1. Bug on the All Caps (case) open type feature

   If the typeface uses GPOS in the "case" feature to relocate a glyph, Illustrator seems to ignore it. It is working well no InDesign and and Photoshop.
   So the "case" feature is broken for glyphs that reposition with GPOS.

2. NOKY error when resizing objects with Legacy Gaussian Blur

   OS version: macOS 11.3.1
   Illustrator version: 25.2.3
   Attempting to resize any object with a Legacy Gaussian Blur effect results in error message: "The Operation cannot be completed because of an unknown error. [NOKY]". Object can't be resized without removing or replacing effect.

3. Stop "Get started with fun and interactive tutorials" permanently

   Every single time I open Illustrator I get accosted by the "Get started with fun and interactive tutorials" tooltip.

   There's two options on it:
   - "Remind Later", which temporarily hides the tooltip
   - "OK", which opens a tutorial panel and temporarily hides the tooltip

   There needs to be an option for "Never show this stupid thing again"

4. File won't SAVE nor SAVE AS; only SAVE AS COPY

   Working on MacBook Pro, Catalina OS, Illustrator 25.2
   The "SAVE" file is not an option. Whether an existing (an existing file with or without changes), or a new file - I cannot "SAVE".

   The "SAVE AS" option looks to be available, but then it does not work.

   The only thing that is a workable option is "SAVE AS COPY". Which is nonsense. This just started happening and I can't fix it. I've tried uninstalling Illustrator and re-installing. No change.

   This is completely unacceptable and I've wasted 3 hours of precious deadline time trying to figure this out. HELP!!!

   ARGH!!!!

5. Smart guides not snapping to artboard or other objects when multiple objects selected.

   If you select more than one object and try to snap to the artboard bounds it does not show any snapping. This also happens if you have a lot of objects selected and try to snap to a guide or another group of objects.

6. [M1 Mac Mini] Area outside artboard flickers when mouse is moving

   This is a weird one, because everything works just fine when you first launch the software. However once your computer goes to sleep and log back in, the area outside the outboard within your file window flickers as you move your mouse around.

   A workaround is to quit Illustrator and start it back up.

   I'm running Adobe Illustrator 25.2 on my Mac Mini M1 with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD.

7. Have 'Select All Unused' in the Swatches panel look inside symbols

   Right now when you choose 'Select All Unused', it selects colors that are in use inside of symbols and they will delete if you are not careful.

   If the color is not directly placed on the artboard it seems Illustrator can't tell it really is in use.

   Deleting the swatches results in 'Deleted Global Color' swatches appearing in your Swatch panels.

8. Please allow fill="currentcolor" to be set for SVGs

   It is still necessary to open (hundreds of) SVG icons individually with a text editor to set their fill colour to current. This is quite an impediment. I would also like to set classes or styles to be exported with the SVG.

9. Rotation is too sensitive. I cannot use transform options.

   Rotation was too insensitive in the previous version.

10. 制作したデータを保存する際に、拡張子まで選択される。

    Macbook Pro（15-inch.2016）マジック ツールバー搭載モデル
    macOS Catalina 10.15.3

    Illustrator2020／Photoshop2020
    制作データを保存しようとすると、ファイル名だけでなく、毎回必ず拡張子まで選択されます。
    「別名で保存」「複製を保存」問わず、毎回必ず拡張子まで選択される為、ファイル名を変更しようとすると拡張子まで消えてしまいます。
    その都度ファイル名を選択し直してから保存していますが、煩わしくてしかたありません。
    この症状はIllustratorだけでなく、Photoshopでも同じ現象が起こります。
    他のアプリケーションでは、データを保存する際このような症状は出ません。
    解決方法を教えてください。

    2 - made edits
    3 - saved
    4 - the save indicator showed that the file was saved
    5 - closed the file
    6 - opened the file - changes were not saved !!!!!!

12. Placing/opening/importing DXF broken in Illustrator 2021

    1. Windows Version 10,Adobe Illustrator V25.0
    2. Placing DXF into AI dosuments
    3. Used to work fine in previous version
    4. No error, just a blank import. Since the new version of Illustrator (2021 / v25), the place or open option for DXF files no longer works for old format DXF files. Autodesk Fusion 360 exports/ saves DXF file in an very old version. (I assume this is to maintain compatibility with older CNC machines.) The version they export is AC1014. We used to be able to open /place these DXF files into Illustrator 2020, but with the release of Illustrator 2021, these DXF come in as a blank page.

13. Trim Transparent Pixels on PNG Export BROKEN in 24.3

    Exporting PNG used to trim out transparent pixels but in Version 24.3 that feature is broken. Exporting PNG results in a file with the dimensions of the object or group INCLUDING transparent pixels.

