1. New Document dialog box text fields - highlighting of text fails consistently

   1. Illustrator 25.2.1 (64-bit) on Windows 10 Home

   2. Selecting the 'Create New' button on home screen (without no documents opened).

   3. When configuring the document on the right pane of the New Document dialog box, I expect to be able to (consistently) select text (e.g. width and height values) in the text fields by doing a press-and-drag to highlight it on the right pane of the dialog box.

   4. However, I wasn't able to highlight the text in the New Document dialog box. Instead, I have to press Backspace on the keyboard to delete the default before I can change them. Several tests have been done, and the result is the same.

2. New Update (v25.2.1) crashes/restarts computer when opening up application

   Every time Illustrator is opening it is completely restarting my computer for no reason. It might be conflicting with a recent windows update or another program update.

4. Auto save recovery data not opening up files after relaunch

   Hi, the auto save recovery is not working in Illustrator 25.0.1 even when checked. My recovered files aren't opening when I open Illustrator after a crash. I'm running Mac Big Sur 11.1

5. Mistake in online help page

   Hi on page https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/cutting-dividing-objects.html under Trim objects using Pathfinder effects are swapped icons for pictures marked C and D. See attached picture.

6. Adobe Illustrator 2020 (24.1.2)-The latest updated version KEEPS CRASHING on MacOS Mojave

   Hi
   I'm having crashing issues with the simplest movements like dragging, changing the type sizes, accidentally double-clicking etc.
   First the screen freezes.
   Later everything goes blank/my screen sometimes goes full black and forced shutdown follows.
   I'm using Macbook Air - MacOs Mojave version 10.14.6. (1.6 GHz Intel Core i5/ 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3).
   This is happening every time I open up AI without exception.
   Note: When I started my computer in safe mode-AI is working normally.
   What should we do?

7. Quick keys did not import to Beta

   When opening Beta my preferences had to be exported from regular Illustrator and imported to Beta. No big deal there... workspaces imported but quick keys did not.

8. alt + Scroll wheel doesn't always zoom

   When holding down alt and scrolling in it takes multiple attempts to get Illustrator to respond.

10. Can an illustrator / photoshop PDF be used as a template to generate PDFs in nodejs (or any other language)?

    I work a lot with generating PDF reports and what I constantly do is:

    Design the pdf in illustrator / photshop
    Lay it out with HTML using a library that changes from HTML to PDF (Using DOMPDF in PHP, html-pdf in nodejs, or a java parser that I can't remember its name).
    Implement it in the system using the variables to be substituted, like any other view (using blade in laravel, handlebars in nodejs, and java iText in Java)
    To which I wonder, is there a way to go from point 1 to point 3? In other words, export a version that can be used directly as a template. Or is there a way to optimize point 2? Stop using HTML to improve in another type of library, or a more efficient process to improve.

    To make it clear, I use Spring in Java, Laravel in PHP and Express in Node js, but any help will suffice

    I appreciate your help, Greetings!

    PS: I don't use Python, because I work with massive amounts of data and this language is useless with it. In fact, python is useless with a lot of things that I do.

11. Resizing a constrained proportion shape not accurate to input

    In 'Transform', if I set it to constrain proportions, then change the size of a square to '50mm x 50mm', the dimensions automatically change to something like '49.4345mm x 49.156mm'.

    It also does this with any shape I created. So annoying! I think it worked back in 2019's versions, but with any version since doesn't.

13. Illustrator 2021 25.1 not opening files

    macOS Big Sur 11.1, Illustrator 25.1

    Double-clicking .ai files in finder launch Illustrator but the actual files do not open. If I drag the files to the Illustrator dock icon(after Illustrator is open) it will open one of the files (trying to open 8 files), then try thru open in File menu and select all 8 files, open a few of them.

    This did not happen until this last update.

14. Hot Door CADtools 12 plug-in not working for Illustrator 25.1

    Hot Door CADtools 12 plug-in stopped working for the 25.1 update. The .aip file is in the illustrator plug-in folder, but all the toolbars have disappeared from illustrator and I can't figure out where they went or how to fix the issue...

17. Artboard copying with hotkey [ bug ]

    macOS Catalina 10.15.7
    Illustrator 25.0.1

    • Select current artboard, option drag to copy
    • Artboard moves instead of creating a copy
    • When trying to undo, artboard returns to previous location while artwork remains in new location
    • Required to press undo 5-10 times as artwork slowly inches its way back to the original artboard

18. Illustrator won't preview changes in the transparency mask until I move the art.

    I just set up a new computer this morning and this is a new problem I have not dealt with before. Any edit I make to the transparency mask in an artwork does not preview until I move the artwork. Moving the view, zooming in and out etc doesn't udpate the preview, only moving the artwork. I tried turning off my GPU performance to see if that was causing some issue but it didn't change anything.

20. Illustrator crushes

    I am using Macbook Air M1, illustrator crashes and freezes very frequent. I have to force shut down my Macbook Air, but this doesn't fixed the problem that I am facing, freezes can up to at least 10minutes.
