1. Common Dialog Boxes lag: saves each step from Dialog Box

   – MacOS Mojave 10.14.1
   – AI 24.1.2

   The problem appears in ALL dialog boxes in Illustrator: from transforming to changing colours.

   For example I want to move my object 10px to the left. I open the Dialog Box, all the Positions are 0, Preview is on. I enter 10px, the object moves to 10 px. But, for example, that isn't enough for my artwork, and i'm entering then 12px instead of 10px, in the same dialog box.

   And then the "magic" happens.

   Let's say the original position of the object is 0. When I enter 10px, the position changes also to 10. But after I enter 12px, the position changes to 22! But it should have been 12! When I click "Cancel", the Object stays in position 22. It doesn't even cancel the last step. I have to do it manually then, each step i've made in Dialog Box! (See video)

   It looks like that every time I use any of Dialog Boxes, as if the Illustrator writes down each step I make in Dialog Box as a separate action. Each time I click preview, the objects resets not to the actual zero property, the one before opening the Dialog Box, but the last one from Dialog Box itself. (see video)

   That's makes impossible or pointless the usage of some Dialog boxes.

   Have someone experienced the same problem? is there's a way to solve it?The problem occurred several month ago, i've already updated illustrator a few times.

3. Layer

   I think the layer colors are wrong. In the following snipped, the purple ellipse and blue rectangle are assigned the color green in the UI but they really belong to the red layer.

4. The input fields and dropdowns get visual artifacts and then illustrator crashes sometimes after that.

   The text boxes and dropdowns get visual artifacts - resizing illustrator causes ui to disappear until you hover over it, and then illustrator becomes unresponsive or crashes after that.

5. ⌘ + = Zooming Won't Work After Recent Update

   Since the most recent update 24.0.3 a couple days ago, the keyboard command to zoom in ⌘ + =, no longer works on MacBook Pro 2017 running Catalina 10.15.3 (both internal keyboard and bluetooth). Seems to be an Adobe issue as colleagues in my office are also experiencing the same problem which requires us to now use the Zoom tool. Note: the ⌘ + - combo to zoom out still functions for some reason.

7. Artboard units do not follow what is set in preferences (v 24.0.3)

   Set units to be in inches, but Paragraphs palette shows fields in points.

   The issue is no longer happening in the latest versions. If something similar happens for you — please comment of log a new bug report.

8. Comment "S" - Command "W"

   If you want to quickly save and close a document using the shortcut keys (command-s) and (command-w), illustrator will save the file but will not close it! And if you then use the shortcut key for closing (command-w) then illustrator closes other open files! WTF?

10. Document Info units do not match Document Setup units

    Select a path and open the Document Info panel. See attached image for all the needed details.
    Happens on the latest version of Illustrator 2020 (24.0.1).
    This is a regression, it did not happen in Illustration 2019.

11. Illustrator 24.0.1 lags...

    Copy and paste will freeze and take about 5-10sec before i can do anything after copying even on simple files. I have tried every different performance setting combinations. Its really like adobe is just letting more and more problems every time there is a new version released...

12. Scatter Brush - Can't modify settings after initial setup

    Hello,
    I'm running Adobe Illustrator 2020 24.0.0 on Windows 10.0

    There seems to be a bug with the Scatter Brush tool, which I've encountered in the past few releases.

    The "OK" button in the Scatter Brush Settings dialog doesn't seem to work; clicking it doesn't update the brush to your new settings. Instead, the dialog remains open as if the OK button was disabled (or the click wasn't registered). The same thing happens when there are no changes made to the options in the dialog...it simply won't register the OK button. Only the Cancel button closes this dialog (and no changes get applied, of course).

    Steps taken:
    1) Create new Scatter Brush with customized settings (all options set to "Random" with varying parameters)
    2) Click OK. Dialog closes and new Scatter Brush is created with settings per #1.
    3) Open the Scatter Brush Settings dialog for the brush we just created.
    4) Change parameters.
    5) Click OK. The button flashes as though it were clicked, however the dialog box remains on screen. Click again and same thing. Tab over to the OK button using the keyboard and press the "Enter" key on keyboard. Same result, dialog box remains open.
    6) Only the "Cancel" button (or "Escape" key) will close this dialog. The updated settings don't get applied and the Scatter Brush remains the same as before the whole ordeal.

16. Average Path Behavior changed in Illustrator 2020

    It's pretty simple. Press the key command for Path/Average. The dialog pops up. Options are Both, Horizontal, or Vertical. The way it used to work was that you could press the cursor key on your keyboard for up, just once and it would land on vertical. Press again for Horizontal. But in 2020, it's different. Press "up" arrow once for Vertical. Press again and it remains on Vertical. Cancel the whole window and start over. Now, instead of pressing the up arrow, press the down arrow once, and it lands on Horizontal. Press again and it stays on Horizontal. So the new functionality is effectively, up arrow for vertical, and down arrow for horizontal. It is no longer to press the up arrow twice to cycle through the options.

17. Illustrator 2020 Character Styles Not in English

    For some reason in the "Character Styles" window, it says [Estilo de caractere normal] instead of [Normal character style] My language is set to English. I think this is a glitch?

19. First click is lost when focusing the window

    Windows, when Illustrator isn't focused, clicking inside the window, the click is lost, another click is needed to perform the intended action. Annoying, because the second click is treated as double click.

    To reproduce:
    Open Illustrator and move the window to the left. Open another program, for example a text editor. Clicking in the illustrator window over a text (with the intent of copying the text causes just focusing the window, the text itself isn't selected. Only the second click selects the text.

20. Character Panel Typing Font Names Manually Issue

    When trying to type certain font names manually in the first field the placement of the letters jumps to the wrong spot.

    When I type "Arial Bold", "Arial Regular", or "Cooper Black" the cursor or text placement seems to fail and not type the text in order from left to right. I saw one other post here with a similar issue but it could not be reproduced. This is the first time I have seen this so far on the new Illustrator CC 2020. After typing the "o" in "Arial Bold" the letters end up typing to the left of the letter instead of the right. This doesn't happen with every letter combo either, which is why I would suggest the font names above without the quotation marks.
