
Since the latest update for Adobe Illustrator on Mac I have found it locks up frequently with complex files. The cursor turns into the spinning umbrella and will stay that way for several minutes.

pen tool bug, "option" key does not activate usable "convert anchor point tool".
ai 22.1 on sierra mac. 10.12.4
I can see the convert anchor point tool when using the pen tool by pressing option , however when I try to click an anchor point it keeps defaulting back to the pen tool, this is annoying.

Dynamic Symbols don't move when direct selecting.
If I drag a selection box around a static symbol and then move it - it moves as expected. If I do the same with a dynamic symbol - it's broken.
Definitely need this to work for my workflow. Thanks!

Resizing Bug
Been having a lot of issues with a bug in the last couple weeks. I frequently find that the bounding box disappears (even when I have on 'show bounding box') absolutely out of nowhere. The program then proceeds to get very glitchy when trying to move the selected text, then crashes and shuts down. Doesn't allow transformations. I find myself restarting the program multiple times a day and it is honestly unacceptable. This is the most up to date version of illustrator.

"Save for Web (Legacy)" defaults to some arbitrary folder (on Win10)
Whenever I do a "Save for Web (Legacy)" the first time in an Illustrator session, it defaults to some arbitrary location that has nothing to do with... well, anything. I think it might have been the location I used the first time I issued the command under Illustrator 22.0, but that was months ago, so I can't say for sure.
If I choose a different directory and save my images/slices there, that's becomes the new default directory for the remainder of that Illustrator session. But if I exit and restart Illustrator, it's back to defaulting to a location that makes no sense.
IDEALLY: the directory that I wound up doing a Save for Web into should be recorded in the .AI file when I save it afterwards, such that the next time I edit that file and need to re-export my slices, it defaults to saving them where I put them last time.
And if I've never done a Save for Web on this particular .AI file (and haven't done a Save for Web during this current session, either), defaulting to the same location as the .AI file would not be a bad guess. It would at least have the advantage of making some sense.