14. After latest update, workspaces no longer work

    Any time I launch Illustrator now, it completely clears the interface (no tools, control bar, nothing). Additionally, if I try to select a workspace, it does nothing.

    I can bring the elements back in one-by-one, just like normal, but the Save Workspace is completely grayed out (I did have previously save workspaces).

    Needless to say, this is extremely frustrating to have to spend minutes re-setting up the interface each time I want to use it.

15. Gaussian Blur Effect producing different results from 24.1.3 to 24.2 or 24.2.1

    The Gaussian Blur Effect "Effect→Blur→Gaussian Blur" is now behaving differently in 24.2 than it was in 21.x. Updating to 24.2.1 did not solve the issue.

    The issue: A designer applies a Gaussian Blur to a vector shape and sets the desired blur level to achieve the desired effect. When that file is opened by another user using 24.2 or 24.2.1, copying and pasting the object, or toggling the visibility of the Gaussian Blur effect (in the attributes panel) on the original object will change the visual appearance of the blur (the blur noticeably increases in strength).

    This alters the intended design by the designer. If the file is then saved by the 24.2 user and re-opened in 24.1.x or 24.0 (tested), the blur effect will revert to the originally intended visual appearance when the gaussian blur effect visibility is toggled in 24.1 or 24.0. The actual blur value in the gaussian blur settings is unchanged.

    For example with an arbitrary number, a gaussian blur effect of value 100 applied to a vector shape in 24.2 produces are larger / stronger blur effect than it does in 24.1 or 24.0.

    Also, in 24.2.1, a vector shape with a gaussian blur effect applied to it will appear differently on a white art board background than it will with a white filled vector shape behind it. When a white shape is placed behind the blurred object, the blur appears larger than it does on the white artboard.

    The Gaussian Blur Effect "Effect→Blur→Gaussian Blur" is now behaving differently in 24.2 than it was in 21.x. Updating to 24.2.1 did not solve the issue.

17. Illustrator links are broken upon document recovery

    After suffering through terrible support through the chat in Adobe Admin Console (basically just telling me that I'm wrong), I've been redirected here.

    Here's the bug:

    In Illustrator 24.1.X, all links will be broken when you try to open a recovered document. This does not happen in 24.0.X

    How to reproduce:

    Create an AI File

    Link a png from the 'Links' folder next to it

    Save it

    Make an edit and let it Auto Save

    Force Close AI

    Open the 'recovered' file when it asks me

    You are met with this:

    'Could not find a plug-in to read the linked file "Links". Choose Replace to select another file or ignore to leave the link unchanged.' (screenshot attached)

    The message repeats for however many links you had.

    If I ignore it, you're met with links that have no name, no format, and no location. The ONLY identifying information is the resolution.

    These tests were carried out on a Mac running 10.15.4.

    This is an egregious bug.

    The support agent I spoke to confirmed that this happened on Windows too, but proceeded to tell me that this was 'expected' behaviour, which is nonsense.

18. Can't record an action “Export for screen” in illustrator V24.1.1 Windows user

    What I'm trying to do is save time when I'm saving files. I can't find an appropriate solution for my use case. The "export for screens" interface seems to be the closest solution, I'm trying to add an action for "Export For Screen" but not showing any action please help me. Action not recording export for the screen (Alt+Ctrl+E) PNG

    have a variable in Illustrator and I want to get png output automatically but it doesn't work when I want to record the action..

    When I want to get a pdf output, everything is OK

    But no png

19. BUG: Envelope Distort (with Anti Alias option on) changes colour values of embedded images.

    When trying to use Envelope Distort (eg Mesh) and the 'Anti Alias' option to maintain clarity, if the artwork features embedded images (eg a multichannel PSD that must be embedded for Envelope Distort action) it is clearly seen the results with and with AA active are different. Only without use of AA will the colour values remain faithful to the original pre-distorted image.

    Whilst I would expect some changes along edges, etc. that would benefit the most from using AA, it is seen across the entire image. This is not correct and renders the Envelope Distort function unusable for these cases.

20. Fonts are not refreshed when right sided metrics are changed

    This issue happens in the context of editing the metrics of a font file multiple times (in order to view new metrics changes in realtime).

    Fonts will not always be refreshed to the latest version when overwriting a font file in the Adobe Fonts folder with a new updated version:

    • When a right sidebearing of a glyph is changed and the font regenerated, the font is NOT updated in Illustrator.

    • Whereas editing a left side bearing and regenerating the font will show the updated font with all edited metrics (both the new left & right sidebearings).

    Issue happens in all CC versions, including CC 2020 24.1

    This issue happens in the context of editing the metrics of a font file multiple times (in order to view new metrics changes in realtime).
